This is the reality of nature and society. Just think about it this way - you could go pay escorts every single day of the week if you when to just sleep around. At least escorts know their value and charge for it. The women you describe who are sleeping around are giving it away for free. Just think about how little they are valuing themselves.

The pickings are definitely slim. I wouldn't compare yourself to your stbxw. It's easy for women to sleep around, if that's what she's into. Finding a meaningful relationship is another thing entirely.

Possibly but I wasn't gassing her up either. We just got along really well, had good conversation, etc. I don't think she 'exited' the 'relationship' feeling all high and mighty or anything.

I went through a similar thing recently except we actually hung out a few times and we absolutely clicked. We meshed on so many levels and I actually felt like there was hope again. Then she became consistently unavailable and it was the worst thing to go through. I still see her from time to time at the gym (where we met through mutuals) and I'll say hi in passing but I just do my own thing and hang out with my other gym buddies.
