I care little for the cultural Zeitgeist of body count, but I have my own opinions on the matter. I'm bisexual. I like guys and girls. I don't want to be with someone that enjoys having sex with multiple different people. Sex is sacred to me and should be reserved for someone you share a close bond with. If someone doesn't share that view, then we're not compatible and that's fine. I don't care about the culture war nonsense surrounding body counts. I have my own view and the grifters can have f…

Women may not often harm people directly, but that's often because they get complicit, self-hating men to do the harming for them. Unless of course we're talking psychological harm. They're pretty much the experts in that department.

The unfortunate part of this struggle is how many allow misandry to persist in the left. This pushes good, hard-working people into the arms of the right-wing, who are more than happy to offer men an alternative to "men bad, men dumb, feel bad if you man". Thank you for pushing back against misandry. Men aren't taken nearly as seriously as women in this debate.

You may one of the "good ones", but you'll always be a man and they can't unsee that or shake their hatred. And you're only one of the good ones until you're not. I'm sure you've encountered people hating you for being a gay man. The misandrists are no different than the homophobes. Feminists will never understand because they either don't care or like seeing the rise of misandry. That's when you know it was never about justice but revenge.

I've found that another issue is social media and the internet's propensity to evolve language and pop culture at rapid fire speeds. It seems every week, there's a new word for something or definition change. If you're not chronically online, you'll be left confused when words that you thought meant one thing, now mean something completely different. It's exhausting and I'm done trying to keep up.

Great, another toxic hole for the world's cesspools to gather. The only thing that I agree with is the notion that men and women are different... It's true: we are different, biologically and psychologically. And that's fine. It's great, in fact. The differences may not be immense, but it's silly to deny. It's under the eyes of law that we should be viewed identical.

Our education systems prioritises getting us just smart enough to contribute to GDP, but not smart enough to realise it's exploitive. Sucks even more now that we're going back to discriminatory practices within education. Young boys are often treated as "dysfunction" girls in the classroom environment. It's a lot easier to get girls to sit down and stay quiet than boys that are naturally more rambunctious and need physical outlets for energy and aggression. With primary school teachers being mos…

Odds are it's driving up engagement, clicks, likes, etc. Algorithm will promote whatever will garner engagement as long as the platform doesn't get in trouble for doing so. It's always about money. It's like all the Pride stuff: if companies made more money discriminating against gay people, they'd go back to doing that.

I would say that men are less becoming more conservative, and more so allying themselves with groups that don't (openly) hate them. Doubly so if the men happen to be white, too. But we've seen what happens to male minorities when they don't espouse the leftwing dogma. It doesn't surprise me at all that young, especially white, men are drifting towards conservatism, which actually seems to value them. It's becoming harder and harder to be a socialist when the doctrine dictates that I'm evil due t…

I take issue with your assertion that we objectively live in a "patriarchal" system. Considering you're in university, it is not surprising you're being fed this narrative; however, that is not the topic so we'll address your main concern: Let's assume you have a really close female friend that you care deeply for. She expresses to you she's seeing a new guy and things are going well. She approaches you one day to express some concerns: she's uncomfortable with some things her man has been sayin…

Genuine answer: not directly, no. I am, however, stating that the movement is fascistic (meaning bearing traits of fascism). Much like fascism, it is a collectivist movement that often uses suppression to silence opposition, demonises political opponents, openly supports authoritarian rhetoric, and emphasises the power of the group over individual rights.

a male character does not have to be specially "made for" the female gaze for women to find attractive for example, duke nukem is a male character that is "made for" a male audience, but yet some women find this character attractive it is dependant on the audience It sounds like you're presenting a counterargument, but this is the exact point I was making 🤷

You can always determine if someone's argument is worth entertaining with how maturely they handle criticism. This woman appears to be very condescending and belittling towards anyone that disagrees with her argument. She uses things like gender, education status, and political affiliation to become immediately dismissive of anyone critical of her. Another pseudo-intellectual not worth her weight in salt.

What are we actually offering men right now that makes participation worth it? A very poignant question. I have many anecdotes that lead me to see your cost-benefit framework as more viable than the current culture debates. Seeing men get shamed for the crime of, **checks notes**, "having complex emotions and struggling with them" is exactly why I decided to become a therapist. It's not a contest about who has it worse than the other. We all deal with shit. At varying degrees, yes, but the degree doesn't determine importance in most cases. Misandry is selling like hot cakes currently. It's an interesting dichotomy that men are often framed by misandrists as only wanting sex (presented as morally unjust) and yet when women and some men want to shame a man, the go-to insult is genital size and/or how he's unable to get sex from women. So, which is it? Is having lots of sex with many women good or bad? Or is it just another misandrist double standard? 🤷🏽

That whole opening up to your female partner as a male is a load of bollocks. Usually, you'll end up giving her "the ick" or opening up will be weaponised against you. This is from my own lived experience and the experiences of men around me with trustworthy character. Open up to your friends. Seldom should you let your partner see that side of you. I would argue that feminism is a far-right movement. It's borderline fascistic in nature: it promotes one group over another (women > men); it villifies certain sexual practices (bisexual men); it seeks censorship; it actively wants to control language, institutions, and government; and it enforces traditional gender roles and norms (when it benefits them).

It's a common pitfall in oppressor-oppressee ideology: because a small group of men and women (they don't talk about this part) benefit from our corrupt society, that means ALL men are beneficiaries of the systems in place. You simply have to let them speak and they will reveal their hatred for men—especially when they don't fit the stereotype of a "successful man". They call for male allies but their contempt for them is obvious. The male feminist is the equivalent to when the Iranian socialist…

we are not your enemy I disagree. I am an enemy to all who espouse the superiority or inferiority of one group over another. Third wave feminism has caused tremendous damage to the egalitarian and left-wing movement. They don't seem to want equality. They seem to want revenge and domination.

And this is why the world being run by men for men is a complete farce. Men don't run the world. A small, select group of men + women with most of the money, influence, and resources run the world. Convincing people that all men are complicit in our oligarchic hellscape is just one of the ways they divide and control us.

I haven't really given it much thought. If I had to guess, it's most likely the wider societal view of female bisexuality being recognized as valid while male bisexuality is seen as "you're gay but haven't come to terms with it yet." Maybe it's as you say and they view a homosexual act as less masculine or just plain gross.

Your experience is valid but it does not reflect my own, nor do your assertions about me or my life reflect my lived experience. I'm completely happy with who I am, but sexuality is not something deeply ingrained into my personality like yours or the gay men that you've encountered. I like who I like and don't give it much thought. Just because I recognise altered treatment from people based on one of my immutable traits, it doesn't mean that trait is particularly important to me compared to mor…

I don't particularly feel subjugated under that term, nor do I feel like a part of a 'community'. I don't identify with other bisexual men on that level as sexuality isn't all too important to me. In my own lives experience, most gay men I've encountered didn't care that I was bi. The women on the other hand... Different story.

I'm a social work student and it's pretty bad. I really feel for my white classmates who are being taught they're fundamentally evil and responsible for all the world's problems. We had a guest lecturer on Critical Race Theory that stated that homophobia was "invented by white men". It's wild. I'm just being quiet and playing my part (lest they call me an uncle Tom or "one of the bad Indians") so I can get my stupid paper and actually start helping men

They spent so much time shaming regular, decent men and treating us like we all wanted to make Handmaid's Tale a reality. If right-wing radicals take over and actually wanna do that, it's going to be hard to find enough men willing to die for women that think we're useless scum. According to them, they don't need men. Thus, when the actual bad men come for them, we should let them figure it out like the boss babes they are.

It's because they are no better than MAGA. They are a hinderance to our movement. Given power, they will use the same exact tactics and rhetoric of MAGA. The Overton Nazi window will shift further and further so that you either have to abide by everything they say and dictate or you are a Nazi-Fascist-Bigot-Phobe-Blahblahblah. And remember: when someone is a Nazi, any violence is justified. What's a Nazi, you might ask? Much like the death of objectivity in our Post-modern world, a Nazi can be j…

Decriminalisation for me. I believe sex work to be morally wrong for both the seller and buyer but I don't care enough to actually campaign against it. Even if I did, people will still do it. Oldest profession and all that. If someone is fully consenting in selling sexual acts and the buyer is fully consenting in paying for those acts, I don't think anyone should face legal repurcussions. I shouldn't have to specify this but no stuff with kids. I would oppose regulation as the government tends t…

I'm a bisexual but because I often look straight (no overt clothing to indicate LGBTQ+ status, romantic pairings with mostly women), I get suspicion and distrust trying to enter and fit into LGBTQ+ spaces. It also seems like once you're a part of those spaces, it is absolutely sacrilegious to critique or attempt to improve discourse in those groups. I wish it were different but I just stay out and stay away because that's what they seem to want from me

I suspect it's one of the more inherently flawed systems behind strict adherence to oppressor–oppressee dynamics. In order to maintain that system of thought or ideology, there always has to be an oppressor so that one can remain an oppressed victim. Hence why you see so much rhetoric that we apparently haven't progressed at all since the 1800s when it comes to relationships between the sexes. If things become too equal, feminism as a movement ceases to exist, thus additional problems must be cr…

I love the hypocritical duality of seeing so many people preach body positivity, but will then go on to shame men about their height, physique, hairline, genitals, etc. And you wonder why so many men are obsessing over their looks... We have to be making tons of money, be charming, be funny, be fit, be tall, whatever... We have to be everything but vulnerable and weak. It's exhausting, boys and girl.

I try my best to engage most ideas on an intellectual level, but this is such an eye roll moment. Yes, if women are residing in a war-stricken country, LOTS of bad things can and do happen to them, but let's not pretend they're the ones getting sent (often against their will) to die on the front lines. War affects everyone. Oppression Olympics are a waste of time and boring thought experiment, but worse yet: straight up lying helps no one, Ms. Clinton

Yes, because God forbid I care about racism affecting races other than my own. Leaving white people behind is what's contributing to the pipeline to the right wing and further pushing a racial divides. We can claim to be champions of equality all we want, but if it's only equality for some at the expense of others, we're going to lose and further cement the rise of right-wing populism (which I assume you don't want since you'd like to keep your reproductive rights). So often I've seen "anti-racism" and "feminism" as thinly-veiled fronts for anti-male and anti-Caucasian rhetoric so it's very difficult to trust them and climb on board. While they may be important topics to discuss (when done so in good faith and earnestly), the race and gender topics seem to mainly serve as distractions and displacement from the class issue. We hear ad nauseam about the gender pay gap, but we should really be talking about the ever-growing class pay gap. Men and women in the …

I've never liked the notion that I have to lead the charge and fight the battles, but I'm not allowed to have a say in what we're fighting for or the little details. Feminists said abortion was uniquely a woman's issue and men have no say in the matter, so I've been respecting that. I have my own opinions and think we should do way more to protect men and trans women's reproductive rights (as women, should they not have a choice in whether or not they have to raise a child?), but if I'm not allo…

Masculinity will always be weaponised by political forces. Nothing is sacred to the ideologically captured. Essentially it's just a way to attack men and force their compliance. Since men have been conditioned to associate their value with their usefulness to society, it's easy for manipulation to occur from those that see us as disposable tools. "You're not a real man if you don't do what I say or think how I think."

Because I think that left wing policies are better than ones proposed by the right, but I can't get on board with how Western left-wing politics have become compromised by idealogues and puritans that want to create hierarchies based on race, gender, ethnicity, etc. I can't support racism, sexism, puritanism, and authoritianism so it's difficult to get behind modern leftism. I can't speak for everyone else, but I'm not here to debate hateful idealogies. There's no point. Can't speak for all men, but I've never considered wealth, status, authority, power, etc. to be traits I value in a girlfriend/wife. I've always wanted someone kind, compassionate, sense of humour, and mutual attraction. Over the years I've added a few things to what I look for: friends and hobbies (I can't be the only source of socialization and divertissement) and personal goals. If the woman also happens to be career-driven with tons of money and status... then sure great, but the sweet girl …
