What adds to this is that the video is filmed in Russia, where an old Soviet stereotype says that Soviet machinery generally works very well, but sometimes needs a few slaps to do so. Hitting it is not an outburst of aggression, but standard procedure.

What is this, a presentation for ants? I seriously hope you're not going to show this on a screen in this state because nobody will be able to read it. The rule of thumb is no more than 10 words on 10 lines per slide. Divide the text across several slides, use bullet points or charts (nobody needs full sentences) and if you really need the audience to read walls of text, print out some handouts.

I don't understand why you guys got so riled up about this article. She's basically saying "I am a woman with high standards. Here's a list." If you think those are unreasonably high then she's doing you a favor of warning you not to pursue her. My only real qualm is that it is a post based purely on personal experience and is not applicable directly to any other woman. That makes it a little too useless to be published even on HuffPo.

You're right. The tone of voice is the only device in the world that can be used to express sarcasm. It's TOTALLY impossible to use exaggerated lexis or other techniques for that, and that's why the /s tag is absolutely necessary. Yup.

If your definition of a troll is "someone with an unpopular opinion", then you're right. But I don't think a community that takes that up as principle would go very far. The fact that so many upvotes are going to pro-feminist comments proves that feminists are brigading through this subreddit on a constant basis. Not necessarily.
