“No worries! Take care.” Simple, polite and to the point. You dont need a psychological analysis of why. If someone says they don’t want to continue, that is enough reason to walk away. Now, most people aren’t capable of considering that closure, so should you ask why, accept the more in depth answer and go on your way.

Think of it like job applications. Not every company is looking to hire and not every company thinks you’re the best candidate. But the best way to get a job is to network, so make new friends and learn who their friends are. Middle men are the best ways to get shit done.
