That’s really interesting - can you explain what nesting monogamy is? I’ve never heard that term before but I assume it means being monogamous during the child-raising years

As a fairly intelligent but lower socio-economic status woman - what you’re saying makes absolute sense to me. To be honest if a man like you was interested in me I would find it a little iffy. I have a lot of good qualities but I’m not the full package.

100%.

Every woman I’ve talked to about male bc thinks it’s great and high time it existed.

Yeah been there and done that. I’m sorry you’re having money struggles and projecting them other people.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/23 11:15 PM

I said nothing about money so you saying all this only reflects on you.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/23 07:07 PM
1

Yes I am. I’m not perfect but I’m above average and I work hard to improve myself and take responsibility for my failures. I’m average in all the outward metrics but cultivating those internal qualities is a high priority.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/23 07:05 PM

You’re absolutely right. So much of our attraction to you isn’t based on a static image but how you move through life. I’ve gone from “meh” to “I absolutely want to jump your bones” based on how a man behaves and interacts with people.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/23 08:50 PM

A man who can take good care of a home and children is soooo attractive to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/23 08:34 PM
10

That’s exactly what I was thinking. I’m fine with average for all the appearance/status things but I want above-average character, communication skills and emotional intelligence.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/23 08:33 PM

As they should be. I would never treat someone badly for being poorly dressed. Also, a fresh clean t shirt is not what I imagined when OP said “like a straight bum”
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/23 03:38 AM
2

You’re right, how you treat people is more important than dressing well. I didn’t say that someone needs to be fashionable. I’m not trendy myself. I buy all my clothes from the thrift store but take really good care of them. I do value personal presentation (even just at home by myself) and I like that in a partner as well. Just differing values.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/23 03:35 AM
3

My reaction to bummy clothes wouldn’t be positive and the nice car would probably cement it. I would assume that you don’t put a ton of thought or care into yourself. Then seeing your nice car would just make me shake my head. It doesn’t scream “I respect myself” when people take better care of their cars then themselves. It’s not a money/no money thing it’s a self respect thing.

Very few women spend an hour on their makeup everyday. I spend less then five minutes on my makeup but I’m still “the girly one” of my friends because they wear none. Maybe you live in LA or something but most places women are not spending 7 hours a week on their makeup. Not even close.

I am waaaaay over the first person I slept with. But still think about my first love often because he was the healthiest love I ever had. First love and first sexual partner are not always the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/22 06:45 PM
3

So true.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/22 06:27 PM

Yes you said this perfectly. Also, you can tell when someone is playing games vs just having respect for their own plans and life. The energy of self respect is very attractive.

Yes, once. It turned me into the biggest idiot and I ended up embarrassing myself
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/22 01:26 AM

Being lied to and gaslit was far far more damaging than the actual sex part of the cheating. Come clean.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/22 06:42 PM
3

I am so glad you mustered the courage to do that. The fact that you changed your behaviour to avoid it in the future is also incredibly telling that you are a person of good character who takes responsibility. Well done.

Yes!
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/22 06:34 PM

I love how men think. I appreciate the different perspective you think even if I don’t always understand it! I love when you guys find your personal mission - it’s just amazing to watch you go out and do your thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/22 06:34 PM
1

I think you may be right.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/22 03:26 PM
13

If you think cheating, lying and trying to prove dominance are just male behaviours you don’t think much of yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 08:53 PM
7

Oh for sure, and thank you. Everyone has insecurities, I totally agree. I have my own as well. I think it depends on what you’re insecure about! I can handle a man’s insecurity about his thinning hair or whatever - but if he’s insecure in his own self worth as a human being it’s absolutely going to become a problem in the relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 06:49 PM
9

Oh, after that shitshow I 100% do.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 06:42 PM
10

I sent him to the psych ward? Wow first time hearing that! You can’t love insecurity out of a man. He cheated perpetually, lied and stole perpetually and ground my self worth into dust. So I’m not “going there” with deeply insecure men anymore. They need therapy - not a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 06:39 PM
14

Insecure men need to constantly dominate. They cheat and lie. Insecurity brings out the worst in people but I notice that in men it usually plays out in deceitfulness and aggression. Nothing ruins love faster than that in my experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/22 06:24 PM

You are 100% correct! It repels the good ones but draws in the abusers like a moth to flame. And because we are so comfortable with chaos already we don’t even see the signs until we are in way too deep.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/22 06:30 PM
8

You want the truth? Some of us were raised by broken men so chaos feels most normal and natural. We have an instinct to care-take with them. Often the good boys we had crushes on could smell our damage from five miles away but the bad boys accepted us and made us feel comfortable.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/22 05:56 PM
1

Oh gosh so many things. Physical presence and energy is so hard to definite but I do really dig masculine energy and presence. I love the “protector” instinct and natural bravery in peril. I like how men think and view the world even if it makes me crazy trying to figure it out sometimes. Testosterone does nice things to the human form.

Adhd here and omg this is brilliant. Literally doing this right now. Thank you!!!
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/22 02:04 AM

I’m a person who wears makeup and dresses presentably every day, yes even just at home. It’s just part of my routine that I enjoy and find comforting. It feels like “putting my game face on to face the day.” That said, my makeup look takes all of three minutes. I keep it simple.

And yet that is the easiest part of motherhood. Like, 8 years later I’m still incontinent but incubating and birthing them was the easiest part of being a mom. Raising them is a whole other level

I’m truly so sorry for the terrible experiences you’ve had at the hands of your own dad who should have supported and protected you.

So grateful that your spidey senses kicked in when they did! Bless you for taking good care of your friend and doing what you did to protect her. You’re a real one OP!! I wish all of us were this clued up and protected each other like this. Well done.

I wouldn’t want a man who paid for sex or had that many partners. To me sex and love are tied. Promiscuity tells me have very different ideas about sex and would not be compatible. I find promiscuity kind of…revolting. It gives me the ick to know that a man has shared so much of himself with so many.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/21 05:25 PM

This is refreshing to hear. I’m 40, married about to divorce, I have a one-count as well. I don’t really know if my freakishly low mileage would be considered a good thing or a weird thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/21 05:21 PM

Same here girl. Except I married mine. Now I’m 40 and he’s 52 after 18 years of marriage, two kids and several (known) infidelities and probably dozens more I don’t know about. I’m looking forward to a divorce and rebuilding a fuckwit-free life. When we first started dating it got really serious really fast (because I was young and naive and had no clue how narcissists and love-bombing worked. When he told his circle of friends about us - they told him it was creepy and they were uncomfortable. …

Not at all. You think it’s selfish for women to not give their bodies away but you don’t either. Hypocrite.

Go offer yourself up to your lonely bro’s then. Denying them your B hole is selfish. Stop being so selfish. /s

I promise not all of us. This whole thread makes my eyes bleed with cringe.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/21 06:57 PM

Exactly. It only works on the most needy insecure women. Confident, secure women smell that shit a mile away and will want nothing to do with you.

Right? Don’t threaten us with a good time.

The grocery store, park, hobby group etc are all fine for a respectful approach. I wouldn’t like it at meditation or yoga class or if my kids were there.

Of course he is! He doesn’t care about fathers or their families- he wants them slaving away to build HIS empire. “If you’re not happy just being a cog in my machine you’re not a ReAl mAn you’re a loser.” Toxic users gonna use.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/21 06:29 PM

So he was a loser for taking a year off but now we are also losers because we can’t? You need to pick a lane sir.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/21 02:03 PM
9

No. They’re just financially more comfortable. A friend of mine took a full year off because he had enough money saved to do it comfortably. He got to bond with his kids, trade off with his wife so they could both be rested and made a ton of progress in his training and sport. He was the envy of the neighbourhood for having that year at home. But if you want to call that being a loser - ok.

I engage on purple pill debate sub (sometimes I just like punishing myself I guess) - is that an automatic “no” sub? Could we get a list of subs the bot rejects? I’d rather be here than there!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/10/21 02:02 PM

Um, ew. That’s not cute or charming at all. I’d be making that Chrissy Teigan meme face trying to hide my disgust.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/21 01:54 PM

That’s really sad. Sorry it’s so rough out there. I almost wonder if I’d have to find a man in a religious community to be compatible with our sexual values - but then we would have other values we would clash on. Sigh.. Are the ladies you’ve met at least open and honest about their intentions to hit and quit?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 09:05 PM

I’ll have to tell my husband he imagined our affection and kids and they aren’t real I guess.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 08:56 PM

I usually wear jeans and sweaters. Does that make me respectable enough to respect my first polite no? Not everyone wears club wear.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/21 04:09 PM

I’m a married stay at home mom and feminism has not let me down at all. My feminist friends support me and think my work at home is valuable as does my husband. Any pushback I get is from men who like to say I’m a lazy gold digger but envy the fact that my husband gets to come home to happy healthy kids, a clean home and a fresh hot meal cooked from scratch.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 10:42 PM
2

Why do you keep on about telling the truth to me?? Like, bro, I do tell the truth. You’re just screaming into the void here. You had it but now you’re back to blaming women again. Talking about this with you is a waste of time.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 10:09 PM
2

Women lie when they don’t feel safe and I do not hold it against them. They say that because men won’t stop pestering them until they say they are claimed. I don’t fault women for that at all. You finally got my point when you said “if he’s that aggressive there’s nothing you can say”. That’s EXACTLY my point.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 09:52 PM
5

Saying I’m married isn’t lying. I’m married, it’s the truth. It’s your assumption that I’m lying. It’s also your assumption that other ladies who say this are lying too. And this is my point - I’m already in danger because they are there and a fawning response will not help. You still haven’t told me what I should say except “don’t lie” which I already don’t. You know as well as I do that nothing I say will actually make a difference in this situation. If a man’s gonna psycho he’s gonna psycho a…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 09:37 PM

Ok so how should I reject them then? Say you’re me out on a back country bike ride and some geezer wants my number and doesn’t back off when I say “no thanks I’m married.” What would be my best and safest option according to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 09:16 PM
3

Yes because my immediate personal safety is priority number one. My kids won’t be comforted at my funeral by people saying how nice I was. Sorry that hurts your fee-fees.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 09:06 PM
5

That’s basically what he said in the middle paragraph is it not? How do you interpret what he said?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 08:56 PM
1

Women are socialized to be polite and care about others feelings but we are learning that too many men see that as weakness and don’t take no for an answer. “Why waste our time coddling your feelings when you threaten us and call us whores regardless?” That’s how a lot of women think after experiencing men going psycho. I can’t blame them. I don’t like being rude but I will never risk my personal safety for the sake of politeness again.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 08:53 PM
10

“If a man goes psycho after polite rejection it’s the woman’s fault for attracting him in the first place.”
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 08:43 PM
9

I like that you’re acknowledging the reality that many men do not handle rejection well - as well as saying what you personally would prefer. I wish more men understood. Sometimes rejecting a man is really scary because there are too many that just go unhinged.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 08:40 PM
1

Well I will take the legit heart-blessing thank you. You’re not alone! My comment has a fair amount of updoots so there are definitely more like us. The way I see it - we are the normal ones. Fifty years ago most people would agree with us. The rise of porn culture and divorcing sex from love has never been healthy in my books.

Being an over-achiever or intelligent are not masculine traits. Not to derail your topic but I think it’s important to remember that feminine women are smart achievers too.

/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/21 05:35 PM

I don’t have that expectation or know any women that do. So, no I don’t see the problem. If you pick women like that that’s on you. A man spending 4K in one week on me is a giant walking red flag not goals. No ones holding a gun to your head and this is not a normal expectation. Don’t dig a hole and then cry when your pants get dirty. Men still have agency.

I wouldn’t expect a man to pay on a first date because low key casual first dates are really more of “let’s see if we even like each other” than an actual date. I am a traditional woman who was raised by her grandparents. I wouldn’t date a man who didn’t pay for dinner dates he invites me to. I would happily offer to get dessert after if I thought the date was going well and I like to show my gratitude and appreciation. If a man wants to buy me a steak dinner and I enjoyed his company I would te…

I’m sorry but I can’t empathize. Who on earth spends $4,000 of money they really need on a girl in one week?? Only the most desperate low self esteem person would do that. There’s paying for date and then there’s trying to buy love. That’s pathetic.

Agreed. The hickey wasn’t cool but was an accident. The fact that she didn’t take it seriously is what the real problem is for him (I’m assuming). My response to either a unwanted hickey or someone not taking it seriously would be the same as his was.

I’m like you OP. Perhaps we are weird but I give no damns. The idea of casual sex repulses me. I promise there are women out there like you because I am one and I know there are others like me.

This is my experience in my wealthy city as well. Higher income people work hard to keep fit. Lower income people are the ones who are struggling with extra weight. There are always outliers of course but I see this so often it’s almost a trope.

I would never tell them that. That would be stupid and cruel. You must be very young and immature to have such black and white thinking.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/21 11:01 PM

Not a troll. Thank you I really appreciate the compassion. Perhaps we have different versions of what a warm stable home life is. My early childhood was one of extreme instability and was rife with mental illness, alcoholism, neglect and addiction. A home with two parents who do not despise each other, fresh homemade healthy food is served every day, a safe clean and peaceful environment is maintained…is something I craved as a child. I know it’s not ideal or perfect but compared to my own child…

Just my truth.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/21 09:15 PM

Ouch. But fair I guess. You’re not able to see my true motive which is creating the warm stable home my kids need to thrive.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/21 08:59 PM
9

Because of the children. If it weren’t for the kids I would have left sooooo long ago. The way I see it - we are still on Team Kids. Helping him helps them. He’s a good Dad. If he wasn’t - things would look very different. That said I do not plan on remaining in this marriage forever.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/21 08:39 PM
6

My personal definitions of high value are character-based. In my books if you are honest, kind, faithful, hard working and committed to your own growth you are high value in my books. Money, status and looks can come and go but character is forever and in the end it’s the one thing that counts.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/21 08:22 PM

I don’t mind at all. He’s a serial cheat. I loved him very much when got married and after the first affair. And the second. And the third. After number four - my love just died never to return again. My metrics for high value are all character-based. After the lies and cheating there’s just no coming back.

Thank you. It’s not easy - but it helps to focus on his good qualities and show a lot of appreciation for his hard work. He busts his ass to support us and I’m extremely grateful for it. He’s grateful for my ass-busting too. After a 15 hour day it’s a relief to come home to a beautiful clean and calm house and full fridge.

While I’m married and I’m a damn good wife I do not consider my husband to be high value. Still I’m in it. I do 90% of childcare, cook our meals from scratch, make all of our baked goods from scratch, run all of the errands, do the shopping, do the yard work and keep up all the appointments. I drive him to work and pick him up, I taught him how to lead (which allowed his career to flourish). I keep our home a spotless, warm and cozy place of peace for all of us. I use my talents to enrich our ho…

She didn’t ask for advice on her finances - she said what’s working for her. 45k a year looks dramatically different depending on where you live. In NYC - yeah that’s rough. But plenty of people thrive on that income elsewhere.

It’s so true. The most chadly chads I know have very high social/emotional intelligence and exceptional charisma. Only one of them is handsome but that’s starting to quickly go downhill. Doesn’t matter - his social skills have every ladies’ attention.

It’s odd to me that it’s so reviled. FDS is my grandma’s standard right from the ‘40’s. It’s only misandrist sounding to young people who grew up with sex lib nonsense. My nana would read all of this in here and just think it’s common sense.

Our problem isn’t loving and trusting men - it’s loving and trusting ourselves after we’ve been hurt. You need to build that up again with yourself and when you do the type of man you want and behaviour you accept changes. Being kind to yourself and keeping your own promises to yourself is the first step. Become a person you are proud of. Next step is to decide what your dealbreakers are and to focus on character dealbreakers rather shallow things. Third is to learn to vet men for the qualities …

Men like this get true joy being generous with the women they love. My grandfather was like this and I swear the best part of Christmas was watching him grinning like a little kid while Grandma opened his gifts. My grandma was appreciative of everything he ever did for her or gave her but I think he got even more joy of those lovely and thoughtful gifts than she did. Have you heard of the term reactive abuse? Please Google it. Watch the bodycam footage again in that light and it changes everything. Notice how calm and smiling he is? Self love does not equal narcissism. The fact is you can take better care of others when you take good care of yourself. Taking good care of your body and mind and having healthy boundaries might seem narcissistic to people who don’t but that doesn’t mean that it’s actually narcissistic. The saying “you need to put your own oxygen mask on first” is a very wise one. I was at my worst when I took care of everyone but me. A burned out, stressed out mess can’t really do much for anyone.
/r/RedPillWomen25/09/21 11:31 PM

We talked a bit further and he explained he’s aware of the power imbalance in their dynamic and is really careful not to take advantage of her - including giving her money every month that she is able to use as a safety net if she wishes. I was genuinely relieved to read that.

Nothing is lonelier than being with a man who doesn’t love you. Dying alone is not the threat they think it is - it’s our reality. Even the most happily married women usually outlive their husbands - often by a decade or two. Their worst fear is something we accept as a given. Whose the weaker sex though??
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/09/21 09:09 PM

To be honest - if I had the means I would probably do the same. Choosing a bad partner can ruin your life. Choosing a really bad partner can even end it. I think having a PI constantly checking up on a chosen partner who hasn’t broken trust in an established relationship would be abuse - but for vetting at the beginning of a relationship it makes perfect sense to me. Some people can mask so well and as a fellow ND we are at a big disadvantage with vetting and tend to be easier to manipulate by d…

Your self awareness and awareness of your power along with your desire to treat your partner well and have a healthy relationship is deeply commendable and a refreshing change of pace from what I usually read here. I think you should change your name to fairly-moral. Props to you, sir.

Now she has absolutely no recourse or options if you ever decide to turn abusive (as most men in positions of absolute power over women do) That’s not “lucky” to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/21 07:48 PM

Got it. Basically you want a healthy woman raised in a healthy family by parents who cared. Does that sound right? Even though that would personally disqualify me (good upbringing, but child of divorce) - I think that is a standard that is healthy and pragmatic.

Women die alone anyway. Many women live a full decade or two after their husbands pass.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/21 02:11 AM

Except that he’s not. Just because she’s with him doesn’t make him better. If she is deeply wounded she’s seeking other wounded people because she’s broken and so is her “picker”. It’s not that you’re not enough - she doesn’t think she is enough. That’s usually how it goes.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/21 02:05 AM

I really hope you can heal one day. You deserve so much better than this. When you feel you can only reveal your humanity to sex workers - thats really rough. Sorry you’re going through this.

Abusers do not start out being abusive. They win them over and then slowly break them down over time. Women don’t get into a relationship with someone knowing they are an abuser. Unless they are so traumatized they seek it out.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/21 01:58 AM
3

Nope. It’s not. It’s wanting to slow things down because dang, this one is quality. We don’t want to have sex too fast and drive them away - even though those are the ones we want to sleep with the most! Basically we want to take it slow when we feel there’s actual real potential. I know it seems like it should be the opposite. Slowing down is us on our best behaviour for a good one - but we DEFINITELY want the d still. When we know a dudes only value is his dick they are much quicker to ride it…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/21 01:51 AM

No. Freud coined this term because it describes male desire dichotomy. Women often do lose attraction to their husbands but it’s not because they don’t want to sully them. It’s because men often get complacent and lazy (or that’s how it’s perceived anyway). It might look like the same end result but it’s a completely different path to getting there (there being a dead bedroom).
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/21 01:46 AM

I don’t know any women who have this complex. I really don’t. We want to both wake up with ans have nasty sex with the same man. It’s called the Madonna/whore complex for a reason. Not Dad/Chad. Women do not think like that.

Maybe not everyone is purposefully manipulative but enough are that I’m out at the first sign of that. Perhaps that’s unfair but so be it. I find getting “lost in NRE” a problem too personally. That’s not love it’s limerence. Actual love is built with time and connection it’s not just the “spark”. If a man can’t tell the difference it tells me he’s not grounded enough for me. It’s cute if you’re 20. As a 40 year old I see it as a major red flag for manipulation or instability and I want neither …

This is called lovebombing and it’s a very insidious form of manipulation. Or they are not mentally well. Either way it’s a glaring red flag. That’s how an abuser hooked me. When I became uncomfortable and tried to break it off he threatened suicide. Stay away from guys who do this!
