You're talking about people who try too hard. Trying to hard is never desirable, you should give the impression that all you do is natural. Your style should match your personality and be appropriate to the situation, that's it.

Your writing style is really nice, I really enjoyed reading your post, even though it was quite long. Thanks for your contribution

Usually when a girl starts saying some dumb shit to test me, is seeking validation or complains for the sake of complaining, I just start to look elswhere or stare at her and express my boredom as much as I can. Usually they stop talking very quickly, and then after a short pause (which forces her to silently acknowledge that she's acting retarded), I smile and just say : "Are you done ?" 99% of the time it works, they start acting like good girls again. Women I know don't allow themselves to co…

Yes, once you're an academic you have earned the right to say (almost) anything you want

What about cognitive science ? Research the subject, I think that you could manage to work in this field with your programming background. Look up Steven Pinker on youtube, his books are very interesting and Peterson recently put out a video with him. Otherwise I think that you shouldn't drop out to pursue this. My formation included lots of philosophy, and while it was interesting and that I was very good at it, the whole "essay" things doesn't allow you to become a free thinker, it's very rest…

Great idea. I havent screamed in ages, but mere idea or doing it sounds liberating. I'll bear your comment in mind next time I have something to celebrate or to get off my chest.

You are accustomed to a certain type of interaction with your current group of friends, that's why it's so hard to change it up. The way you're used to behaving around them doesn't resonate with the man you want to become and that you can feel inside you. What you're asking us is a way to break the pattern in which you're feeling trapped. The issue is thay your friends won't accept any brutal disruption. It would seem like an overnight change, they won't understand nor accept it. You are subcons…

Great post. Well written, straight to the point. I really need to work on my urge to talk all the time and on my crave for validation. I'm probably not enough at peace with myself, not calm enough. Do you practice meditation ? If yes, did it help you to "practice discretion", as you say ?

Very solid advice. Don't ever bother learning memorization techniques if you don't do these first.

You wanna practice rehearsal. If you do not reactivate a memory within the first ten minutes of the experience that has led to the memory, then you will very likely not be able to "fix it in your brain". Find some pieces of info on the graphs of memory, it the will help you to understand what I mean. How can you practice it ? Well for example, every four pages, close your book and see if you can reactivate the memory of what you have just read. It is really annoying to do, you will find that it …

Maybe you're being too rough and putting too much pressure on her. I remember I had a GF who was a virgin before meeting me. She didn't know anything about blowjobs, but instead of forcing her I kept telling her that she was really good at it and that I really liked what she did. Also I was constantly giving her ideas of adjustments, etc, while trying to be encouraging. As a results, she LOVED blowing me, I remember that when I dumped her she told me that she would miss giving me blowjobs haha Y…

Don't you think that this could also apply to women you already know ? The only difference being that it would take longer. I have a very good friend who is extremely gritty, and when he wants a girl he ends up getting her each time, but it can sometimes take him a lot of time. He spent 4-5 months escalating a girl from my class, and it was really not an easy task since she was best friends of his previous girlfriend. She probably rejected him 30-40 times, but he kept going for it and in the end…

If you pay attention during class, then you diminish the quantity of work you have to do at home. You can spend all the free time you have just created socializing, or working even more in order to be the best of your class. You gotta sit on a fucking chair 6 to 8 hours a day, whether you like it or not. Why would you waste that time ? No one likes having to catch up during the evening. Plus, if you really want to improve yourself then being good at school is the least you can do. And I'm not ta…

No way, 50% of studying is done at school. At home you should only have to reactivate the memory you have built during classes. Source : basics knowledge on memory, discussion with a memory coach

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
