I didn't even think about the negative implications. Thanks for the perspective. I feel you could have done better, especially when the friend is physically more attractive than your target. Its better to go over the top compliments and flattery/playful flirty than to treat her like a target, you aren't trying to seduce the friend (unless you are ;) ) so you want her in your friend-zone court. Plus the point of an FR is to be detailed so everything can be analyzed.
