How much a movie makes when compared to another movie means nothing if you don't include the costs. $45M domestic opening weekend for a $144M (after rebates) movie is not great. If they spend the projected $100M on global advertising, and if the movie equals it's domestic box office globally like most American comedies do, the movie might make a small profit.
