Even if it's in a joint account, it's not necessarily co-mingled. You recently put it in there and it's easy to trace it. Had you purchased a house with your wife with that money, it'd be harder to claim it's yours alone. Seems she could have calculated her exit a little better. Good for you.

If your parents die while you're married, then your house goes to a charity or a sibling?

School lunches aren't considered a mandatory school expense. It's not mandatory to buy lunch from school. If she packed a lunch, then the cost of that food is definitely part of your child support.

I think men are more likely to commit suicide period so it's hard to say if that means they're taking the divorce harder or not. I also read before that suicide attempts are closer between the sexes but that men are more successful at getting the job done.

Did she tell you she ended it, you attempted reconciliation but instead she went underground? I read a lot of chumplady.com which is a blog for people who don't reconcile after their spouses cheat. It's pretty eye opening. One of her suggestions is that if you do decide to take a cheater back, that you get a post nuptial agreement. Most spouses who appear contrite show where they really stand when asked to put their money where their mouth is.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
