What actually happened to everyone from the good ole days? I was reading through some old posts lately and they're gold, genuine good advice for men. What happened to all these people? They definitely didn't all get sucked into this absolute shit that calls itself the manosphere these days

I was posted on a Facebook group last year called "Are We Dating The Same Guy". Basically some girl I had a ONS with about 10 years ago with an axe to grind wrote a load of (made up) shit about me, and wrote all about my (not made up) kinks. My sister was on there, her friends, everyone saw it. This shit should be illegal, but, obviously, its not

Obviously a lot of this material is repeated and found elsewhere. However, there's one part that really stood out to me - where you said "would you justify yourself to a 5 year old?" And then said, "I was a turbo autist and I absolutely would". That's the first time ive seen that written anywhere, and it really hit home. I would absolutely justify myself to a 5 year old as well, because surely if they were asking they'd want to know. These social dynamics just don't come naturally to me, so it's…

I'm just curious, I had a load of problems with my mum when I was younger that set me down this road, story and situation similar to yours, was wondering how common that was

Just out of curiosity, if you feel like answering - how is your relationship with your mum?

This. People may have developed their views because of the events that have happened in their lives, the media they've consumed, the people they've hung around with, etc etc etc. Smearing someone for having different ideas is not to the way to have these discussions. Also - I completely disagree with everything the guy is saying. I don't think there's any point arguing though, if you roll around with a pig you're going to end up covered in shit.

I'll speak personally. When I was growing up I watched my mum drunkenly abuse my dad. There was physical violence, and emotional violence. I laid in bed as a child in terror every night, wondering if tonight was going to be the night it happened again. My dad didn't do anything, he stayed calm etc but eventually my mum cheated on him when I was 17, he found out and finally they got divorced. She ended up marrying a rich banker while my dad made do and looked after me and my younger sister. As I …

Actually what you're saying happens to women in their 30s is what's happened to you, as a man, You've begun to become more selective, you've learned from your past, and you've learned more about yourself. If you become more selective in your 30s, and begin to value different things in a partner, then why wouldn't women? A lot of the things we were angry at women for are things that we ourselves were doing. I always used to be attracted to the "bad girls", for example

To play devil's advocate - as I'm getting older I'm a lot more attracted to stability, no tantrums, and lack of craziness than I used to be when I was younger. Crazy bitches repulse me now

I recently joined a more expensive (think high end) gym. The clientele are all "successful" people with a lot of money. What really strikes me is how much LESS confident they seem than the people at the standard gym that I went to before

6 years in, made it to step 4! I'm not feeling depressed about it though, pretty happy to be honest

I'm interested - has anyone employed this strategy? To what effect? Because I'm currently in a situation where I end it with girls but they're still obsessed (sometimes for years) - this sounds like a charm to be honest

Completely agree. The only way to internalise TRP is to have the experiences, not to superficially mentally make changes. In fact, in a lot of cases, this will prevent you from having the experience you need in order to ACTUALLY internalise everything.

To put it another way - you want to be who you really are. Noone really wants to have to play this game where we pretend to be better than what we are, there's no authenticity or aliveness in it. Men want to fuck, women want to get fucked. Reality is so much better than all this societal bullshit we've been participating in.

If she's being manipulative then the right thing to do to protect your well-being is to disappear. There's no amount of talking that will bring her round. Wondering if you're being a coward is probably part of the guilt based manipulation you're involved in

It sounds like you're not happy and you want to leave. There's your answer, why does it matter what a bunch of guys on an internet forum think?

What an absolutely incredible post - thank you. I had an experience on psychedelics at the weekend where I comprehended more or less exactly what you just wrote. I observed the part of me that always wanted to be more, to do better, to fuck more, to earn more - to improve. And then the other part that feels like it's not enough, that's ashamed for who he is, and that doesn't feel worthy and valuable. Then I saw how these two parts are both a split in my psyche, sustaining each other indefinitely…

This was exactly my realisation last weekend. I realised that how I act is my responsibility, and no matter how shitty women have acted towards me, my actions are my own responsibility. Do I want to be the man I want to be, or do I want my whole life to be a reaction to the wounded feminine?

An absolutely incredible post - thank you. I've had a huge collapse in life lately, and I've come to see that when everything collapses it's because there's something in my core that's changing. This post nailed it - at the root of everything Ive been doing is "what women want".

The feeling of heartbreak is actually the feeling of the end of self delusion. You're on the right path mate, as you know

It sounds like you're trying to convince us, and yourself that you're not feeling hate and anger for what happened. This is very unhealthy - it's important to allow yourself to feel these things, and let them go, if they're there.

In what you just wrote it sounds like there's two parts of you: The part that only gets girls who ask you out The part that thinks you're super weak The game is to comprehend that these aren't two separate things - that they're actually the same. You only get girls who ask you out BECAUSE you think you're super weak You think you're super weak because you only get girls who ask you out Its circular logic. When you see this you'll see that there is no real problem, it's just an illusion, and tran…

Totally agree with this post. Actually after I started reading TRP I started to believe I was an ugly unfuckable guy - whereas actually it's just not true, I always had girlfriends, and they were always pretty hot. I just got burned by a oneitis once, and my brain naturally thought that it's cause I'm ugly and a nerd etc. These beliefs really damaged be and sabotaged me. Despite being in great shape, doing what I love, popular, naturally dominant and always attracting girls, it was like my core …

I have a theory that porn and masturbation massively contribute to this. I find that when I'm jacking off all the time I'm focusing on the thing that I don't have, and when it's finished I'm left feeling shit that I don't have it. When I stop for a week or so my neediness goes away, almost like I don't need to feed the addiction anymore, and I'm much more outcome independent around women.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
