300 per month isn’t enough for me to feed my kid AND buy the newest Prada handbag. Now my children have to go hungry because you refuse to pay enough!

That’s the right attitude to have. Can definitely agree with that. Seems profoundly unjust though since you’ll be paying the ex wife money that will go toward her legal bills to fight against you (usually 1/2 of income, adjusted periodically for future earnings) and you’ll be giving her your house (because she has to raise the kid somewhere).

You’re lucky the court sided with you. I know people who fought as hard as they could for their kids who ended up cut out of their children’s lives because the wife was able to spin and sell a sob story about emotional abuse (the kind for which there is conveniently no evidence).

If the kid is raised by someone else to think you’re a deadbeat and just don’t want to see him, but instead you’re wife just wanted you out of the picture so she could have bedroom fun with Chad and Tyrone (who end up raising your kid), then you’d effectively be paying Chad and Tyrone money every year to replace you as a father.

If you never got to really know a kid (only allowed to speak with him on 1-2 days a year) that your wife’s boyfriend got to raise for 18 years, you’d probably have a different opinion.

When your wife decides she wants to cheat on you and therefore divorces you, being the mother of your child, she will most likely be granted full custody. She can claim emotional abuse or whatever without having to prove much, and your access to your own children may be reduced to supervised visitation on holidays. Thus, you’ll never get to know your own children, but you’ll have to pay money to your ex, an amount exceeding what it takes to feed and clothe a kid, an amount most of which will be …

Ah, isn’t marriage penalized financially anyways in Switzerland? I know people who stay “partners” instead of getting married supposedly due to extra taxes they’d pay. Not sure if that’s just a canton Zurich thing or in place at the federal level.

Oh sure, definitely agree. Use contraception as much as you want and have fun! But if you conceive a human child (46 human chromosomes), whether boy (XY) or girl (XX), don’t kill him or her…

Yes. This is how human beings have lived for 10s of thousands of years. I think we’ll survive.

Once conceived, your human baby has 46 human chromosomes. The sex chromosomes are XX if your child is a girl or XY if he is a boy. He or she (your child) is a human boy or girl at the moment of conception. Not rocket science.

If you conceived a child, whether boy (XY) or girl (XX) and don’t want to be a parent, instead of stopping the child’s beating heart, killing him or her, you could literally just give the child up for adoption once born. Or have a premature delivery and let others adopt the preemie baby. There is no shortage of people who would adopt your child. Either way, there are options that don’t involve killing human beings just because you didn’t use contraception properly…

If you didn’t decide to engage in the one activity that produces children, how did he or she end up in your womb?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/22 03:49 AM

And why did he (XY) or she (XX) get inside your body…? Did you decide to create human life?

Buddy. Don’t know if you’ve figured it out yet, but everyone is a clump of cells... Your child had either human XX chromosomes or human XY chromosomes and was therefore either a boy or a girl…not an it.

Dude… you could also just not engage in the one activity that produces offspring unless you want to have offspring… Stopping another human being’s beating heart, especially if it is that of your child, just because you couldn’t be bothered to make good choices is barbaric. (And no, it’s not your body. You created another life. You don’t have 2 hearts. You’re a human, not a trout.) Sounds like you made a mistake and instead of living with it, you took it out on your defenseless child, who is now …

She cares about OP so little that she won’t give to him what she gave to random people all the time and for free. OP, she’s has sexual needs that she’s going to have met regardless, so she’s eventually going to continue getting d!cked down by other men if that’s not already happening. That, or she has an uncurable STD from all of those men she hooks up with and “doesn’t care about” and wants to wait until you’re married to break the news. Either way, no guy with any self respect would continue w…

Men age like Sean Connery and women age like Sean Connery. It looks better on men though. Men will be in their prime throughout their 30s (with handsome looks + accumulated wealth that women enjoy), whereas women (with exceptions) tend to hit the wall at age 30 (because men are visual creatures). It’s why many 30-40 year old men date women in their mid 20s; why go looking for an older model when you could find an amazing younger one instead.

I’m 6’1” and very well endowed. High sex drive. Even when I used to do cross country marathons, I didn’t want to engage with women sexually. Had 2 girlfriends put on the moves, but declined and instead broke up with them both times. It’s just this nagging sensation of “you get with them…now what? you probably have an std” and then later the thought that they’ll just introduce tons of drama into my life. After growing up in a henhouse, I just have absolutely no tolerance for drama and womanly bul…

She’ll just get it from someone else if you don’t have sex enough for her or to her standards. Even if you give her all that, there’s a non-zero probability she’ll cheat on you anyways to get more “experience”..

Sure, maybe part of it is because homosexual relationships are a bit rare. But really it’s just that RP content doesn’t really apply in that scenario. It’s not because the dudes are trying to perform intercourse with each other’s large intestines. It’s a more a factor of the ingrained psychological differences in men and women that are irrelevant to “gay” relationships.

That was frankly the most thoughtful answer I’ve ever seen on Reddit. You’ve given me some new perspective that I hadn’t had until reading this. I’m going to think on that for a while. Thank you.

Honestly, you’re making me wonder that too now, but I might not be the best person to answer that. Some of them are family, others are ppl I share class with in college mainly. Maybe people are different outside of the college bubble? I don’t know why I’m not meeting more of the kind of women you do. Any ideas?

Can’t agree with that. I’m the exact opposite of a drama queen, yet all women I’ve met seem to live off drama.

I used to think that I was just meeting women at the wrong locations and there would be better (less narcissistic/attention-seeking) women elsewhere, but RP content opened my eyes to the fact that nearly all are like that. I’m approaching the point where I don’t want to be around women at all. It’s like the song from the Lego Movie “Everything is Awesome”, except changed to “Everything is Drama”.

When the West lost lost its religion, it lost its religious communities, which used to be the communities you’d live in as a family, with a social support system favoring religious morals, family cohesiveness, etc. We’ve lost that, and the culture today is hyper-individualistic, favoring self-centered behavior. There’s a great book called Bowling Alone written about this phenomenon. In an orthodox religious community, you lose the individualism and gain the stability that comes with a community …
