This ^ My Ex filed first to "protect herself,". She thought she could file and put the divorce on hold. We filed a counter petition and she suddenly had NO control over the pacing of the divorce.

Well the good news is, according to the movie, a hour will soon fall on her. Just watch out for her evil sister.

I am in Texas also. If she hide from the process server, the notice to divorce is posted in a public forum (newspaper) and the divorce goes on. She can not force you to stay married to her, thanks to the 13th amendment.

You need to ask an attorney, but my personal experience is, the inheritance (since it was never comingled) is not community property. However, to your question, because she has the inheritance, she can not claim indigent to make you continue to pay all bills. This is assuming you are not living together.

I am sure you have heard the term," not my monkey, not my circus". You have to say it like this to piss her off. "Hey Monkey, you're not in my circus anymore". She is board or unhappy in her relationship and she is just trying to start shit with you to share the unhappiness.
