Cool but literally im asking about overlap between the two. Are you saying there is no overlap at all
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 11:47 PM

So then its mutually inclusive? A hot guy can't be unkind or ill-functioning?

I mean I guess if you want to interpret it that way. Wasn't my intention and I personally think it's being given bad faith but I get the sense you aren't looking for a discussion on it

Women aren't going to feel that for a man they aren't emotionally connected with. That might be true for you. That is NOT the case for every woman xD I literally had 3 female friends confirm it for me so dont take my word for it. It's never felt good to me to think someone wants me sexually. Thats fine. Totally fine. We might enjoy different feelings and want different things in life. The beauty of it all. We all experience sexuality differently. But if you understood my point and just dont agre…

True true. I do think a lot of the confusion comes from this distinction when women give men dating advice. They are giving men advice for step 2 but dudes are looking for step 1 xD

I'll make it easy I felt horny for sex. Not for a specific man. Your words. Now...picture a specific man was able to make you horny for sex with him. Like that the sex had to be with him for you to want it. But that it was just sex you wanted WITH HIM. Even if you aren't looking for a relationship with him. Not just about being horny, but being horny for a specific person. That you want sex with that specific person. Again, idk why this sub is so fixated on "desire" to a specific man. Because me…

So more an extension than an overlap of traits. That makes sense

Well then I suppose this is a feeling you've simply never experienced pr might be incapable of experiencing. But I'll tell you, the ability to crave and feel horny for sex with a specific person without necessarily wanting to be in a relationship with said person is a real thing

I like the idea of averages and generalizations for something like this only in that it seems more practical for giving advice on the matter

Totally valid too! I recognize that for some women, men, and those of nonbinary identity that sexual attraction simply can't exist without an emotional bond. So every person's Venn Diagram here would look a little different depending on compatible traits eh?

So then you understand the concept of desire I'm alluding to. The having sex with men you don't have an emotional connection to. Those(I assume some at least) being men you felt horny for even if you didn't necessarily see them as someone you'd want to be in a relationship with

So I'd guess that you're demisexual, and incapable of feeling attraction towards a man that you aren't emotionally connected to right?

Interesting. Never felt that myself. I zone out when I work out. But you've given me something new to think about. Thank you.

Fair enough. I'd hear women talk about how seedy and weird guys can be in the gym so I'd assumed. Made sense to me. My bad.

But zooming out I think the real issue is violent crime, not just rudeness and disrespect. I wonder if you ever felt in danger when you had your ass slapped etc, because for a woman it's instant fear and cortisol spike. It's not just the ass grab it's the fact of physical vulnerability of size and strength, and historical experience. I couldn't really call it fear. But there was that jolt. That feeling when a boundary has been crossed. Anger, frustration when it's laughed about, and frustration …

because women want to be able to work out without worrying about the male gaze and having to worry about what they looking like while exercising and for just general privacy That...is the premise. Some men get leery, stare, keep hitting on women, and generally make them uncomfortable. The bad acts of some men resulted in areas where other men are not allowed. It isn't just about safety. All I was asking is if such exclusionary spaces or societal consequences and such exist for women as a result …

I don't recall EVER saying men are sex craved beasts. Its a disgusting stereotype and a harmful one to men and to women.

Oh this was back when I did retail years ago. I work in car repair & maintenance now so there aren't a lot of women I work with especially not in the garage. Also I want to clarify that I don't specifically think women are sexually depraved as a rule but rather that, given the opportunity and social leeway, they have the potential to be just as depraved. That all it takes for some women to be the same kinda pig some men are is to feel comfortable that they won't receive backlash for it. Situatio…

ehhh, that's more a misogyny thing. Not really a bad act of women

Imagine for example your partner has a hard time opening up and being vulnerable because in the past when he's done so with partners(assuming you date men at all) they've lost attraction, mocked him, didn't take it seriously, or used his vulnerabilities against him. And so now he has his guard up and doesn't want to open up around you because of his past experiences opening up to women. Something sort of like that but on a societal level.

I don't disagree. But what I've found is that, when given the power to do so with none/feweer consequences be them physical, social, or otherwise, women are every bit as capable of sexual violence. As I've said I've worked female dominated job fields and hooo boy the culture is wild how men around are treated and spoken to. One of my friends used to do bachelorette party entertainment and the stories I could tell you. But again, the point of my question was simply to inquire if women do experien…

I'm asking a question. Not making a point. But since you asked I myself have been sexually assaulted by women multiple times in high school. I did not enjoy it, didn't ask for it, and no one gave a shit. This also happened in jobs that had more female staff and a different culture. Touching, groping, and SOOO many comments about me and other men. Even two married women who would follow guys around the store and call a code "Q-T". Idk how common it is but I'm not the only man I know personally th…

what? Nooo. I mean a space or restriction placed on women due to the acts of other women. Doesn't even have to be a hard rule. So for example female-only gyms exclude men as do female only trains exclude men Or how men are looked a with much more scrutiny in places children occupy such as schools and parks These spaces exist because some men do bad things. And that necessitates excluding them for the comfort or safety of others. I am asking if such spaces or restrictions exist in any way for wom…

Simple: consent. The nice guy thinks he's entitled to sex, sees it as a wrong, and at times gets violent or even angry when denied sex. Twitch girls ask simps for money and they voluntarily hand it over despite KNOWING this girl will at most thank them, say their name and move on. There is no crossing of consent. It's the same with thirsty girls spending hundreds to go to BTS concerts and such or PAYING MONEY to take pics hugging tiktok/insta male thrist traps whose only job is to smile and look…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
