7	How Is Male Violence An "Epidemic?" The issue is that male-perpetrated violence is over-respresented and female-perpetuated violence is under-represented. Men tend to under-report their victimization and women tend to over-report theirs. Combine this with feminism actively affirming its narrative, that men oppress women, with government support and funding, and it's no wonder that conventional wisdom of today believes there's an "epidemic" of male violence. 1	What 1,700 Studies on Domestic Violence Actually Found Except there's a bit of a problem with those statistics: if these crimes are going unreported, they can't actually be truly counted and therefore provide no valid data. Instead, they get that "data" through surveys and estimation with tenous methodology at best.
