Add the annoying noisy friends and the white knights friends jealous that you get to live with her, and this is as realistic as it gets.

“If someone handed your body over to a passerby, you would be annoyed. Aren’t you ashamed that you hand over your mind to anyone around, for it to be upset and confused if the person insults you?” - Epictetus

Most of those shaming tactics are at first tests to see if you react badly to it or not. They become shaming tactics once the other person see you can be annoyed at what they say. Standing up and telling them very frankly "why would I ever need a car ?", and openly accepting you don't want a car will dodge many shaming tactics. tl;dr: if you don't care, they don't care. If you care, they will keep pushing the steal-value button.

Just your typical straw man argument. Move along, nothing to see here.

Not only is this quote fake, but it was originally written by a girl, who then explained the quote "Popped right out of my own head and based on a past boyfriend." Ironic. Source: https://quoteinvestigator.com/2014/10/25/diagnose/

With all my respect, Einstein was able to put together many pieces of work very far from each other, from Minkowski, to Michaelson's experiment. He put every piece together and cited every single person in his articles. They are also beautifully written and very readable even today (which is in my experience not true at all about other famous scientists).

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
