Plenty of people on the internet assume the dateless are scumbags, when in reality the assumption should be that they have weak social skills. Actually, not only is this stereotype not true, the opposite is true. Scumbags are more likely to have dates and not be virgins. Many studies have been done on this. A young man's chance of having many sexual partners and not being a virgin increased if he answered "yes" on lovely survey questions such as "have you ever been in a gang" or "have you ever c…

Yeah I fking lol'd at OP's assertion that Japanese men are having an easy time. Y'know, the country that literally invented the term "herbivore men" (草食系) to describe romantically-struggling men before redpill popularised the term "Beta". Japan is 2 decades ahead of the curve.

Yes tech enabled scrawny weak ugly men to become wealthy by working in highly specialised tech jobs. Previously you would have been relegated to becoming a philosopher, cleric or village idiot. Previously, men who had to work menial jobs wouldn't be scrawny in the first place. They would still be ugly, and probably get into an arranged marriage where physical attraction had no say in the matter.

It's absolutely relevant. If you claim that you don't feel that sex before marriage is morally right, yet are not a virgin, it would raise questions on one's moral integrity. "I have a proven track record of engaging in behaviours that I myself consider to be deeply immoral" is not an attractive proposition to anyone.

Unless he is an idiot, he can put himself in her shoes and understand why she might not want to- not willing to accept risk of pregnancy, moral beliefs, etc. As I aleady said, it is perfectly reasomable for virgins to expect to be married before sex. Which was also the overall expectation in the olden days. However, if not, then it is a lot more difficult to explain.

Lots of people throughout history practiced no sex before marriage. It may be as common now, but it’s definitely been the norm in many societies throughout history. So...you, as a woman, are going back the medieval times to prove your point? Really? You do realise that "no sex before marriage" made sense in an era where women must be virgins at marriage? If you are a conservative who still does that, it's a fair expectation. But 95% of women aren't.

Funny thing is I can't figure out which one it refers to. Both seem true.

Yeah, really can’t relate. If you have a crush on someone, you are excited to take a relationship to the next level of exclusivity and being official. You would be able to relate more if you consider that men view sexual commitment the same way women view non-sexual commitment. Men can't fathom why a woman might not be excited to immediately have sex with a man if she actually loves him. Yet this gives many women the ick when asked for sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/24 03:04 PM

If someone isn’t ready for commitment then clearly they’re not ready for sex. There are a lot more consequences to sex than commitment. That is the most bizarre sentence I have read in months. If the word "commitment" means anything at all, there are more consequences to commitment than to a night of sex. I mean, the word is literally COMMITMENT, a real commitment would carry grave consequences, that is the very definition of the word.

“internet is not real life” is sadly becoming less and less true, as extreme internet ideologies are becoming the norm and gen-z and alpha are the most culturally dominant. It's not even just dating. The internet is super-dominant in all aspects of actual real life, and it's crazy how anyone could still be ignorant of this fact in 2024. For example, the stock value of Apple corp. alone is larger than the entire German stock exchange. The internet is real life. The internet dominates real life.

It's a pretty simple answer. Both men and women want someone they find attractive. The average young woman is attractive enough for the average young man. The average young man is not attractive enough for the average young woman. Men: "I am okay with 80% of women but you are only okay with 20% of men. You are so demanding!" Women: "I am okay with whoever I find attractive and so are you. We are the same."
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/24 05:06 AM

There's a pretty big difference between fiction and the real thing... What do you think would desensitise a person more, 10 years of violent video games or 2-3 years of murdering a real person every week? Think about it... It is very reasonable to say that 10 years of fiction desensitises less than 2 years of the real thing.

Studies show a strong positive correlation between narcissism and sexual partners. Those who feel entitled, tend to get more. Most incels are indeed of low self esteem and do not feel entitled to very much. It speaks volumes that the far right manosphere movement, the figureheads who argue most for male entitlement to women subservience are not incels, but very sexually successful men. Think Tate and Trump.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/24 01:35 PM

Yeah, and? That only shows men work harder to achieve lower physical standards for their partners. 99.9% of men never fuck a supermodel. The world still gets populated nonetheless Um, the world isn't exactly getting populated...in virtually all modern countries thar have embraced the sexual revolution, birth rates are tumbling.

I think the myth that men "age like wine" comes from the following: Attractiveness of an average: 20yo woman: 7/10 30yo woman: 5/10 40yo woman: 3/10 20yo man: 6/10 30yo man: 5/10 40yo man: 4/10 Now both the average man and woman have aged like milk, but for biological reasons, one milk just has a substantially longer expiry date. So a 30yo man is even more unlikely to get the 20yo girl than when he was 20, but it is easier to date a woman his age now. He hasn't aged like wine, women just "age fa…

As for “she did something with a past partner she won’t do with me so she must have been more into him,” I think it’s that same issue of not seeing women as full human beings with the capacity and right to have likes and dislikes and autonomy. And viewing sex as something owed rather than something that’s supposed mutually enjoyed. Now I stand with the rest of your comment but here's where I completely disagree. This has nothing to do with not respecting women's autonomy. The man recognises the …

This works both ways. Dead bedroom? Too bad. Wife cheats but you can’t prove it? Too bad. Think about what you are proposing. FYI the former is a "fault" under traditional divorce laws, so abolishing no-fault divorce would not prevent men from leaving. At worst, the guy would start mistreating his wife until the wife eventually files an at-fault divorce on him, the terms of which are hardly worse than current no-fault divorce to a guy.

The great equalizer doesn't give women remotely the same combat power as men though. You can't name one war where large divisions of women in combat roles are pivotal in the war. Like, if Ukraine were desperate and gunpowder weapons are the great equaliser, why aren't they conscripting women? Why doesn't Russia do it?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/24 11:25 AM

We are all entitled to basic respect and the truth. If a man has no honor, he's not entitled to life. They used to duel with pistols over this shit. Um...what? You do realise that there is a near 100% overlap between "times when men who lie for sex are liable to be shot" and "times when women were not allowed to engage in premarital sex and would get destroyed for doing so." It's called an honour culture, it existed prior to the sexual revolution, places like Pakistan still have it. I don't thin…

So men’s main desire is simply carnal pleasure but women are morally “superior” and desire a meaningful relationship/connection. Yeah, this is just an anti-man lie that seems to degrade men and elevate women to a moral high ground. You yourself have internalised progressive culture in a way you don't realise. If 150 years ago in premodern society you told a person that "men just want sex", they would immediately respond "what in the world do you mean just?" See, sex as an extremely special act a…

Yeah FYI british average salary for 30yos is about 30k, so 40k is above average.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/24 04:36 PM

24 isn't that young exactly. Once you start working and getting paychecks you rapidly mature. A 24yo is old enough to have voted in not one but two elections. That ain't no immature kid. All my female friends behaved very differently at 24yo than at 22.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/24 08:39 AM

Young-looking women are usually young. Okay this sentence actually made me laugh out loud, goodness It does make you think though. Are men not allowed to have preferences? I would say, age is far less discriminatory a preference than most other criteria. Things like ethnicity, height or facial features are genetic - if you're not born with it, that's just it. But everyone gets to be young. I think a preference to start a relationship young is actually remarkably fair. Not the Leonardi-Dicaprio t…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/24 08:36 AM

That's very hypocritical in my opinion. People like you consider it disrespectful and condescending for men/society to call out a young women's dating choices and preferences as "bad choices", be it a desire for other women (LGBTQ), a desire for hookups, abortion, hormones, a desire for anything she chooses... ...except if the guy is older. Somehow, this is the one and only circumstance it is somehow appropriate to challenge an adult woman's voluntary preferences and choices. This is the one cir…

A biological father needs to provide for his biological child. If you're not the father, good for you, but a child still exists and someone has to pay. I don't think you get the point - the point people are trying to make here is this: If the child is not his, making him pay under threat of prison is not any less of a human rights atrocity than grabbing any random man (or woman!) from the street and making them pay under threat of prison. After all, we've already established that child support i…

It's an issue with societal discourse around gender though, since men (with various physical and historical advantages) are told they have to make the playing field egalitarian and fair for women. Dating is not some fair or rational meritocracy Basically, the question is, is there a contradiction between dating not being "fair", yet other things are expected to be fair? "You can discriminate against me in the dating game even though I did nothing wrong, but I cannot discriminate against you in t…

Easily mitigated by not dating out of her league. Even as a guy, I must say this is not necessarily true. You know how we men like to say that men sometimes bloom late? I've known one such man. Pretty mid looks, got a woman. Pretty balanced couple. Then he bloomed. Became very rich in his career at a big bank and the charisma which comes attached with that kind of status. Dumped the wife and got a new one 20 years younger from rural China (this is a Chinese dude btw) His wife dated within her le…

I don't see it as a win for women in general, rather, society in general is getting into trouble. Marriage rates for millennials and are collapsed. Not just in the US either - look at the UK. Many women are already complaining about men just not wanting to commit. The average woman is feeling the pressure too. Many women perceived "winning" to mean men would be marrying them on much better terms, doing much more housework etc in exchange for much less from the female side. Instead men are increa…

Male bullying in lots of cases is constructive in the sense that it can encourage the weird kid(s) to change so they fare better in the group dynamic. Even if being a bully wasn't popular with the girls, it would persist because of the pro-social outcome of helping the sheltered weird kid fit in and be normal. That's insane cope. Bullying often involves school flunkies and juvie criminals targeting nerds trying to get educated and contribute to society. It's never the nerds bullying the gangster…

But the woman was young and dum regardless of the man's age... And why must a 36yo man not be dum? Plenty of late bloomers have very little experience and are even dumber in relationships than 24yos who have several experiences already.

The issue is not people on the internet , the issue is when this 24 year old breaks up with said 36 year old and is in her 30s she will realise how actually young she was and how the guy could have taken advantage of that. This is a terrible argument - why does the man's age matter? Regardless of the man's age, if she breaks up in her 30s, she is going to realise the same thing - damn I lost my 20s, maybe I got taken advantage of. Do you really think 24yo guys cannot take advantage of this same …

and then suddenly a 18 on her birthday becomes a ‘consenting adult’. A few seconds ticking over doesn’t magically imbue a person with intelligence or maturity. This is a classic fallacy. The "few seconds" fallacy. The argument: There is no legitimate difference between an 18yo and a 17y and 364 day old. It's literally 24 hours, do you think the kid really matured into an adult? Thus, an 18yo is same as a 17y364 day old. By that same logic, a 18y 1d old isn't really more mature than a 18y 0d old …

Offering a person money certainly doesn't constitute "coerced prostitution" by any sense of the word...this is not the meaning of "coercion". If I robbed $500 from you and then told you I would give it back if you had sex with you, I am raping you. If I just give you $500 out of nowhere, that's just basically prostitution.

And this is exactly what is crushing the marriage rates too. "Late bloomers" increasingly never get the chance to bloom at all, so an increasingly large portion of below-average men are staying virgins. Meanwhile, the early bloomers steamroll so hard that they see no point to lock themselves down with marriage.

There is. You second sentence is no excuse. Acting solely on attraction does not equate to being morally okay. "Acting solely on attraction does not equate to being morally okay" is precisely how society has functioned for the past 5,000 years. No getting that that hot girl or handsome dude - your parents and society says to be with that dull male breadwinner because that is the "right thing to do" and that was it. We didn't like that, so we did the whole "sexual revolution", "love is love" thin…

A woman should feel free to start cheating once she “loses value” because she has nothing else to lose. Her entire life’s purpose - providing value in the form of youth and beauty - is gone. Instead of sitting at home with someone who finds her disgusting and developing a crippling low self esteem, why should she not go “fuck it” and find people who want her? Because, contrary to what you are thinking, most men are not Leonardo Dicaprio and are actually fairly loyal to a woman who has dedicated …

Women’s empowerment is just correlated not a casuality Developed countries will usually have more education, progressive views etc, with this they are able to acknowledge that having kids with no money is a terrible idea. most religions don’t really address about family planning. You're contradicting yourself right there... What do you think "education" and "progressive views" and "addressing family planning" are?

This really isn't the case though, even if we don't want to take anything away it is very clear that it is women's empowerment, not "can afford to", that leads to less kids. Societies where people can't afford to give kids even the most basic proper food, water and shelter (e.g. Afghanistan) have 5 kids per woman.

Are you a part of those cultures? Is our world the same as it was in the past? My point of bringing up so many worldwide cultures across time is precisely that this is not a cultural construct. If somehow virtually every population of men worldwide has the same preference, regardless of whether they are White, Asian, Black, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, anything - then it would seem that something deeply biological is at play here, not a social construct particular to a specific culture or time p…

I also think child support should start at conception, it’s for the well being of the child that they get proper medical care. Put both of the parents name on the insurance whether they’re together or not. That's quite irrelevant and unnecessary because if you're married, your assets are legally shared anyway so father and mother are spending the same pool of money really. And if you do break up, childbirth is always a heavy factor in a divorce court. A woman will be compensated either way.

by not spreading their legs for men that don't fulfill their stated preferences. what's wrong with casual sex? I don't think you get his point. His point is that men generally value sex as the ultimate display of female affection (you have to accept this is true for most men even if it's hard to understand as a woman). This means that, men will be incentivised to behave according to what kind of men women have sex with, not what kind of men women say they want. If Kevin is nice and providing and…

Lying about your height, your sexual history, how much you make, or something like that, is trivial IMO Hold up, I don't think sexual history is trivial. It's pretty important to a lot of people, and has continuously been highly important across a variety of cultures from Europe to Asia since the beginning of recorded human history.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/23 12:40 PM

If sex was really what men wanted, then as much as people talk about how hard that is to get, it really isn't. They're talking about meaningful sex. As a guy, getting sex is easy enough. Just swipe yes on everything, go to a bar and flirt with the neighborhood slut. One of those will work eventually. Men want good sex on top of the emotional connection, and unattractive men are not going to get anyone other than a woman who is also as unattractive as he is, no matter how much he swipes. If "men …

Its a lie though if youre only saying “i can see a future with you” when you know your real goal is to have sex and then leave, thats objectively messed up thing to do. And it doesnt give the woman all of the facts to make an informed decision. This is basic stuff guys Looking at both of your arguments, I would say this is an asshole thing to do, but I wouldn't consider it a violation of consent/rape/whatever.
