I think worrying about what to talk about is looking at this wrong. When you do this you are entirely worried about a bad outcome. You have assigned her all the power and arent even thinking about what your standard for her is. This is a bad place to start from. So instead you should be focusing on looking for a girl you naturally enjoy, and who naturally enjoys you, and with who you dont struggle with what to talk about on a date.

Eh. sex is only special when you havent had a lot. For most women sex is little more than a lunch menu item. Men pedastalizing sex is what causes a lot of them problems.

Great post man. I like how you describe oneitis as an addiction, framing it that way helps to present it as the unhealthy mindset that it is and helps us understand why we should avoid engaging with it and not take the thoughts it produces seriously.

Bro, a couple things: 1) This was your first try asking someone out, you are definitely going to suck at it at first just like EVERYTHING else. Keep trying and eventually you will get it down. 2) You are way over-invested in this one particular girl. You cant hide this fact and it reeks and it repels girls quickly for all the right reasons. In a pretty girls world she is going to have a lot of options and is looking for a guy who, among other things, also demonstrates he has lot of options. Keep…

Practice, my fool. You cant get get good at something without being willing to be bad at it. Furthermore, all you can ever do is the best with what you have, so try to do that. Think of all the incompetent idiots that achieve greatness in life due to their unreasonable confidence. They took what they had (very little) and didn't hold back. They get criticized to all hell for it but thats part of it, they have a willingness to face the criticism and not let it hold them back. You cant escape the …

Im not sure, I feel a bit like an old man yelling at the clouds at this point. It's just not a good look to still be involved in this sort of thing at his age, maybe if it makes you money I can understand.

I disagree fundamentally with teaching young men to be skeezy clubbing pick up clowns for the sake of making money. I can only imagine his students at the club: "Er first I push, then im gonna pull, then neg! wait was that the right order? ah shit..." That's no way to live, why let women turn you into that? Live life as a man with integrity, have a spine. You will think more highly of yourself and women will respond to that.

I dont disagree, what youre saying is kind of my point. When youre 20, improving yourself is seen as a goal only in so far as it gets you women. As I have gotten older, becoming better has become the goal in and of itself. My point is something like the Mystery type people focuses on teaching tricks centered around getting women, but I think our focus should be on solid fundamentals that genuinely improve our lives, not tricks. And conveniently enough, when you have established a solid foundatio…

When youre in your 20s, success with women is all important because thats how biology designed us. By 30s, however, I'd say most guys (but definitely not all) have moved on. Its a bit like how one day you were 11 or 12 and playing with toys and you realized they just werent that interesting anymore. Similarly, as you get older, more meaningful ambitions become important and take the space in your mind that was once filled with chasing women 24/7. So to see this 'Mystery' guy still hung up on thi…

She straight up told you she thinks she's too good for you and your response is "wahhh but I want to be a thing!". How attractive of you. The correct reply is "sure I understand" and then stop centering your life around her and go see other people like a well adjusted self respecting male. Christ's sake man.

You're wrong. The idea is appropriate balance must be achieved. Too much masculinity results in too much order, life is suffocated out and this is a deadening existence. On the other hand too much feminine results in too much chaos. Balance must be achieved, the masculine must order the feminine but not to the extent that all life and fun is snuffed out.

Bro. You have no experience with girls and you indicated you don't even want to try because x, y, z, etc. Guess What? The only way you get good at something is by starting off sucking at it. That's how everything you aren't good at works. You're completely afraid of failure but it's a dragon you have to confront. Once you do, you won't fear it so much and you'll even start to get better at it. You have to put yourself out there, develop your personality, forgive yourself for whatever shortcoming…

I think our biological mandate is pretty clear. Growing up and being a proper man involves finding a proper woman and raising a family. It is a fundamental part of the human experience, just something innately inside us that we are called to do. This is true enough that it's almost universally the way men have determined to live their lives across cultures across time. But by all means, move to a mountain top and be bitter about stupid wyminz that you dont need well into your 50s if that's your …

Grow up. You try to find a woman who can help you develop as a person and you can work towards goals together with and build a family and a future. You remain prowling the bars for a new woman every week if you're a child who is unable to move on and sees sex as the pinnacle of existence. Please tell me I'm wrong.

Consider that you're betraying your most basic instinct. Your biology has given you a sexual energy that you might go out and succeed and in turn mate with a female. Rather than obliging this instinct, you've jerked off into your hand. Good job asshole. And if you jerk it to porn, that's even worse. You're communicating to yourself that you are only good enough to watch an alpha mate with the females while you hide in the bushes and watch. Terrible.

You come across as very needy, like you are so amazed by this girl and she's the only one for you and if only she would please please be with you. This my friend, is the most unattractive thing there is to women. You're too easy for her. You're a pushover. Where's the fun in that? Women want strong dominant man, NOT weak needy pushover. Basically if there is to be a relationship, it has to be her requesting it. Right now you should be down for hanging out/having sex but otherwise keep your optio…

Was watching American gods and a character said something to the effect of "we cannot choose the path our senses show us but it is a path we must follow, all the way to the end". So accept the path you are shown and follow it in confidence, that is all anyone can do.

It is not the nature of men to sit back and let women attract them. Go watch any nature show if you are unfamiliar with the nature of males. It is the male imperative to attract a mate, this is our highest purpose, our nature, and there's nothing wrong with that. Go ahead and be angry about that if you like, be angry that it's unfair women don't have to really do anything to attract a mate while for men it is tremendously competitive. But when you're done being angry, feel free to get to work.

Here's the thing, an attractive man knows what he likes and finds a way to do the things he likes, he doesn't ask strangers on the Internet what he should like. When you figure out what you like and start working towards making your life about what you like, the girls part should be easy.

You have a negative outlook and want to be comforted that your complaint is justified. That is some serious female shit. You make your own destiny.

I'll try to contribute some clarity here - women biologically are selective for a man that can take care of them. In tribal days securing a quality man was a great advantage for survival of the woman and her children. Men on the other hand can survive in the wild without a woman. From a man's standpoint, better to impregnate 10 women, not stick around to raise any of them, and even if only half survive he's done well. This is why men are not selectiv/"fuck down". The strategy is quantity. For wo…

This guy got 100+ women, obviously women avoid him less than they avoid the rest of guys. As a woman sex is plentiful for you, its always on tap, and 100+ partners is in fact nothing to boast about if you are a woman, the sex comes to you. As a guy, unless you work at it, you will be having absolutely 0 sex. So yes, as a guy it is something to boast about. Make sense?

What this guy said. They want plausible deniablity that they were in any way responsible for anything leading to sex. Sex always has to just kind of have happened in their minds.

You think women don't want to be hit on by a hot guy at the gym? Newsflash women like hot guys. Crazy I know. It's like women are people too almost. Notice how OP made sure to say you have to just happen to be leaving the gym at the same time when you talk to her. Women want plausible deniablity and they want you to understand this. That's what will make you hot. Women don't want any responsibility for the interaction, everything has to be framed as "just happening" for them. I think that's the …

I'll tell you what people didn't tell me at your age in the hopes it gets you a head start in life. From your post its obvious you lack self respect or guidance. Great. So what can you do about it? 1) Stop jerking off. It's a drug. You get a high temporarily and all the rest of the time you aren't getting high you feel like shit. Just like any other drug. People are probable going to scream what I just said isn't true but it's different for everyone and all I can tell you is it was certainly tru…

“For me the real evil of masturbation would be that it takes an appetite which, in lawful use, leads the individual out of himself to complete (and correct) his own personality in that of another (and finally in children and even grandchildren) and turns it back; sends the man back into the prison of himself, there to keep a harem of imaginary brides. "And this harem, once admitted, works against his ever getting out and really uniting with a real woman. "For the harem is always accessible, alwa…

I believe everything you said and I think most will agree with you that sex with a perfect 10 isn't what life should be about, but I think what most men want is to reach the point of clarity you are at, to finally get that thing they've always wanted and in doing so finally be able to move on, to say I did it and I'm over it and I am moving on to bigger and better things. Without ever having fucked your oneitis that nagging voice that likes to say "you aren't good enough" is just a little louder…

Treating her like she is some great goddess is a huge turn-off for her. In your mind you've placed her way above you and when you do that she can't help but look down on you. She wants a strong high value man, not a weakling that turns to mush at the sight of her. A way you can address this is to get used to talking to these girls that give you butterflies so that you internalize that they are just another girl, nothing special (this is referred to around these parts as abundance mentality). Sta…

This is an important phenomenon you have noticed and there is a relatively simple reason for it. Think of looking for partners as a market place, because, well, it is. Those with a lower market price than you, you probably aren't interested in. By not being interested in them you are communicating to them you are higher value. Women are attracted to high value men. The women you are attracted to you are placing a high value on and they can sense it and this causes them to lose attraction. For wo…

To get a bit deeper at the underlying concept here, essentially women are only attracted to men that are more relaxed than themselves. This is getting at the concept of frame that is discussed in great detail on this sub. While a woman's frame typically breaks easily (think screaming at a mouse) a man must remain calm (stay in his frame). I mean how attractive is a man that squeals upon seeing a mouse? So yes remaining calm/in frame is very important to attracting a woman.

Obviously there are exceptions but for the most part women want the alpha male, the leader, the guy high up on the social ladder, the best provider, it is how nature designed them. When you find a girl "special" what you are communicating to her is she is somehow above you in the social order, and that is not what they are designed to be attracted to. You are also communicating you are needy and need something from her you can't get elsewhere. You have adopted a mindset of scarcity rather than a…

Have you considered that consciousness makes perfect sense and isn't all that complicated but we humans are limited by our biological senses? The same way a blind person will never understand the profoundness of the cistine chapel painting or a deaf person will never understand the beauty of a symphony, you aren't going to understand why there is conscious thought. It's also important to note that throughout human history mankind has attempted to explain that which he cannot understand by pointi…

She wants you to be awesome independent of her. She doesn't want you doing things just because she asks. She is disrespecting you by getting bored halfway through the things you planned for her or worse not wanting to go at all. Then you reward the disrespect by trying harder when you should be showing her (and more importantly yourself) you are a man with self respect that wont put up with that. Here's the hard truth my man, you need to be willing to walk away from her disrespect. If you are no…

I think the problem answers itself. The problem being discussed is women want someone to listen to and affirm their feelings about a problem while men just want to solve the problem. So men look at this problem and figured it out: "oh women just want to be listened to!" But no such willingness to look at and solve the problem (ie. "Oh men just want to solve the problem!") comes from the women's side because the nature of the problem itself is that women are not interested in understanding and so…

Let's be fair, all the people closest and adjacent to her were men. The women who were closest looked concerned but probably figured (rightly) that any more people "helping" would just amount to extra people in the way. We're not feminists here its ok to be reasonable in our assessments of women.

There's something to be said for being comfortable with vulnerability but in this situation it is the girls job to pursue a relationship and your job to keep your options open. You took her job from her and she's not going to find that attractive. If there is one thing girls despise in guys it is emotional neediness, so be careful and remember you are the catch, she should be pursuing you.

If youre suggesting its too simplistic of a mindset, I really dont think it is. I am pointing out the nature of men and women. Biologically, women are much more invested in their children because they are much more limited in the number they can have than men are. This causes them to be selective with whom they breed, ie the top 10% of men because they want the best genes. No they are not consciously aware of this and it doesnt make much sense in todays context but thats how women evolved. Men o…

To shed some light on your question, I would say about 90% of the women are sleeping with about 10% of the guys. Women all want to sleep with the alpha male and would rather share him with 10 other females than suffer the indignity of sleeping with a beta man. That top 10% of guys on the other hand really don't give a shit who they sleep with and are happy to sleep with 90% of women. So what you have is a situation where 90% of women are getting laid while only 10% of guys are, thus creating the…

yeah I havent read it all but what you say sounds reasonable. Another thing I have a problem with is this idea that human evolution is headed towards "enlightenment" or this separation from compulsive thinking. It seems Apes, our predecessors, are self aware without a "voice in their head" or words. Dogs to some extent too, and I think anyone would agree that they are much happier than people, but this does not lend itself to evolutionary advantage and it seems this state of mind predates modern…

I started reading a New Earth and there are some definite problems with it. Tolle seems hell bent on this concept that to silence the voice in your head is akin to evolving and being in a completely superior state. He thinks that people that think too much are afflicted with some sort of disease. Tolle hasn't considered that maybe some people enjoy thinking and some people don't think negative things all the time. Furthermore, while there's a certain sweetness to silencing your mind, after about…
