4	Teaching Boys Consent Is Hypocritical Until We End Infant Circumcision I come from a country where circumcision is uncommon; But I've never heard of it being a "mother's decision" for those who do get it. If anything, it's a family tradition/belief usually enforced by both parents, or the father who is seen as the religious "head" of a family unit.
