Just easier to have privacy. I don’t even necessarily blame them. It’s a hard reality I had to face too. Girls just aren’t going to be enthused visiting you at your parents house

Sadly yes it’s a turn off. They are going to always want you to have your own places

Technically I am the product of a man that married a single mom. My big sister is my “half sister” My father has always told me he is thankful for me of course but he wouldn’t recommend it, especially if you have something going for yourself. The job is often thankless and can be quite depressing

Married, immediately to honeymoon, then COVID and government office shut downs. She had the perfect excuse...until lately

The opinions vary so wildly. I read this and then other guys tell me I’m weak and to kill myself. Strange....

“Shopping opinions” - that’s the point Isn’t that kind of a staple of Reddit? Plus I literally said above I wanted multiple opinions

It’s attached to my hip.....so I can make some money on the side Thanks for your input

What's wrong with getting an opinion from guys on the other side of the aisle? At the very least it's interesting

I know what trp is and beta and all that but what I don't understand is guys attacking me. It's clear from the messaging they're not even talking "to me"; they're mad at something else entirely.....which is weird. As for not demanding anything maybe you're right. I have requirements but clearly they should be much steeper.

Bruh it's a reddit sub......a reddit sub. Ban me -_-. However will I sleep at night?

I was raised in the dawn of the internet. You're gonna have to try a little harder than that to be rude and hurt my feelings weirdo. Plus I'm pretty sure you just violated rule #6 of this sub "smart guy"

lmfao I'm going to interpret this as tough love I guess

Hell, probably. But the south tends to be more forgiving with assets acquired way before marriage.

Lol I'm starting to think you guys find some sick enjoyment out of this. Thanks for the input

I believe in God but I'm not super religious. I don't mind marriage and think it can be great when done right. In this new age we're in that seems less and less likely though....

None. Just me, her and a dog

You're right man. Guess I was trying to be "honorable" or whatever.

For more context, she answers to my last name in public and people address her as such. LEGALLY her name is still her maiden name though. Doesn't make much difference I know....

Honestly I don't know what's going to happen,. We've fought before obviously but something about this fight in particular just doesnt sit well with me. I've had a couple red flags for a while now BUT majority of the time is not like that. We actually get a long....until we don't and the truth comes out

When I say older I meant a year. I’m 29 and she is 30 lol

I told her she’s welcome to leave and try to attain all that we have on her own like I did. She’s been quiet in the bedroom watching Netflix for the past 2 days

I feel like that only applies if you bought the house POST marriage no matter who’s name is on paperwork. I owned this house when we were still dating. Not even engaged yet

I read it’s circumstantial. Here in Alabama, assets acquired before marriage are not up for grabs unless they’ve been held for a long time

Right when we got married we went on our honeymoon. Shortly after that COVID started and all the offices that handle legal name changes were closed or backed up. That was a year ago though. Guess she thought I’d forget

Just really depressing sometimes man. I’d love to provide for a cooperative appreciative woman. I’m sure many men would

Man I really don’t want it to come to that. We’ll have long periods where everything is fine but then stuff like this happens and I feel like she’s just pretending and buying time.

She’s very intelligent and pretty. Thought with both our smarts/skills we’d be an awesome team

What’s funny is even if I did, the name would be incorrect because it would be her maiden name. She needs to change her name FIRST. Ridiculous either way

There's another post in this sub with a guy detailing being radicalized into Neo-Nazi beliefs and it started with red pill. I notice it all the time in the comments of random youtube videos.

Just stay away from her man. Contrary to what many think, women can use men for sex as well. I had a situation like this in college dealing with a female I would have married in an instant if I had the money at the time. She'd only invite me over to fuck and maybe hang for an hour or 2 before I had to leave. She stopped talking to me for a succesful guy already in his career as well. Fast forward years later and I am married and make more money than both of them combined. Just focus on yourself …

What was the catalyst that led you to RP in the first place? For all of us; it seems like it was a woman more or less betraying our trust and hurting us. It was time and different interactions that taught me that that is a product of humans in general and not just women. Some people are just selfish and that's life. The key is to accept this and just be smart about it. I am 29 with a wife and Id say im pretty happy currently. I just had to realize RP wasn't really serving me anything positive; o…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
