I know about New Rose Glow, she shared her experience with the program on her Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcfny6xkkvBahX9ZD03lNHQ I don't know about anyone else who has done the program though. I'd also be interested in more opinions.

Women that stay in toxic relationship have secondary benefits from it. They might even get be physically abused but they know or subconsciously know what they getting from it."He accepts me, i might be alone for the rest of my life if i leave him, I don't want to move out and live alone, then i have to work harder and make decisions" I get where you're coming from, but leaving an abusive relationship isn't so easy for a variety of reasons. I think that women choose to stay, even when they are ph…

I completely agree with you, I also do everything at home and still get the same reactions you do about looking "done up". For me it's also about time and independence - I can do everything on my own and am not dependent on someone else's schedule, I don't need to look for hairdressers, beauticians, ... in every new city I move to etc etc etc. And when something doesn't look good, I can't blame anyone but myself. Can you recommend some good resources for learning how to cut your own hair? I lear…

Genius logic. "I paid for this, but I shouldn't be punished, the women should be punished. I mean, everything I've seen there is totally something I would do if I was a woman - no way they've been blackmailed!" Totally ignoring the fact that without people like him Nth room probably would have never existed.

I found this BBC article: https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20190930-the-sexist-myths-about-gender-stereotypes-that-wont-die which links to this study: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/560058 Women who were led to believe that they were premenstrual reported experiencing a significantly higher degree of several physical symptoms, such as water retention, than did women who were led to believe they were intermenstrual. Thus, because of these psychosocial influences on symptom reports, it seem…

A study showed that where period stereotypes didn't exist (amazonian tribes for examples), women did not report having them. That's interesting. Do you have more information on or even a link to this study?

This is terrible.

It's about a sexist man who one day awakes in a world where gender roles are reversed and women run the world and exploit men. Quite interesting to watch.

This. Apart from the quarantine, dinner at home for the first date usually means that he plans to have you as a dessert. OP, wait until the corona crisis is over, then date properly.

Very true. If you know that he has nothing to offer you, why are you entertaining him?

I usually say that I'd love to meet, but it's a little too soon for me; tell me a bit more about yourself. Recently, when it was VERY early, I said: "No offence, but I get contacted here a lot and if I'd meet up with everybody after two short messages I'd be doing nothing else ;)" They usually understand.

That was an interesting read! I would be interested in seeing this discussed in more detail (in its own post maybe?), if you happen to have the time.

what I really am is certainly sensitive but not in the way they mean. I have a gift for sniffing out BS. I completely agree. I'm very sensitive to disrespect, which is precisely why I do NOT give the benefit of the doubt often. Over the years I have learned not to be too affected by it - as a child I used to cry a lot when others were mean to me, but now as an adult I understand better why they do it, which helps me not to be hurt too much; but I still sense what's up and I act accordingly. I al…

Thank you for this comment. FWB, that is a friend with benefits, but a lot of people forget the "friend" part and it's only about the "benefits". Having sex with someone without being in a committed relationship is really not a reason not to care about the other person, and I agree with the OP that such arrangements are not beneficial for the woman for a variety of reasons, but I see nothing wrong with a lover of the kind that you describe.

I feel like sometimes it can also be a power play. To be honest I've only had this issue once where the guy acted like he didn't get that I was into him, which made me come at him harder (anything more obvious and it would have been harassment ...) because I thought that maybe he was shy or I was too subtle or something. When he didn't respond to that, I assumed he wasn't interested and stopped making an effort; shortly thereafter he hit me with a (classy) compliment about my body. I think this …
