I'm not the one who's gonna get picked. It will be you who will, namely be picked on. And of course you will blame everyone but yourself. Anyways, I like my videogames as hard as your heart.

The term you're looking for is "Infantilization". Women are understood by males the same way children are: children lack knowledge and experience so they cannot be trusted to fend off for themselves in terms of agency and all the responsibility that comes with it, so they are better served being closely monitored and made to follow a disciplined extrinsical routine and spend their days in predictable spaces; and also since they lacl knowledge and experience, they lack the basic elements of a con…

The problem is not the males who want that. The problem is the women who give that. I mean, let's not pretend that girls are unironically dismissing the social significancy of their actions and simply allowing themselves to be rizzed up by promiscuous males while the rest of us are defending them from other promiscuous males who want part in the giveaway. We can blame males all we want, but, unless every casual sex is legit textbook rape, women are willingly contributing to the very existance of…

Being undiscriminating is no flex. There is a lot of vetting to enter Heaven, and no vetting to enter Hell. For their own good, people deserve to be held to some standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/25 10:57 AM
2

Yeah, but such male strategy is counterproductive. Boink a short woman, get a short son. A bit of vetting could help the people brought to this world. If anything, women have probably prevented the Human race from breeding itself into humanoid Pugs.

Well, see it this way: If we assume that successful male sexual expression is in some way or another an indicator (or reward) of some virtue he may have that makes him a sexually attractive option for women, then it can be argued that a unvirtuous male getting to sexually express is a sign of that something might be wrong somewhere. It's like you seeing a person you know to have no work ethics, no business acumen and no rich relative suddenly showing up owning sports cars and mansions. It's reas…

How about a non-cop out response (as well as non-backhanded ad hominem) and engage his point? I mean, you are making such a concerted effort to pass yourself as stubborn, dismissive and self-righteous, it's almost like you actually want males to feel negatively about the female gender by proxy so you can prove your point in some strange, lopsided way. If you're scared of what submissive sex dolls might mean, a good solution to that is to simply prove wrong the male notion of that sexbots are bet…

Just a heads-up: they would still hate women if they didn't have means to demean women. Hating sex dolls for how sexist their existance is is just a "shooting the messenger" attitude.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/25 09:21 AM

Different takes are coming from different women, OP. Women are not a monolithic hivemind. Anyways, the women who are worried about negative repercussions coming from sex bots are being irrationally fearful of strictly hypothetical scenarios. Not any different from the "videogames cause violence" astroturfed moral panic. If we go by any real world porn-related phenomenon, sex bots are most absolutely good news, because porn consistently reduces sex offense rates. Any means of getting sexual urges…

You gave me idea for the premise for a Doujin comic: Japan implements a military service secondary to the JSDF to which every female citizen must enlist at 18 years old and serve as "soldier wives" who are drilled by sergeants to do housechores and stay fit and sexy. If I was anything like young me back in 2012 or so, I would 100% draw it and unironically make it more about the story and setting than the nevertheless copious NC sex scenes.

That last sentence is worth it's letter count in gold. If males ever get State Mandated GFs, they will find out real shortly that nobody is enthusiastic about doing a job they were conscripted by the State into.

You are making the same mistake many Christians do when attempting to evangelize: appeal to fear of an hypothetical scenario. It's useless to tell someone who doesn't believe in Afterlife that they will have a bad Afterlife. Even if you try to appeal to the probability of the unbeliever being wrong, then you are compounding the mistake with another mistake: Pascal's Wager. Pascal's Wager ("Believe in God just in case He exists, as you'll lose nothing by believing should He not exist") is mathema…

Yes. The funny thing about people blaming societal pressures on their desires is that it's the same problem of Temptations in Christianity: people treat mild and inconsequential disapproval, as well as fleeting frustration, as some kind of insurmountable obstacle that completely forces their hands into compliance. This is simply not how life, nor anything at all, works. The same way the worst that the Serpent could do if Eve refused to eat the Forbidden Fruit was just call her names, the worst A…

Singleness is indeed a solution, but not in the way that OP states. Unsuccessful males won't be missed from the dating market. An unemployed workforce is improductive, after all. Nobody will feel hard pressed to increase male attendance numbers. Much to the contrary, many will sigh in relief because dating apps aren't absolute sausage parties anymore. But male dating woes might still get solved by virtue of singleness not even being a problem anymore. Males might finally realize that Amatonormat…

OP, please. A good parent will love even a bastard. A bad parent will hate even a legitimate. Feel free to disagree, but the petty squabbles of the parents matter absolutely nothing compared to the rights of the child. They either get over themselves, or just part from the kid by the availble method of choice.

Both cons and libs have rationalization venues for elliciting infidelity. Cons like to hide behind the fact that their standards are well-defined and thus more reliable and time-honed, which makes it easy to rationalize cheating because they can just say that their sins are justified by nuances that their own standards miss to cover in their generalities. Also it's easier to project an image of morality by preaching it. Libs can afford to employ relativism and try to evoke empathy and forgivenes…

Reminds me of something dad would say whenever I refused food for no reason like children usually do: "Hungry people eat stones". It is, I had no right to complain I'm hungry if I would reject food. If I was really hungry, I would seriously consider even subpar and counterproductive alternatives, such as, namely, stones. With time, I realized this is an universal principle, as it applies to everything we choose to do or don't. And for good reason, as it is in the Holy Bible: Proverbs 22:13. In o…

That's not how Strikes work. The dating market will have a huge flashing option when males check out: live free from the woes and complexities of trying to attract and keep males, and dissolve itself for a better alternative that will be built without the say of uncooperative elements. Strikes only work when it's done by the people who are doing the real work. Society can easily survive and thrive without any other group. Yes, and I'm all in for it as I'm a Christian, but here's a caveat: Not all marriages afford people to "explore". It can happen for many reasons, such as the marriage having been estabilished for the purpose of sexual expression (so spouses will be dissastisfied by poor performance), one or both spouses lacking purity (disappointment after disappointment ensue), one of both spouses being very serious types of person so sex cannot be approached casually enough for experimentation (and this is not…

People aren't lacking shame. Much to the contrary, they have become immune to it due to how overused it is. The funny thing about shame is that it is both a deterrent and a stimulant for undesirable behaviours. It represses misbehaviour only up to a certain point, which is when one decides to take a stand for themselves against what they perceive as unfair and arbitrary repression. From this point, people will use shame as a reverse moral compass, as an active attempt of desensitizing themselves…

"There is a vast spectrum between dating apps and cold approaching" I don't really understand why people seem to miss it so much. They will say "We need third spaces" when this is absolutely bollocks. People back then made friends and lovers in school, work and hobbies normally, they didn't need the "third spaces" they supposedly had. People nowadays act like people in 60s or so were some kind of anal retentive bureaucrats that acted like "NO FLIRTING IN SCHOOL, ONLY IN PARK!" and then parks, ma…

This might sound bad, but it works: priorize survival over victory. It means that you will have take quite a few Ls in life but strategically so to pick your battles. Masking is a lot easier when you make it a habit to play Devil's Advocate (a rethoric exercise consisting of actively trying to come up with arguments favourable to something you disagree with) so you can learn to say what people wanna hear without having too much internal conflict. The problem is not Autism per se. The problem is how society is set up, in a way that anyone with any sort of disadvantage may end up flowing into dark places. This is why you see radical Manosphere groups having an overrepresentation of people in the Spectrum. It's not the Spectrum that makes people bad, rather the Spectrum makes it very likely for them to experience the brunt of societal injustices and cultural flaws so they naturally develop strong sentiments of that things need to change. Think this way: if you were to choose to date someone you just saw from a dating app or is cold approaching you; or a friend you have been fairly getting along with, which would you choose? That's what I'm trying to get at. I am yet to ever see a single "Friendzoned" male who wasn't just a vague acquaintance to the girl at best but completely blewn an assumption of her impression of him out of proportion and then got mad when reality knocked on his door. And I have been tracking this discussion …

I'd say no, because that's not how the Friendzone narrative develops. What happens most of the time is the guy not being a (proper) friend of the girl before getting interested on her. In the scenario you presented, things usually develop differently from the usual Friendzone debacle.

Just because you call it objectification doesn't mean women also think so. I'd say that there is a fine line between keeping certain things impersonal for the sake of simplicity, safety and convenience; and reducing people to impersonal characteristics when otherwise it would be reasonable and/or expected not to do so. It is, technically speaking, having a job is a form of self-objectification as we are literally selling our time and effort, but this is not much talked about because it's a truis…

I find it doubtful that grandpas had warmer social lives. They lived in far worse times and bad times don't make people particularly positive and affectionate, you know. I think that what happened for relationships to happen better was that people had fewer places to run away into when spooked at Human imperfection. Today we have this mentality of that no relationship at all is better than a "toxic" one. I don't know about you, but I have never heard older people say this. I only hear people aro…

Oh, the "Both sides are bad" kind. I'm sorry but if you can't discern sternness against evil from stern evil, then you are unfit for making moral judgements. You are the kind of person who would see God giving proper consequences to the wicked and say He is no better than the devil. Everything the good side does is good, even if it's bad. Or haven't you seen Manospherers bemoaning that women are getting diplomas and jobs so now they supposedly can afford to snob on humbler men and will only accept to date men who are even better? If an apartment costs 100m Rubles, you can only buy it if you have at least 100m Rubles. There is definitely a spectrum of wealth: you can have 0 Rubles, 1000 Roubles, 1234567890 Rubles, a sextillion Rubbles, an Avogrado Constant of Rubles and so on. But if you don't have at least 100m, you can't buy the apartment. In this case, wealth IS objectively binary: you either have enough money or you don't. The same goes for attraction. The other person can have any amount of attraction, but it means n…

Highly disagree. The Bible says "Faith Without Works Is Dead" for a very good reason. This maxim means that any mental state that doesn't necessarily influence, inhibit, promote or regulate external behaviour is as good as not existing at all. It's completely useless to, say, say you are X but you don't look X, don't speak X and don't do X. At this point, it's simply safe to judge that you're either being insincere or at least are very misguided and/or misinformed. Either way, that's not a good …

Couldn't it be argued that there is non-biological aspect to it? I mean, I'd argue that being romantically rejected boils down to a personal attack because romance (at least how it should be in it's succesful and ideal state) is fairly inextricable from identity and personality, as well highly associated to physicality, which in turn is also highly associated to identity. It is, they ressent social order and social responsibility, and try to "regain control" by doing things they know are wrong, just for the sake of doing something they were not commanded to do by either authorities, laws or ethics. This is the mechanism behind most hangups fornicators have with fornication, and clear behaviour typical of abuse victims such as Fawning for promiscuity.

Yes. This all stems from societal apathy and Individualism. As the Bible shows, God castigates those whom He loves. Men just argue that they are indeed entitled and the problem is that this entitlement is interpreted as a societal failure. It's fun to watch, but it's tragic nevertheless.

You have missed the memo. Didn't you know that noticing patterns of behaviour in human groups is bigotry? /s

Deflecting an argument with calling out of whataboutism is a move as scummy as whataboutism itself because it is indeed deflecting criticism

Last time I checked, female predators date boys because they are vulnerable and easily manipulated, not because they have some sort of masculinity that is effective but arbitrarily unacknowledged.

If people love each other, they won't feel the need to marry? Maybe. But why would they feel they shouldn't marry? Because if they start listing the disadvantages of marriage, all of which are borne from people failing to comply to it's principles, do they really love and trust each other? After all, if they so easily assume the other won't keep their part of the deal, then this is anything but trust. If they don't trust each other, then they ought not to marry indeed, but it also means they don…

This. OP ignores that people have Free Will. People have every right they get to choose to acquiesce or not to efforts, for whatever reason or non reason they see fit. You can do everything right and people simply won't feel like rewarding you, and that's okay, and you can do everything wrong and people might feel merciful and help you and ignore some flaws, and that's okay. OP acts like, say, a Counter Strike player writing out an entire step-to-step script to win a competitive match, and when …

If I hold the keys to my success, then what about all the people involved in providing me with the rewards of success? They don't have Free Will? It all hinges on my own ability to rizz people?

Which one is it? If it's wrong for males to feel their despair, then you're showing you don't really believe what you preach. Negative thoughts are exactly as valid as positive ones. You either discriminate, leading to suppression of both, or you don't discriminate, leading to acceptance of both.

Counterpoint: the acceptance of other people 100% determines your worth. We are not isolated islands. If people dislike you, you are objectively lacking. If you dismiss other people's opinions like that to the point of it not affecting you, you aren't being strong nor mature, you are just being emotionally unavailble and callously denying connection to people.

Your sincerity about your distasteful feelings is morally worth more than a thousand false pretensions at acceptable feelings. I commend you for this.

Kind of, but no. Dry spells are not counter-evidences to competence, they are statistical anomalies that have investigable causes, which only rarely (if not never) have anything to do with confidence. Also... Being good at one thing makes you be able to be good at anything? That's certainly the take of 2024. If it was true, people wouldn't be bad at anything at all. If you say people just don't want to improve, then we're through with this conversation.

You are trying to detach two things that aren't detachable in reality: attitudes and values behind the attitudes. What does it prove that women value sex less than males? It only proves that they have valid reasons to do so, which is clearly what you are trying to steer away from the argument. Also, your argument is oddly neoliberal in nature, as it puts both the rich kid and a poor kid in a very unfair position: the poor kid has to pull themselves up by their bootstraps by "creating" wealth ex …

I don't think this analogy is very good, because there is far less personal, health, social and safety liabilities in a rich kid donating a toy than in a woman "donating" a begrudging relationship to an unqualified male. Another crack in the analogy is that the poor kid seems to be working hard to become rich, which is something that can very well happen without any need for the rich kid to "step down". But reality is not like that. Reality is that the poor kid needs the rich kid to outright giv…

Sex doesn't "just happen", in the sense of it happening with little input or initiative of the one in the short end of the stick. Rape does. What your friend has experienced is a series of Statutory SA cases where she couldn't validly consent, and is giving consent post-hoc, which is the kind of thing that perpetuates rape culture.
