An enthusiastic "YES!". Love this. Any hint of "no" can crush their spirits. A very hard and lonely lesson to learn.

Thank you all for your helpful comments. I do take them to heart. For my first time responding on a bulletin as this, I find it very healing and energetic. Believe I will stick around. Thank you

Thankfully our girls are still living here. I have apologized to them for not being the example of a Biblical wife or mother. I have asked their forgiveness. They will see it in my actions

Before healing can begin, each person must put their stuff in a wagon and haul to themselves. Take responsibility. That is what I am doing. I won't put blame on my husband.. Yes, we all have faults. Yes, it takes two. However, when you focus on fixing yourself a lot of other issues will come into alignment. Remember, pointing a finger at him you will have three fingers pointing back at yourself.

Thank you. One tends to think rather all the RPW never fall short and have it all together.

Thank you very much for this. I do realize my hisband loves me or he wouldn't care to correct me. I have misread his intentions in the past. No longer. Question I think we all could ask.... If we are assuming what are husbands would say, what does that show about our hearts.. Yuck!

I agree a sincere apology is needed. Also I would peruse some books like "The Surrendered Wife" and "The Proper Care and Feeding of husbands". You need to say your sorry and more importantly ACT sorry. I have heard about these books, but haven't read. Currently reading "excellent Wife", but will definitely give these a read. Thanks so much

Most importantly, don't just say but do. It's very common for women to say and do two different things, but you need to try to make sure your actions line up with your words. Yes, my issue. My words and actions often took different paths. My intention was good, but it means nothing

Holding my tongue has been the issue. I also believed that my opinion is so important he needed to hear. Wrong. Since I talk a lot with my hands, I sit on my hands if I feel I need to spout off.

Pity parties are soooo lonely. You are usually the only party in attendance. :)

Women who want these are in sad shape and will never have peace in their souls as much as they think they will

It has not even been a consideration of mine to have another. I have been given the best as a gift from God. Marriage is a commitment and a covenant between the couple and God. My husband did suggest I click on the link. All I can say is UGH! Why would it even be an option.

I have been in Self improvement mode for the past couple of months. My husband purchased a fitbit for me. It helps to calculate your movement throughout the day and has an app to record food on your phone. Love it. I am getting there and do see myself as being fit again. I am much older than you - 56. I have realized that I am NOT in my 20s. Yes, I have begun exercise programs in the past with full gusto only to injure myself and be out for months. I am taking full responsibility for my life and…

I take full responsibility for my actions. Times past I used to blame him because my feelings got hurt. My feelings are not the issue. My feelings are like a hummingbird zipping around. He can never meet my emotional needs. He only wants to help make me a better woman, wife, and mother.

The list... I still make lists for myself. The sickening thing is that if something is not on my list and I do it, I add to list so I can cross off. Makes me laugh. I don't make my husbands lists anymore. He has his own list. If I do ask him to do anything for me, I am learning to know that it will get done in his time. He will ask if there is a time it needs to be done.

I am new to the site so I haven't delved in yet. My husband had sent me the blog and suggested I get on read posts. I have been following a couple of other RP for the past months. You nailed it. I hate this part of me. I have gone through a laundry list and have repented and asked forgiveness. Many times there are layers to an item and once I repent, the onion gets peeled back more. I look forward to being cleansed. For the past 10 years I have not taken care of myself. When my husband met me I …

I am back. After posting I have had a busy day. I do apologize. Being new to blogging, I didn't check back right away for responses. Thank you for those that have given me advice. My husband read my post and was not entirely pleased. I have told the story of what is happening currently in our marriage, not what has brought us to this point. To gfresh405: my husband is keeping strong reigns on me. I have been stubborn as a mule. I will be transparent. This is difficult: I was a rebellious teen. I…
