I think the penis thing (haha) is difficult to parse because we as guys aren't sure if this is a single instance of a larger pattern of a lack of mutually reciprocated respect for men. Most guys I know could say something similar and at worst I'd think it was mildly self-deprecating because I know that they're guys and they probably respect themselves and myself as a guy as well.
