I get what you mean. I have seen this "toxic" way of bringing up trauma just to get sympathy and to manipulate and I have to be weary of it. However, on the dates, the situation was no where near as extreme / toxic as this. They were just open and honest about it.

Haha, sums up how modern society makes us focus on other stuff, like career, and how much distraction and easy pleasure there is available everywhere that makes women hard to pursue in comparison.

It describes the phenomena of flow, the state where you focus deeply on one task. This could be linked to passion as the things that bring you flow are things you can do for long periods of time.
