Well you’ll be glad to know groups like BPS aren’t as pathetic as the APA. Maybe recognise Psychology differs around the world.

How are you still on about this Blue? Your understanding of prostate cancer that you publish on your YT is misinformation and misinformed and it’s time you take accountability for that as to not damage the cause further.

That’s sort of my point though. He should be LEGALLY innocent until proven guilty (or not) but we don’t know enough either way to make judgement.

The system is stacked against men, nobody’s denying that. But there’s too many comments also assuming whole innocence when we should just be recognising that it may or may not be true.

How do we know he’s not just saying he didn’t do it? Personally I dislike commenting on any of these situations without more details because it’s one word against the other. Assuming the boy is guilty is wrong, but so is assuming he’s just another target. I see no evidence EITHER way. Regardless it should still be innocent before guilty so he should get a lawyer.

Don’t join. Horrible and toxic server. Staff are manipulative. Tolerate abuse of users for far too long, then try to blame it on the users themselves. Horrible environment. Painter especially just yells and shouts and doesn’t actually think about the impact he’s having. The Owner is unable to hold himself to account when making a mistake. No co-operation, no regard or respect for their members. Disaster. Has caused extensive torment to many innocent people. Users have had their livelihoods threa…

Coercive rape exists, and should exist for men too. Feeling like you’re being manipulated into sex is a form of coercion, which is a form of sexual assault and/or rape. What needs to happen is that men in these scenarios need to also be able to be given support and justice when they too are victims of sexual coercion. Not all rape is automatically violent, especially not when it comes from family and/or friends that the individual used to trust.

I was sexually assaulted as a man and I also “just lay there” (for the most part) because I was in utter shock and terror of what was happening. It took me a year or so of talking to my male friends to recognise what had happened to me was rape. Freeze response to sexual violence is quite common so do we actually know for sure that it isn’t sexual violence, and it’s “just regret”…it being two years ago doesn’t automatically mean that.

Neither Spacey or Weinstein are the ones to hang out hats on. Many genuinely wholly innocent men out there. Spacey has allegations remaining against him and Weinstein was found guilty (not just because of a kangaroo court). Men, just like women can and do commit sexual violence and often abhorrent crimes … they’re not the ones we should be protecting or fighting for.

I didn’t mention feminists nor am I going to choose anyones side in this idiotic debate especially not with terminology like woke that is now utterly meaningless. What I am saying is many groups do not believe in anything beyond biological men and women and thus “non binary” or even “trans” comes with its own consequences.

If you still present as stereotypically masculine, people will still treat you as such. You’ll just also likely get the joys of abuse that also comes with being on the gender identity spectrum.

Financial abortions I support wholly; they should be accessible for all men as it’s the closest option available to saying “no I am not in a position to afford this right now (which is valid for women, so should be valid for men)”. What I don’t support is giving the man a say in the final decision of her choosing an actual abortion or not, because they have a biological aspect we simply don’t have unfortunately. I should add however that we should be looking beyond this and looking to support lo…

Please don’t minimise the struggles that transgender men and women face. Whether it’s your intention or not with this post, that’s what this can do. Being trans is a horrendous and challenging ride and one faced with a whole host of hurdles until they’re safe, happy and themselves - let’s not reduce it to “change industry” as if that would solve the societal issues facing men. Let’s focus our energy instead of pushing for systemic changes. I also won’t be replying to this because I expect downvo…

Sure. As I said, until you’re able to discuss the nuance of a non black and white issue that does differ depending on the place too I don’t see the point in continuing. I also don’t see the point in continuing with someone who sees it as “the empathy gap” when abortion is free because “men don’t benefit”. The empathy gap is very real and actually does have some harm in healthcare, but the point you’re making isn’t it. Our entire healthcare runs on the premise that a lot of people never use it, o…

Yeah, it’s clear you’re not quite getting the point and I’m not debating funding in healthcare when we’re not discussing the nuance of an issue that isn’t remotely black and white, and we don’t even come from the same place. We actually have a gender health gap where many women receive poorer healthcare than men in certain aspects and thus have increased funding in those aspects, and vice versa actually. Then there’s certain conditions that are blatantly ignored altogether. I stand by abortion b…

I don’t know where you live where this is the case, but considering we live in totally different countries (I assume) I don’t see the point in “debating” this. Regardless, there’s plenty of gender specific healthcare here on both sides of the equation - male healthcare that women never need and female healthcare that men never need. What we as men get out of it is that we have a fairly reliable and accessible healthcare system that doesn’t discriminate by wealth and class and that we can utilise…

I agree in terms of how vascetomies are discussed. Although they’re not as ‘easily reversed’ as some make them out to be, the risks in general aren’t any “worse” than what women’s birth control “risks” are realistically. If it is such a large concern it’s a sensible step.

And I fully support abortion up until the point of viability. That’s your choice and your stance on the matter; but I think if the woman cannot have an abortion; we don’t have a leg to stand on to pretend we deserve a “financial” one. I’m done with this conversation completely now because you see a D&C (something which barely happens since almost 90% happen at below 12 weeks when it’s a tablet) as barbaric, I do not. I work in healthcare and have seen these performed/understand how it happens - …

Yup, they do. They also deserve the right to access an abortion if these methods fail or their circumstances change so they don’t have to endure the trauma of an unwanted pregnancy. I’m all for male reproductive and parental rights as shown by my other comments, but I also fully support women being able to access an abortion regardless. I have nothing else to say.

Yeah I didn’t come to this page to debate “free” healthcare either quite frankly, but it truly isn’t handwaving. I’ve worked in a variety of places and I’ve seen the pros and the cons; and money is a real barrier to healthcare for far too many. Lastly, what I will say before stopping replying because you’re arguably the one now writing unsubstantiated information - free abortions don’t encourage people to “use contraception less” nor do they encourage people to treat them like contraception. Gra…

I work in healthcare and I’ve seen the impact that an unwanted pregnancy and post partumn can have and it is a trauma. Just because their bodies theoretically can, doesn’t mean that an unwanted one doesn’t cause a whole host of physical; mental and emotional damage pre and post partumn - and that impacts the whole family, including the newborn and the father. Don’t play down the impact that pregnancy and birth can have when it’s forced upon someone when we take away their option to say no.
/r/MensRights25/09/22 02:14 AM

That’s a tricky and unfortunate situation but we cannot get to a stage where we pretend it’s acceptable to put her through the physical trauma that men simply cannot experience of an unwanted pregnancy.
/r/MensRights25/09/22 02:04 AM

As it should be. The decision should ultimately be between the couple, and in an ideal situation if the father feels he cannot be a parent that’s more than acceptable but he should make this decision within the timeframe of the woman being able to also access an abortion.
/r/MensRights25/09/22 02:01 AM

Abortion being “free” allows those from poorer backgrounds who are oftentimes more vulnerable and desperate to access one if they require one. It absolutely matters to some extent. I’ve already explained myself in my above comment and my own comment on this thread however so I shan’t have anything else to add to your reply.

I didn’t come here to debate the morality of abortion. I live outwith the US, so I can’t comment on the “plurality” of states, but here it is accessible and legal and it should stay that way, especially if we wish to be able to increase reproductive rights for men. I work in healthcare here and I’m aware how the “free” system works; I do not need it explained or patronised to me. I knew exactly what I meant by ‘free’ and most people who have variations of Universal Healthcare, or healthcare prov…

Yup, it’s not okay to view the Dad as a deadbeat and yip there should be more options for the father - I don’t think we’re debating that. What I am debating, actually not debating because I’m not going to change my mind on something I’ve seen first hand the devastation and danger it causes to all involved, is that taking away abortion out of some twisted “if we all have to suffer” spite that still won’t achieve anything for men is downright wrong. Thankfully there’s countries outwith the US and …

Yeah we’re not going to agree on that. I work in healthcare and I see the damage, emotionally and physically not being ready does; to the husband, wife and the child. I’m never going to agree to forcing her through all that, or anyone else in the family. Abortion should remain legal and accessible.
/r/MensRights25/09/22 01:07 AM

Six months is about 26 weeks and bar a few states in the US which I disagree with, abortion isn’t allowed then unless for medical need. Viability outwith the womb sits around 23/24 weeks.

To clarify…. If she learns she’s pregnant at six weeks, and the limit is 24, the father would be notified also at 6 weeks and thus would also have till 24 weeks to decide? Because if he’s notified at say 12 weeks, he still only has till 24 weeks to decide because she should still be able to access an abortion?

Again, the whole forcing them into parenthood when women have a biological aspect added on that we don’t means it’s an issue that’s never going to be equal. I’ll always stand by because of that they should have access to abortion.
/r/MensRights25/09/22 12:52 AM

I disagree with this for reasons I’ve stated elsewhere on this thread. Women have a biological physical aspect to it that men don’t have and neglecting/pretending that doesn’t factor into it doesn’t help us or them. Men who do not have the option to financially opt out, suffer financially and emotionally. A woman on top of that suffers physically and suffers with the trauma and mental health difficulties that can arise from an unwanted PHYSICAL pregnancy, plus all the post partum complications. …

See this is what I meant in my comment when I said imo there’s no way to make this ‘equal’ realistically. Women have the additional biological aspect and I think it’s abhorrent to come to a situation that would force her to carry the child and give birth and deal with post partumn issues, so medical abortion as it stands should be accessible and legal for the woman. She also has the choice to give it up for adoption; or to use “safe haven” type spaces in some countries too. Some people compare t…

To say the father should have an financial abortion whilst not allowing the mother to have the same option isn’t viable or equal. The whole idea of a financial abortion is to give men more reproductive/parental rights, and if women don’t have that option then we’re not making it equal. It doesn’t work.

I come from a country where healthcare is “free” (in terms of being universal, I understand that’s not explicitly free but it’s not the same as countries that have paid healthcare such as America) hence why I included that statement and why it isn’t “crazy” to me - it’s normal for us. An abortion here is ‘free’ (at point of use), accessible and legal. It should remain that way. Society isn’t responsible for men OR women’s reproductive choices perhaps, but I live somewhere where we have “free” (I…

This works provided she is okay with going through the pregnancy itself. What’s often lost in all these conversations is the fact that women have a biological aspect that men simply will never have to consider.

I’ve heard it used against men and women, hence why I said it isn’t helpful. It doesn’t help men or women. This just isn’t it and it’s rubbish to see it posted on multiple places by you. As I say, we already are. You claim to want men who are “doing it” and we wanted to join in order to WIDEN our resources to vulnerable men who might need it. You and your ego trip however did not and resorted to scummy name calling because people wanted to retain some level of privacy. You are hindering Men’s Right as I say. Not helping. It’s shocking you don’t even take accountability for how much DAMAGE you’re doing.
/r/MensRights15/09/22 08:42 PM

As I said, we’ve got a charity going but you yourself claim to know how difficult it is to get people to CARE about men’s rights. A discord server where men actually want to DO things would provide a platform to connect with other men who want to support men’s rights PRACTICALLY, and allow us to expand the resources we have to help more men. The fact you’re REJECTING that is genuinely disgusting. You’re a false figure for the movement; all talk, no do and a hinderance in fact.
/r/MensRights15/09/22 08:14 PM

It wasn’t just me. I was one user, another user as I stated above was banned when you called him a loser despite doing nothing wrong. You then rejected another user simply for not calling with you. It isn’t just me. It’s a wide variety of men who are in positions to DO things, but you reject every single one of them. It’s disgusting if I’m honest. A false flag MRA if I’ve ever seen one. You can continue to rewrite history and deny what happened, but it only makes you look even more awful.

No. I have shared the information with you, on Discord, before you decided to call me names because you decided I wasn’t “worthy” of your server. I shared the name of multiple charities I work with, and I shared the real life progress we are hoping to make by expanding across countries. Six months actually, but Reddit is a newer platform for me that I’m getting used to using. Using for the purpose of organising real life events with other men: which is why I was so excited to see your post and join the server to find others who want to make a change in REAL life instead of meaningless talking, but no. Apparently your ego means you deem us “not worthy” when in actuality as I say, you’re hurting men not helping like you believe you are.

All access to more men who can ALSO spread the resources and work together is vital. If you can’t see that, you’re the fraud.

I have a charity that supports local men with homelessness, but it would be more beneficial be able to stretch this idea out to more men who are in need of it. Your server provided the opportunity to do that and for someone who claims to want “men to do more” it’s ironic and disgusting that you don’t let people in this position in. You’re hindering men’s rights whilst pretending to help, you’re just as bad as half the feminists you hate.

Wholly inappropriate message, and no - you very clearly don’t. You name call users who you don’t deem ‘worthy’ despite them genuinely actively making real world progress and for wanting to join a server that claims to do the same. This reply doesn’t even make sense. What you’re doing is harming Men’s Rights. You’re excluding perfectly genuinely men with the power to make a difference because they don’t want to reveal personal information about themselves until they have at least gotten to know some of the members of the group and the opportunities for real life activism. This statement is only used as to not make trans men feel more dysphoric than they already often to. When beginning to transition, they still get things like periods despite being men (because trans men are men, and for mens rights it’s important that we respect and support that) so it’s easier to just say “people who menstruate” so to not make them feel dysphoric.

Comparing wet dreams to periods shows you don’t understand the issue at hand. It was meant to support those from poor backgrounds by providing period products for free in public facilities so those who struggle with period poverty so miss things like work could be supported. I’ve been involved in this to some extent from my own work and research. It was the gender critical types who have caused this, not women as a whole and not even feminists as a whole. Mainly the TERFs who were sending malicious emails and death threats and those who use ‘feminism’ as a label to hide under to be transphobic. Lots of men and women can get depressed about not having children or a partner, lots of others are depressed when they do. I know it doesn’t feel like it makes sense and I wouldn’t be comfortable doing it, but if that’s their chosen career path that’s their choice and I don’t particularly wish to judge.

My original comment said the image isn’t really wrong though is it cause MOST ARE MEN. That’s still the point that stands dude, christ.

Christ West, you’re ever so impossible aren’t you. I’m shocked you’ve even been able to read this much if I’m honest. My INITIAL statement was that the poster isn’t wrong though because it is MOSTLY men. You decided to play gotcha by being like “but we both know some women who send death threats” when in actuality I never said we didn’t. You moved the goalposts, not me and then you argued with these new goalposts you created whilst I was continually trying to discuss the fact that I said it’s MO…

Dude I literally DIDNT support that claim. I urge you to go back to the start of this thread and quote me word for word what I wrote because you are desperately spinning it to the point it’s so pathetic.

Dude you’re the only one lying here, genuinely drop it. I haven’t moved a single goal post. I NEVER claimed ALL men made death threats;I claimed the majority come from men, which remains true. You’re the one unable to follow that line of argument which is what’s pathetic.

Only it is your reading comprehension cause you’re arguing a point I didn’t make.

It is definitely a reading comprehension issue since you’re still struggling to grasp what I said in the first place. It’s honestly laughable at this stage you’re arguing with the wall about a comment I never made.

You’re repeating yourself like you’re missing the point and I’m concerned for your reading comprehension. MOST people who send death threats are women. How I “defended” it was to say exactly that - that “TBF IT IS MOSTLY MEN.”

Keep repeating yourself if you wish but i actually said men send the MAJORITY and are MOST responsible for it and that remains true.

Original claim: it is MAINLY men. As we’ve both admitted, that stands.

Original claim: male dominated issue. Still is a male dominated issue. Still is mainly on men to take accountability.

Still a male dominated issue though and it’s pathetic you can’t admit that.

I didn’t say women didn’t send any but it’s a male dominated issue.

Women send some but men send far more and are far more likely to act on them too. Truth hurts a bit sweets.

HAHAHAHAH good one. Women get a shit ton of death threats just for existing. You don’t want to date them? Death threAt. You turn down what isn’t a compliment from a stranger on social media? Death threat.

Anecdotal. I’ve had death threats from plenty of men.

We all have stories like that. In general though, it’s not wrong. You can all downvote as much as you all like but it’s the truth. Men do better.

Depends if we’re including things like accidental mistreatment and all these other categories that some police departments use. There’s plenty of infamous stories of mothers and fathers murdering their kids - or their entire family. It’s heart wrenching.

Condoms fail. Contraception fails. Men and women from marginalised and poor communities don’t have access to affordable contraception or a fair education about safe sex. I wiiish it was as simplistic as your little message makes it seem and I don’t see how it benefits men, or their partners, in any way to force a woman to go through pregnancy and birth and then for them to be obligated to the child even more so than they already are. Surely it not only validates the bodily autonomy of the woman,…

Abortion impacts everyone. I actually agree men need more reproductive rights but abortion affects everyone, not just women and quite frankly I’d like to see it not be turned over

The Gamma Bias isn’t yet proven or a “real” theory which makes it challenging to use and support despite seemingly existing.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
