Who cares. I can tell you it’s a lot less people than you think. Do your thing, if she gets pissed, who cares, that’s her problem. As far as social media, anyone with a sound and mature mind won’t give a rip and most likely makes her look bad. You have to figure out a way to flip with switch of not caring. Be respectful, mind your business, don’t do anything to land you back in family court and love your kids like there’s no tomorrow. You absolutely will not regret that approach. You will 100% r…

The more you start to disconnect from this situation, the better your relationship with your kids will thrive and your own self. She will get half, prep for that. 50/50 is awesome. The state I’m in is 1st 3rd 5th weekend. If you’re in your 30s, you have plenty of time to recover and continue building a good life for yourself and potentially future family

It’s tough man. I am now VERY close with my two youngest so I think that helps the most. They might possibly be closer to me than my wife. 2 years ago when they were much smaller, our bond was still growing so I was scared that would be interrupted. Outside of that, I am finding it very very hard to want to keep going, outside of my Christian faith and keeping the family together… I don’t have a reason to keep going. Sucks

Yea I don't know. She has a ton of trauma from her past and is a big dismissive avoidant. It's like she wants to stay and do her part but she has no clue how and then dissociates big time like with everything else in life. I've grown to a place in life to not need her. I am very content with my relationships with my kids and friends as well as hobbies and businesses. Without those, I could see her really dragging me down. At one point she did when I was in my dark years... I became needy... but …

What was the hardest part and how have you overcome it?

A handful of times. I did chase her once about a year and a half ago when she said she would file and there was no changing her mind… we reconciled and she said she was all in but since then, she’s slowly cared less and less which is now games, pettiness, blatant disrespect in front of kids, ignoring my family and friends. Whatever

Man about two years ago we separated and I was angry for a bit, but then as I got a grip on that anger and really anger in general, I learned that anger is a healthy emotion as long as our actions are kept in check. Usually sadness is the root of anger. I was so sad for so long. For everyone, but mainly the kids. Very grateful that all the kids are doing very well. Yea no one deserves it, the fallen world we live in isn’t fair… but most days, when I pause to look at all the good things in my lif…

Man, yea brother, it’s a wild trip… ultimately just so heartbreaking, for everyone… especially your ex yea? I know how it is taking the brunt of all that. Not complaining or acting like a victim, def not, just pretty bummed out. Hope you’re healing well, having endless fun with kiddos and taking care of yourself my man.

Yea, it’s a tragedy takes its toll on two wonderful people, before they meet… only for that tragedy to continue its destruction to once together. Mine trauma caused destruction in our marriage early on… I finally saw it all for face value and was unrelenting about complete change… now we are 3 years out of those days and my wife can seem to see or shake how her trauma is causing the current destruction. And she’ll fight tooth and nail it has nothing to do with her. It’s heartbreaking really. She…

Yea it sucks man. I def had some moments that added to her pain, I took a year separated from her to figure it all out and she agrees I’m a completely different man. But yea when she gets triggered, it’s like her mindset goes way back and I’m some massive threat to her and she spirals so fast and it gets bad. She told me right before we got married she healed all that and none of that affected her…. But she still needed SSRIs and a week into being married, her behavior reflected a much different…

Yea man, week minimum over here… mixed in with pettiness. Back in the day, the week long silent treatment and cooking everyone dinner except me would get to me and it would get ugly, mainly on my end… Def was baited into that nonsense but not anymore these days. It’s frustrating the effect it has on our relationship. I am genuinely heart broken for her, I love her deeply, but man it’s still got a solid grip on her.

I’m doing it for my kids and not for her. My two babies are my world. They ask to sleep with me every night, not her. We are very close. If my wife struggles to transition, so will they. I can’t take them full time at the moment or else I would.

You can’t make her realize anything. Continue to focus on your self, your peace and a full life apart from her and women in general. You’ll realize a few things of your own in this. A man that is free from any “authority” in life is irresistible. What I mean is a man that has full control over his emotions, his vision, convictions and self, (my own opinion here) under the leadership of God, will change the mind of any women. That great thing is, once you get to this place as a man, you won’t des…

Your headspace might be dampened right now but when you look back on these few days with your grandparents, you’ll be forever grateful. What a gift.

I’ve thought about this. But, I don’t want to stoop that low. I don’t hate her or wish her ill intent. She will struggle with or without money, she can barely take care of our 2 and 4 year old. I want to give her enough to get a place and all that for about 6-8mo.

My wife agreed to all of this and divorce wasn’t even on our radar at the time. We were happy to complete the house and close on it. We love it here. There was no planning of this. There’s no contract whatsoever except just conversations between us three and all being on the same page. My wives credit score was not used at all… or mine. No legal tie and if it burned down, every penny to my mom. Once in a fight she told me she hated the house, didn’t care about it and wanted her name off everythi…

Take the kids out to do stuff, even if it’s playing card games at a coffee shop or a Chili’s. Sometimes we just drive around and listen to all kinds of music and stop somewhere for a cookie. Way more fun than sitting in the tension

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
