Finally filedAlso my concern. But as soon as I filed. She told her parents and they were just laughing and joking about it. Then I get a text saying that she told her mom and that her mom already knew how she is so it wasn’t much to explain. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/06/23 08:38 PM
Finally filedYou sound like you’re doing an amazing job, though. Unfortunately, all we can control is what is happening behind our doors and our own actions The kids always get hurt in this and it’s sad to see. Continue to be their sword and shield and they will grow well. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/06/23 08:37 PM
Finally filedI used to feel bad for thinking that about her. The longer I stayed and started reaching out for help. I realized that moms, too can be deadbeats. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/06/23 08:34 PM
Finally filedI work from home. She works sporadic hours, so she’s only with them a couple hours of the day. Days off is spent of social media. I’ve already told the kids an appropriate explanation as to what’s happening and what will be changing. Besides the kids needing comfort and time, the only change that happens here will be her being in the spare room. I take care of everything else at the house and if I can’t leave, I order what is needed for us. Thank you for your comment. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/06/23 08:33 PM
Finally filedMoms can be worse at times and it’s sad. I’ve been all over group forums reading other men’s stories on the matter. Trying to see what I can do to make these kids lives a smooth one. My youngest is only 5 months. No one is over the age of 8. I’ve told myself that no matter who did what. I have to remain the bigger person in this situation . My kids watch my actions whether or not someone has done me wrong. Keeping a parenting journal has been helping me remain level, too. | 2 | Finally filedThank you. It was scary, to be honest. I worked too hard to lose everything. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/06/23 08:23 PM
Finally filedShe’s got 5 kids. She gave her teen to her mom a few months ago. Counseling is a must for the babies. Honestly, I think she may just disappear. Can’t post exact quote of what’s been said to me, due to confidentiality. But she’s given me every play in the book that she’s not staying around long | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/06/23 08:21 PM
Finally filedI’ve already filed for it. She agreed and signed “I’m giving you custody because I don’t feel like fighting you in court over the kids”. All she had to do was say she wants partial custody or shared custody. But she turned over physical and legal without me even mentioning it. She also randomly brings up that she will be going to concerts, Traveling “healing”. She gave her mom custody of her oldest(teen pregnancy. not mine biologically) a few months ago because she “don’t feel like dealing with … | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/06/23 08:19 PM
Finally filedThat’s not fair to them, and it kills me. I’ve opened my door completely to the kids if they have questions, concerns or just want to voice their feelings on the matter. So being their first line of mental and emotional support has started with me. I know they will need someone else to really let go on how they feel. I myself am trying to mentally prepare. It’s stressful. Thank you for your comment. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/06/23 09:10 AM
