Not to be too pedantic but it is Mauna Kea. Everest is the highest. A six foot person in an in-ground swimming pool is still six feet tall even if half of him is covered in water. Mauna Kea is twice as tall as Everest.

Hey MortifiedCucumber! I rewrote your first paragraph for fun. I'd be willing to rewrite more with your permission as I am better at stealing than originality and will probably use most of my rewrite in future discussions. The vast genetic diversity of the human species extends past the mere physical appearances in gender and into the neurological, the physiological and, most importantly, the social. Any singled-out individual will have, by that point in their life (assuming one is at least of a…

Joke? Once again, try r/mrmemes for MR-related jokes.

Bill Burr is not talking about hitting women. You make a title like in the OP and we get reposted on r/againstmensrights for wanting to hit women instead of what he is actually talking about and makes people think we are misogynists (and who can blame them with sloppy irresponsible titles like that). He is talking about inequalities between sexes in antiquated social expectations that do not accurately reflect current societal trends of unrestrained liberated females exploiting a loophole in whi…

No, OP, what do you think? This is the same system people used to get the US Gov to build a Death Star. Has anything ever come from this petition website they have? All they have to do is give a response, not actually act. The front page: STEP 3: If a petition meets the signature threshold, it will be reviewed by the Administration and we will issue a response. Which means as much as selling sand in the Sahara. This website is like one of those baby toys with the lights you push and a sound come…

It is typically used against women. This isn't to say that men can't be victims of it and be affected by it, though. It may not be exclusive to women, but females sure as hell get it more often. That, and the dictionary gives the definition of how words are used by our society and what we take them to mean, not what we think they should. Typically, sexism is used to mean discrimination against women and not discrimination of women. Yes, sexism happens against men. But what is worse here: sexism …

I'd like to point a few things out. the MRM is still very much a fringe group This is not true. There are millions of people in this world (and probably millions in the USA) who care about the welfare of men and our set of problems. In terms of a 'movement', you may be right in that the MRM does not have a large number of members. But a person does not need to be part of any movement to believe in treating people equally. I've always found it to be fallacious thinking that because the active mem…

TIL this single facebook post was indicative of the majority view held by women, and that a woman making a joke about her boyfriend wearing a leash shows that woman see All Men as dogs to be trained. Where else would I get such precious information? /s r/mensrights is not a space to put guilt by association on all women due to the actions done by X person or Y group, especially when such actions are in contradiction with how real people actually think. Oh, someone did something stupid on faceboo…

If you're new to it, I suggest Ludovico Einaudi. Ritornare / I Giorni / Nuvole Bianche Plus all the ones you know: Mozart, Beethoven, Bach. A "25 Greatest Classical Pieces" CD is better than anything on a pop-radio station.

OK, wait. Why was this downvoted? Did people think I was supporting Feminism or something? This is how anyone learns to be a quality member of any movement, and also society as a whole. This is how you can argue with anyone. Do people really not have humility here, or do people just not like to work for anything? Parroting stats and the same old tired arguments only helps the lowest of the low change their mind (if, at all). The lowest of the low aren't the minds we need to change. Uneducated te…

Was this guy actually a feminist, or are you assuming? It sounds like you were arguing with an asshole, not a feminist. You could try finding a new group of people instead of just your circle of friends. Some things I like to do/have done: Spend time in a library educating yourself with scholarly articles on ALL topics that relate to right's, law, psychology, biology, anthropology, geography, history, logic and reason, and read opposing views and attempt to refute them with what you have learned…

This is nothing new. It is blatant indoctrination of weak-minded individuals who don't do their own research and go by what they are told. An arguement can be made against any group of people if you only point out the worst and then tell your flock those are the ONLY traits of that group. (Of course, these people will blindly believe it simply because they are not inclined to do their own research.) This is no different than hating homosexuals because they "spread HIV and AIDS and are intentiona…
