While he seems to acknowledge his issues and is actively in treatment, one of the symptoms is intense fear of abandonment and being alone. I would hazard a guess that he seeks out women fresh out of relationships who themselves may be feeling abandoned and desperate for someone to cling to in hopes that they’ll be just as clingy and therefore more prone to sticking around.
