This is my reality nowGet to know yourself better. Meditate and practice mindfulness. Spend more alone time in nature. If you feel up for it, consider a mushroom trip. Solo, with a friend or a sitter. Psilocybin can introduce new pathways for positive integration, and help us recover from past trauma. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/05/24 12:43 AM
When did you know the spark just wasn’t going to return?OP I was in a very similar situation. No cheating, no abuse, 2 kids, 20 yrs together. We had a loving relationship, and parented well together but we drifted apart as friends. Didn’t have much in common, and we both grew resentful. After a year of therapy, we decided to separate and start the divorce process. It’s been an awful experience, and much more painful than I anticipated. Very hard on my children as well. Do everything you can to make it work. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/01/24 08:39 PM
Spouse won’t agree to sell the family house and can’t afford to buy me out.A full day of mediation with a judge and my attorney cost me $5,800 | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/10/23 11:04 PM
Spouse won’t agree to sell the family house and can’t afford to buy me out.But that wouldn’t get my name off the title right? “Some people look into HELOCs or home equity loans to make up the difference in a divorce settlement. Unfortunately, this option does not remove your partner from the home's official title. You're both on the hook for mortgage payments and HELOC payments. If you w ant a clean break during the divorce, this isn't the best route for you.” | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/10/23 11:02 PM
ResentmentYeah, formed after we got married. My state is not a community property state, I guess that’s a good thing? We follow the equitable distribution model. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/06/23 12:44 AM
ResentmentShe’s not involved in the business and definitely not a member or manager. I have two business partners and the ownership is split equally 3 ways. No distribution of earnings have been made….. yet. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/06/23 10:34 PM
ResentmentYou’re right, thank you. She wants half of my percentage of the business. We file a 1065 | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/06/23 06:10 PM
ResentmentTo clarify, she wants half the value of my shares. (We’re a multi-member LLC) | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/06/23 11:18 PM
