Get to know yourself better. Meditate and practice mindfulness. Spend more alone time in nature. If you feel up for it, consider a mushroom trip. Solo, with a friend or a sitter. Psilocybin can introduce new pathways for positive integration, and help us recover from past trauma.

OP I was in a very similar situation. No cheating, no abuse, 2 kids, 20 yrs together. We had a loving relationship, and parented well together but we drifted apart as friends. Didn’t have much in common, and we both grew resentful. After a year of therapy, we decided to separate and start the divorce process. It’s been an awful experience, and much more painful than I anticipated. Very hard on my children as well. Do everything you can to make it work.

A full day of mediation with a judge and my attorney cost me $5,800

But that wouldn’t get my name off the title right? “Some people look into HELOCs or home equity loans to make up the difference in a divorce settlement. Unfortunately, this option does not remove your partner from the home's official title. You're both on the hook for mortgage payments and HELOC payments. If you w ant a clean break during the divorce, this isn't the best route for you.”

Yeah, formed after we got married. My state is not a community property state, I guess that’s a good thing? We follow the equitable distribution model.

She’s not involved in the business and definitely not a member or manager. I have two business partners and the ownership is split equally 3 ways. No distribution of earnings have been made….. yet.

You’re right, thank you. She wants half of my percentage of the business. We file a 1065

To clarify, she wants half the value of my shares. (We’re a multi-member LLC)

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
