I agree with "sometimes you'll need to have sex even if you're not feeling it..". I think changing your mindset to "I'm doing this for him and it's ok if I don't get something out of it" could help. The problem is some men need to see you get off. And clearly you wouldn't be if you're tired or not in the mood, in which case he should be willing to work with you to fix it and not blame you for it.

So, I have a side gig that involves bodywork. I have spent a lot of time (indirectly, not specifically feminine embodiment) learning to be embodied. It's almost like the culmination of my previous work has opened the door to somatics. When it comes to men I feel jaded. In between fawning and neuroticism (like I mentioned), I have had beautiful moments with men where I've felt fully embodied. I just can't sustain it. I've been broken up with twice. I'm just tired, maybe that's where the conflict …

Thank you. I'm not attracting anyone really, I went on one date and felt nothing. He didn't seem confident to me. I don't have preferences for looks or profession, just someone who is confident and doesn't seek external validation. I need compatibility, trust, maturity, all the good things. And obviously with my son I have more limitations, I can't be moving across the country for someone so there are plenty of practical things that matter.

I was exercising and going to therapy when my life spiraled, but I think my negative thinking was just too strong. I'm in a better mental space and what helps the most is prayer and sleep.

it's emotionally taxing, but has many financial benefits. It can also be physically draining as I am an introvert and it requires a lot of social interaction.

Just reading "no, work should not be a hurdle to love or any other regular parts of life" made me tear up. Knowing that other people have not struggled with this issue the way I have makes me sad, it's been a major life theme for me. Without turning this into a therapy session, it's very validating to read that so thank you. And that is my main goal with work too, to earn enough to be comfortable and not stress. I dumped a lot of my stress from work on my ex, so that's one of my issues.

Yes, good question and I agree it might not be an issue for RPW entirely. I just agree with the philosophy and would like to live it out regardless if I'm in a relationship or not. I have always struggled to find purpose in the workplace and after having my son I really do feel like I fulfilled my purpose (as triggering as that might be to hear for some women). I feel a bit delusional having all of these SAHM aspirations without a man in sight, and I'm coming to terms with reality about how it m…

I've never met a man who had an issue with me working, I'm the one who resists work. I'm perpetually dissatisfied with work no matter what I do. Recently I thought maybe it's because I have no creative outlet, so life/work feels so draining. And somehow in my mind my work issues have become a barrier to intimacy. I definitely have intimacy issues not just in sexual relationships, but with friends, coworkers, strangers, everyone.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
