I was absolutely rigorous about birth control from my first sexual experience in spite of being told that it was very unlikely that I could get pregnant or carry a baby to term if I happened to conceive. After I’d been married for a few years, my husband wanted to try so we discontinued contraception and timed my cycle. I got pregnant the very first time we didn’t use birth control. My new neighbors are a Thai woman/western man couple. He might be an actual passport bro…or sex tourist. Her mannerisms strike me as a bit bargirl graduate. I didn’t exactly “peak in hs” in spite of being popular. I was the homecoming queen who also played tuba in marching band (loved band more than anything else). I was also shy, socially awkward, hated the spotlight and kept a very small inner circle of friends. My social skills got better in college and beyond that though. It’s rare ime to have a phone call before meeting but a good idea. I’d almost forgotten about phone calls, they seem extinct. I’ve had a couple of guys suggest a video call before meeting but I think that’s just some kind of strategy to make sure pics match the person they would meet IRL and aren’t heavily filtered or something like that

Staying in the house I built when I was 40 makes me feel proud of myself, like I did ok in life. It’s isolated, peaceful too big for one person but it’s comfortable & well designed. Exactly this…if you’re an asshole back home you’re going to be an asshole in SEA (or wherever) too. That’s just who you are. Prime example #1 is my evil ex landlord whose family probably got sick of dealing with him & gave him a chunk of cash to leave. He ended up impregnating a 24 year old as a 60 year old asshole, married her and turned her into an asshole too
