I know way more men who didn't get to go to college on daddies dime vs women. Hell half the guys in my platoon were just there because their parents or them couldn't afford to send them to college. I don't have a single female friend or ex girlfriend who's daddy didn't pay for their schooling. My buddies dad paid for his sister to go to college but not him. He had to "earn it". Still my best friend to this day and we definitely earned it. All of us did.

I can honestly say after being both combat arms and a support MOS towards the end of my time in I can tell you my time down range with my buddies and no women around was amazing. Being a platoon with women/men mixed is nothing but drama. You think you carry most of the weight now just wait. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I didn't generalize men. I didn't say all men. Yes there are men who abuse their power and yes their are men who men who don't deal with their anger issues properly and it leads to violence. As a MAN I use to struggle with anger and I found ways to deal with it, however I can see how it can lead to some acting out violently. If anything the only generalization I am making is about violent men.

I think a bigger underlying issue is that when a man and his issues aren't taken serious it leads to bottled up anger and bottled up anger leads to violent tendencies. I use to struggle with anger a lot. Never got to the point where I was violent. My anger definitely stemmed from my time in the service. Being in an environment full angry depressed people. Definitely helps to surround yourself with as much positive stuff as you can if you are dealing with anger issues.

I say no you shouldn't because you guys aren't required to pass anything at our standard. Going from a combat arms MOS to support. Back when it was just guys in combat arms it was great. No drama. And I know woman who can pass at our standard and do what needs to be done. I know men who can't meet the standard. However when I would grade PT tests back when it was the old test a males failing score would have still almost maxed the female passing score. The military is the one place where PC culture (excluding racism and sexism towards a fellow service member) has absolutely no place. We need to win wars not diversity contests.

I mean in a sense of not just gas. The military didn't prepare well enough at all for the winter of 1944 or the winter in korea and massive amounts of people froze to death. It's better to always be prepared for any situation you will ever face.
