1	OLD studies contain the most objective data we've ever had on the effect of looks on dating, so people are right to hold those studies in high regard instead of subtracting numbers from positive numbers Then they are not "negatives", they just aren't maximally positive which is a lot different than negative. Your phrasing of the word negative makes it sound like you mean something obviously detrimental (like being 5'0 as a male as opposed to 5'9). This is not how people are ranked -- being tall, rich, etc., is always a bonus and thus above zero.
