I am 6 years out from Dday and it has been a journey. Took about a year and a half not to fall for her shit anymore and then 5 years to see her a stranger. That is the moment, you see them and it is someone you used to know. A very good thing, just takes time. I was a pussy too. You have your kids!!! That is everything.

I have been thinking about that, but I have had some bad THC experiences so am sup apprehensive. I have a friend how does it often but I would not want them knowing intimate shit about me, so what does that “person” need to be? Someone aware of your shot or a professional?

I have done a few years older and the latest was 5 years younger. Both did not work out, because of baggage on their side and that is the key. I think the older you get the more baggage and inflexibility you get. I genuinely thought the one that just ended was one worthy of trying and then something about the ex. Unexpectedly re something. I am flipped out because of my own feelings x, blah, blah, and now I need to work on myself. So you get that shit. Going very well. But baggage.

You can’t win the war against someone who will keep lying. It is impossible. Go to the gym. Start eating better. This is the only way forward. Treating yourself properly. Simple. But very hard to do.

Dude! I was a month of barely eating, but I worked out because of the upset and anger I had. Beat therapy at that moment!!

I took it. Because I always supported the family and the last 2/3 years she started to make more than a lot more. My Lawyer simply said why not, if you’re entitled, you’re entitled to it. She would. So I did.

Simple. You are now not a couple and what she does is no longer your concern. Now, this takes a lot of time to figure out. But once you do, this equals peace. Me it was 5 years. But now, she is a stranger I kind of knew.

It is so hard to see clearly when you are in it. The hope, expectations from your upbringing and it is your family. That was what I had the hardest time with was the loss of my family. But I realized thatit was only in the marriage so I could see my son everyday. But it was thankful in a way my ex was so brutal with the things she tried to do and say. She actually lied about everything even though there was no point at all to even lie. But again that helped me get over the loss. Brutal during bu…

Yeah, not religious at all. But my son is my everything and my ex using him as a pawn in her attempts to manipulate the situation was the end. I hated losing my family, which included her. But when the dust settled I have my son and he chose not to have anything to do with her at all. Really sad for him, she wasn’t a terrible mother Neil he became an older teenager. Then she was. The fact that she would try to destroy any time with your kids is terrible in a way that is indescribable. I have no …

They have the capacity for physical abuse, because they know there are no repercussions for it. They know they will not be hit back. I know. But the emotional abuse is on another level in the same vein as physical abuse if with men towards women. The financial abuse is an even street I think. I am 51/2 years and finally finished the legal shit and she tries to reconcile about a year and a half into the separation and when I did no, the shit hit the fan. My advice is just that, say no, however yo…

I ended up in 3 1/2 year hellscape. Same kind of person, just presented different. In hindsight, went too fast and she was not cautious at all. Met her kid the next weekend. The shot she pulled was crazy, but hard to see while in it. So, trust and talk to your friends and listen to them. I did but never acted a On the advice. Go Gong show. But she was so hot!

Just constantly keeping her even keeled. Always praising her. Going for walks, and it was only about her, like an hour and a half. The blank stare when I told her about my day. The fear of her always one uping me in an argument. So much or all of it.

She will always take it a step further or move the goal posts. 5 years in still fighting her.

I am in Canada, Ontario to be exact. I ha e to have a business evaluation to determine the value as if it was for sale on the date of separation. Jas to do with business income and then it is a multiplier that is based on ypur industry. Then that is just put in a pool of all other assets and liabilities. Then split 50/50. So loans, cars, house etc is all part of the marital assets. My case her gov pension was a huge asset. Kicker is these experts are insanely expensive, like 10 grand, then, at l…

I found out months later that my ex was on the same night I left. I found this out after I confirmed her affair on a vacation she went on. Ypu will get to aplace where you actually won't give a shit.

M8ne came back from a solo vacation, was aloof, then I asked her what is going on....then she said she wants a divorce. My head snapped back, like WTF, 23 years? My case, luckily she was a complete nightmare during the divorce, so 2/3 months later I was over her. Now 4 years later, she truly is a person I used to know really well I thought. Know I know I never really did, so life is way better and I thank her she ripped my world apart.

Spent years at a suicide line and it is shocking how much people cry wolf. My ex still tried it with me. I simply said that "I want you to know I will call 911 when you use this language next time, but I feel you know how to keep yourself safe" She then moves onto doing this to my son, who then balled in my arms for 10 minutes. Just pure manipulation. So just say what I said, it is not your burden anymore. You can also call the local suicide line for help about someone else's suicidal ideation. …

Because you do not know your rights....yet. keep documenting, but this is while you already have a lawyer appointment set up. Know your right, get a fame plan. Women are shockingly vindictive, yes, even yours. You will be sooo suprised. To paraphrase, only option is to talk to a lawyer and tell all. Good and bad.

Dude, exactly this. I went for the familiar, instead of the fun stuff. Now 3 years later, it is the same shit show. I regret it, and I needed more time to get it out of my system. So slow down man enjoy it and when your ready your git will tell you. 23 year marriage makes it hard to play the field. Sorry, bit drunk and mat not make sense. Basically, give yourself lots of time, be sick of the game. Then look to find someone, otherwise it is just another version of your ex.

I am with a single mom that is a chore. Met her right away when I started dating. Now I wish I had lived a little more. I think it's time gents to shake the dead weight. I had a 23 year marriage into a 3 year debacle. When I started dating I honestly was super intimidated by the forwardness of the women. The nudes threw me. What a moron, bahahaha. Should have played a little. Also, drinking a little tonight boys.

Simply get legal advice with a family law attorney, then follow their recommendations no matter what.

A completely different life. I was always catering to her moods and needs. No l9nger had to worry about having too much fun and get invited out more because nobody actually liked her. I could go on and on and on.

I was there. Thought of getting better for her. You need to get better for you, then decide from there if you want to pursue it with her after. She needs her space no matter what, but so do you. Working on your self is a solo venture, but with support of friends, professionals and family. I found out she was the cause of my depression and anxiety and I am a much better a happier person without her. Who knows what you will discover with time. Best of luck man.

The fact it will take a long time is honestly good. I went too quick and I just ended up with the same type of person. Give ot easily a year or more. Preferably more. I bought a dirtbike, went to the track 2 or 3 days a week. Went back to school to change careers. Do something that scares you. Learn to enjoy yourself.

I remember the actual physical pain when it happened to me. I tried everything afterward, said what I thought she wanted me to say. Bent over backwards etc. I was so desperate I would ha e given her anything. It a horrible, devastating time for you. Even though you don't want to, talk to a lawyer just so you ha e a clear head on your side. Reach out to real and trusted friends and family. Get a lawyer not to screw her over, but to keep it from being such an unknown process. It will get easier in…

Dude, once I made my decision to talk to a lawyer, go by his advice and what was truly fair no matter how it personally felt to me or my desire to not hurt her, I simply felt better. It turns out it is far more to my benefit than she was telling me before I talked to my lawyer....funny how that works. I quickly got to see how vindictive she could be, using my adult son as a pawn, etc. When I went to see my lawyer to tell me I was screwed, not as much as she was saying, but to see how bad it was …

My lawyer explained if I wanted to kick in the back door to get into my home, I could; it is my home. Ex can only change the locks or remove anything from the house once the contents are divided and accounted for, and either spouse has bought the house to compensate the other. The same goes for you unless it is personal items, passport clothes etc. Unless she gets an order keeping you out, which is expensive, you can go live on the couch if you want. Now, would you like to? A shit show could be …
