Maybe after the child is born, but there is a window before that time where both potential parents should be given a choice. Modern society currently provides that choice to women, and it should provide it to men too.

"Most of the time" Ok so what about the times where it doesn't? I always see this argument presented with the rebuttable presumption that abstinence is something we should reasonably expect from the population of people who don't want children. People will have casual sex, accidents will happen. There should be a legal framework to provide choice to both parties AFTER the accident happens.
