1.) Not the same author, it may be published on the same site but it's not the same "source" - that entire study is filled with language that is simply suggestive, and has no causality proven whatsoever. Also, comparing vegans vs "standard Americans" introduces bias; those who are on strict eating regiments, like veganism, are more likely to exercise and practice healthy lifestyle habits overall, as opposed to those who just "eat whatever" - you'll need actual RCTs conducted to prove anything ou…

Sorry chief, this post is bunk. You've got no credibility to be giving dietary advice. Lots of psuedoscience. I'm all for low carb but it's been shown that most inflammatory markers improve simply by lowering calories and reducing bodyfat. You might have a food or two that doesn't agree with you, but nuking your gut with 100% saturated fat intake is going to destroy your gut microbiome, leaving you even more susceptible to whatever food sensitivities you had in the first place. Carnivore might w…

Neither do I chief. But skeletal muscle mass has a lot to do with aging well. You don't need to be swole god 5000, but having more muscle mass and less bodyfat will help a lot in the long run. Youtube videos of an n=1 experience are just as bad as the carnivore guys. Don't demonize meat for what the sugar and processed food did to people. The key takeaway is LESS processed crap, more real food. That means good, grass fed meats and local, in-season vegetables. Here's a very well composed study re…

Dude was overweight, probably didn't exercise, ate too much processed crap, and yet everyone blames the meat and only the meat for his death.

Never said you can't look good eating beans, but I wouldn't take nutritional advice from a known "doctor" who looks like that. Same as how I wouldn't take dietary advice from someone who is overweight. He looks like he's 60.

Higher nutrient density per calorie than meat? Chief I'm gonna need a source on that one. Protip: you're wrong

When I say this, do not take this as an insult. You need a reality check. Seems like you've never had a real financial struggle in your entire life. Go on a trip when you finish school before you start working. Hit some 3rd world countries. Do some crazy shit. You need fresh perspective.

Man, this is exactly why I feel you should have a solid N count and a few relationshits under your belt before going for LTR. He doesn't know any better. Omega bucks for sure if he's about to raise another man's children. You can try to help him but you might lose a friend in the process.

Depends. IMO, men should be thinking kids in early to mid 30s. 20s is still a lot of "me time" and establishing your future. TRP makes you aware of the dynamics between both sexes, so having kids with an LTR isn't completely unrealistic. Just choose a suitable LTR using the knowledge you've been given.

my Gf who I've let walk all over me for nearly the entire relationship (5 months), has become emotionally distant and refusing sex for about 2 months now. Dog, you've been with her for only 5 months and she's walking all over you? LOL I do trust this girl, and I don't believe she is cheating, I just think i somehow devalued myself as a sexual interest to her. If she hasn't yet, she's thinking about it. When my LTR tells me dudes hit on her, I always laugh and ask if they did a good job. The responses are generally "no haha he was super creepy/i told him i wasn't single" etc. Laugh it off. You being insecure about this is a total shit test, and if you break frame, it'll bite you in the ass in the long run.

I back this. Some thing are better left unsaid. You realized it, but don't blame the man that brought you into this world on his own time/money for the way you act now. Your father should (ideally) be the closest male figure for you in your life, alpha or beta. You are your own person with your own mind, and can make your own choices and act in ways you see fit. Blaming that on someone else is childish. Definitely apologize.

"The glass is already broken." Enjoy the ride. Your feelings about marriage might change. She's also very (cleverly) testing your frame. If you change your mind on the spot, you let her into your frame. Stay strong about your current decision, but also be open to a new mindset as you grow older. She sounds pretty mature to me. Also, learn from this. Never tell a girl your plans for marriage, whether it's to do it or to never do it.

Some shit is going to hurt in life. For you, for her, for anyone. You obviously know what needs to be done, so just tell her it's over. She's going to cry. She's going to branch swing within 2 weeks max. Meet up with her in public, sit down and just get to the point. You don't have to be a major dick to her, but be stern and don't let her manipulate.
/r/askTRP15/03/16 12:45 AM

Stop texting her. It should be used for planning only, not conversation. Example: "I'm going to get coffee at X cafe on Y day, feel free to tag along."

T1 diabetic here, been doing ketogenic for the last year. 70 lbs down, around 8lbs muscle gain, and my blood work shows that I'm pretty healthy. Fat is fine, processed "junk" carbs are bad.

Get yourself a job. Any job. Flipping burgers, janitor work, anything. Shit jobs suck, but they teach you valuable lessons that are better to learn early on in life rather than later. Be the best at it, regardless of what it is. You're going to have to apply just about everywhere man. It's hard to get a job without work experience, but it's definitely possible. Use the income from this job to pay for a gym membership, and start lifting. This will teach you discipline. Eat properly, count your ma…

That's a pretty normal thought for dudes just going into MM. Instead of looking at some type of end "XYZ" goal, look at it as a journey. There will always be room for improvement. During MM, you need to make serious changes and improvements, and once you come out of it, you can definitely dial things down a bit but still keep progressing in life, while reaping the benefits of your progress. It's going to be a long, painful process man.

Well don't beat yourself up over it, it's not fucking heroin. It's just a minor issue that will definitely affect your sex life in the long run. I think if you place less importance to it, it'll be easier to eliminate the habit. If you want daily sex, spin plates on some girls that aren't 10s. You might not get off with them like you would with the insane surge of dopamine the porn is giving you, but it'll satisfy you. Porn is a problem if you find yourself having a hard time getting hard in bed…

You don't need shit. Monk mode. Do it. You will come out of it a changed man, I promise. Wake up every morning and tell yourself "By the time I get back into bed tonight, I will have done at least 1 thing to improve myself." You're seeking validation from others via affection, which feels good in the moment, but is a great way to set yourself up for heartbreak when the people validating you decide to stop doing so. Stop concerning yourself with women for now, don't beat yourself up for not pulli…

Don't just read it, live it. I was literally in your shoes a year ago. 1 - Takes time 2 - Diet > Lifting, in the sense that if you nail your diet, your lifting will actually be effective and not a waste of time. 3 - Use your hobbies that you listed in bullet point 4 to acquire $$$ 4 - Good, but don't stop. Sounds like you need to monk mode, as your major issues are going to take a LOT of time to work on.

Don't find yourself with enough downtime to sit down and watch porn, simple as that. If you do, replace the activity with running, lifting, practicing a hobby, reading, etc. Go a week without beating off, and then when you do, do it without porn. Untrain your brain from using visual stimuli to get off.

Dude, what the fuck are you doing? Get out of her e-mail. "Sometimes" your oneitis kicks in? That's not oneitis, that's a violation of privacy. No wonder she said you didn't mature. You didn't mature either means you didn't work on any form of self-improvement or she just needs some kind of cop-out to justify the hypergamous hamster running her brain. Either way, it doesn't matter and you shouldn't be deriving self-improvement goals from someone else's capability of seeing the good in you. That …

Great post. As /u/trpfaust said, desire can be useful in ways. It is often a very strong force, and using it to your advantage can yield wonderful results. Knowing when your desire is fleeting and impermanent is crucial. Just don't let it be your source of happiness.

Shouldn't have suggested to remain contact, but rather cut it. Your expectations do not match hers, and you'll just find yourself constantly chasing her while you're friendzoned. Just walk away, there are many women out there who you can have a great connection with. You don't know if there is "something there", because clearly she doesn't even know what she wants. Cut your losses and move on.

Dude, very similar situation for me, but I actually went through with it. Here's my advice. This recent March, I finally decided to reply to my ex's 2 AM texts because I was fucking bored and pretty lonely, despite lifting and working on myself. We broke up because she cheated on me last year, relapsed on heroin causing her to miscarry my child, all in the timespan of 3 months.
