| 7 | Moving - was there anything you got for your new place to “soften the blow”?I got a dog, so I didn’t have to come home to an empty place the weeks I didn’t have my daughter. | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/06/25 02:58 AM |
| 12 | Men who took the first actionI initiated separation and was the one to file. We had an uncontested divorce. We were able to work through the issues ourselves. Mostly went fine. Had one child still at home that is in high school. She was angry with me at first. Then as time went on and mom started seeing others , she sort of switched the way she viewed situation. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/01/24 08:08 PM |
| 6 | Living alone for first time in 20 years.Ive been separated three months now. First time on my own ever. Met my wife when I was 17 on the second day of college, 38 years ago. And while we lived in the dorms while in college, we moved in together after graduation. It took a little getting used to at first. The worst for me for the first several weeks was right before leaving work and the first hour or so getting home to an empty apartment. But then the evening would never seem long enough to get everything i wanted to get done. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/01/23 06:30 AM |
