Moved to Austin but couldnt stand the population. Bought a house in a small red town 20 miles from Austin and my quality of life has gone up considerably. That said I don't need to commute to the city for work and if I did it would change how much I enjoyed my living situation.
I enjoy catching up from time to time. When the people you both have become are wildly lopsided in your favor I imagine it's better on the ego. I have always enjoyed fucking an ex years down the line with no commitment or new investment.
The military was the best thing I ever did with my life. I was always attached to combat arms so I only worked with men and I was able to experience some amazing things. Stay out of the military isn't good advice.

my rent went from 800 to 1300 from the time I started university to the time I graduated. I never want to live in a situation that my living expenses can go up like that on an annual bases again.
