I'm mature enough to admit that I need help.I had never thought about any of this. Great insights, thanks. | /r/TheRedPill | 03/12/16 07:40 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help.Certainly going to read it then. Thank you. | /r/TheRedPill | 03/12/16 07:37 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help. This is one of those things that I know I have to do, but I can't figure out...how. I have my hobbies: Thai boxing and scuba diving. Tons of fun, but both are sausage fests. Scuba, in particular, is an age 40+ sausage fest. So no luck there. The rest of times I go out, it's something specific like going hiking with a buddy or whatever. Other than nightlife (which I do as often as I can but it's still not much), in what other ways can I "go out"? Has anyone here had any luck with MeetUp.com? | /r/TheRedPill | 02/12/16 07:00 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help.Wow, depressing read but seems sadly accurate. Man, almost wish I hadn't read that now... | /r/TheRedPill | 02/12/16 06:57 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help.Jesus, dude. Response of the year. I'm saving this one. Thank you. | /r/TheRedPill | 02/12/16 06:52 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help.I generally agree. It's funny you should mention sex because Ive long since realized that actual sexual activity with a human female- the act itself- means absolutely nothing to me. More often than not I find myself wanting to just get it over with. Why? Because it's about validation, not physicality. It's about the notch on the belt, not the sex itself. You clearly already knew what I'm describing, of course. | /r/TheRedPill | 02/12/16 06:49 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help.Well the title is certainly promising! Did it help you? | /r/TheRedPill | 02/12/16 06:45 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help.I'm not a handsome man. I try to compensate with my other aspects. I think that's a noteworthy insight- to focus on tethering your self esteem to a concrete positive aspect of yourself. I suppose that would be a good place to start. I have plenty of things about myself which I can relate positive emotions toward. My only challenge in that regard is that they aren't the kind of things women like. For example, I'm pretty funny, but I only generally succeed in making other guys laugh. | /r/TheRedPill | 02/12/16 06:44 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help.I hear you. And I've digested a lot of the sidebar by now, but I haven't found much that relates specifically to my problem as I've described it here. How do I not feel so unworthy? I see plenty of content about the importance of maintaining a positive frame of mind about yourself- which is a crucial thing, no doubt- but I don't know how to actually get there. | /r/TheRedPill | 02/12/16 06:40 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help.That was a long time ago. I don't lift anymore. | /r/TheRedPill | 02/12/16 06:38 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help.I read all the rules and all the new member shit. Starting to delve into some of the external links now. It's pretty comprehensive and all makes good sense- I've actually seen much of it in other verbiage via other sources in the past. | /r/TheRedPill | 01/12/16 09:10 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help.My concern is that I know for a fact this isn't a low "point." It's been a gradual 5 or 6 year-long slide that's brought me to this point. Think of it not like peaks and valleys, but rather a single, gradually but continuously, downward sloping curve. That's an interesting parallel to be drawn between the anticipation of a worst fear and the act of facing it itself. However, there's no fear involved with my dilemma, other than that what-if-I-die-alone existential dread. I'm not nervous around wo… | /r/TheRedPill | 01/12/16 09:08 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help.1 rep bench max = 185. 1 rep squat max = 290. Those are the best ones I can remember. From 2005 and 2012 respectively. | /r/TheRedPill | 01/12/16 08:57 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help.If you're so convinced that lifting weights- not triathlons, not professional fighting, not Olympic swimming- but lifting and nothing other than lifting is an absolute, irreplaceable, chiseled-in-stone prerequisite to developing a healthy sense of self-worth...then you're not the guy I want to be taking advice from. Thanks for your time. | /r/TheRedPill | 01/12/16 08:55 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help.Posted. Can we talk now? Or do you have some more to get out of your system? | /r/TheRedPill | 01/12/16 08:34 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help.I lifted regularly for years. Used to be pretty yoked. Weights are terrific. Just not my thing anymore. | /r/TheRedPill | 01/12/16 08:28 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help.I'm reading the sidebar now. I spent years lifting and it bores me. I find boxing more fun and rewarding, and I'm in the best shape of my life. | /r/TheRedPill | 01/12/16 08:25 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help. Why? Not trying to be difficult, but I notice a definite theme around here about lifting. Am I missing something under the surface here? (and yes, I'm reading all the sidebar stuff right now...) I grew bored of lifting years ago but I really love boxing/Thai boxing. Mostly because it's more social and develops body as well as mind. | /r/TheRedPill | 01/12/16 08:13 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help.Alright well this sidebar shit is a fuckton of reading. In the meanwhile can you just tell me what sin I've committed while I work my way through all this? Is it a rule to include your weightlifting maxes whenever you post or something? | /r/TheRedPill | 01/12/16 08:10 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help. Not offended. I'm not patting myself on the back either- I was trying to preempt the inevitable sneering condescension which, as I can see, is already here. | /r/TheRedPill | 01/12/16 08:02 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help.I don't lift. I do Thai boxing 4-5 days a week. Edit: reviewing it now... | /r/TheRedPill | 01/12/16 07:52 AM
I'm mature enough to admit that I need help.I'm on mobile so I can't see the sidebar. grateful for the response but I'm not sure what you're asking. | /r/TheRedPill | 01/12/16 07:20 AM
