Whenever research does come out on the subject, it seems to suggest that all the stuff you can inherit from your father (height, build, wit/reflexes) is the exact set of stuff women care about. Everything they don't care about (general intelligence, personality) meanwhile is inherited from the mother. I was not aware of that, but it makes perfect sense given our sexual dimorphism.

I'm 23. I am right with you on that, and I'm going monk. I doesn't get easier and will not subside until we get in our 30s and our libidos start dropping. What helps me though, is hanging out with close male friends doing mindless stuff (videogames, pool, table tennis) and diving deep into my hobbies. I figure if I can master monk mode right now when my hormones are raging, by 30 I'll be like Gandalf or something.
