Not sure if this counts as an example, but the first thing that came to my mind would be those news headlines when a teacher rapes a kid - and instead of just saying how it is the headline will be like “Young teacher seduces her student and they have sex” - like bruh that’s a whole damn adult and child

Just an unrelated comment, but your descriptions are so hilarious and I had a vivid image of all those characters in my head LOL

Of course those guests are nothing like regular people. If they invited normal people on the show, they’d have nothing to clip - they would just be talking about the weather the whole time!

Yeah idk for me it’s not that serious I just thought it was a cool pattern that people noticed. Didn’t realise people were so quick to get huffy about it lol

That’s why we should all look at the glass as half empty 😎

Yeah it’s like settling! But it had a specific name i can’t remember exactly what it’s called, but I just added it here because I saw a video of someone saying it’s a BS concept

Not sure if my opinion is unpopular, but personally I do believe in the phenomenon that “the guy marries the second girl, not the first”. It just makes a lot of sense to me and we have seen it happen in practice.

Just adding on as a little throwback, all the female characters in Avatar the Last Airbender are super cool as well! They were able to make genuinely loveable and interesting girl characters without feeling forced or shallow. I really recommend the show even for those who don’t really like cartoons!

I think it’s kinda like a blessing in disguise for both parties involved. If you turn away a potential partner for this reason, then you can focus on finding someone that more aligns with your values (same with the other person)

But in a way, if someone that had come from one of these rough hardships and were able to persevere turning their life around - that’s kinda a green flag too! It shows they worked very hard and it’s very moving to hear stories about getting through troubling times.

Thanks for your explanation about masking as well! Maybe they might benefit if there were special programs or classes that help with these sorts of social skills - although I am aware that masking can be quite exhausting and that these classes could be seen as encouraging masking which leads to burn out.

Interesting topic. Should autistic males be expected to mask as hard as autistic females?

As a retail worker I enjoyed reading your post and it was a funny read for sure! Unfortunately, horrible customers that act like Karen’s can look like anything (they can even be dudes!) so it’s not really predictable and anyone has the capacity to be horrible to nice workers just trying their best.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
