If the mortgage is under both names, she will need to refinance it under her name. In my state, a QCD may be executed prior to divorce finalization. Probably a good idea to ask your lender or your title company.

Unfortunately in my state, the man is asked to leave even if he files the restraining order. The woman & kids get to remain in the house.

Thanks, even though it is legal to have secret/pinhole cameras in common areas of the house, installation professionals refuse to install them. Looks like I’ll just need to do it when she’s gone for the day.

Unfortunately, in the court’s eyes, men are to blame for everything in divorce cases. I feel for you, and it’s a real possibility I’m heading towards a similar situation. Multiple lives negatively impacted - no more than kids.

I am already seeing a therapist, first meeting in a couple days. She doesn’t believe in therapy - she claims the heart knows it all and therapy can’t help, and it’s like throwing money and time away.

Exact same situation as mine. I’m just shocked how one human being can be so mean to another human being in such a way. Perhaps I’m just naive & look for the good in people, past faults.
