Divorce made us strongerDraw strength, but not through a parallel of a person who resents someone else to this day. That’s not healthy. Is he stronger, for sure, totally agree. Don’t have the victim mentality. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/08/25 05:37 PM
Divorce made us strongerWow, this reeks of a bot. The election process of the American president have nothing to do with a divorce. That guy ruined his life with terrible choices. She is dealing with her own stuff. Your personal experience is a completely different context. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/08/25 04:37 PM
Ex showed up with her new boyfriend to drop off our sonI’ve only read the first post, but anyone who feels the need to tell you about that has something to prove. Something to show. You’re better off, IMO. Just be confident, as you should be given your a father who does what he can for his son. Also, as a car guy myself, real car people know the same thing you’re feeling, including myself. They are humble people if they’re genuine. Car people are geeks, in fact. Vehicles someone holds too close can cause issues in the relationship. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/03/25 11:10 PM
Well the Shit Hit the FanThis is the best advice. Let the son call her or something at the very least. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/02/25 03:50 PM
Please help. Some other things to think about, it’s probably too early for her as well to really be invested in someone else. Seems almost like it could be her showing it off, but I guarantee like others said, if that is true it will affect her just as much when you find someone new. The thing is, it shouldn’t be about hurting the other person or showing them you’ve still got it. People should just genuinely pursue their happiness whenever and with whoever that is. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/08/24 02:04 PM
Divorce guidance w/out legalThis is something I’ve heard from close family and friends. To find therapy, I just didn’t realize it was this lopsided in terms of how they might treat women vs men. What you said about therapists often siding with women seems true. Ironically, I feel like I’ve been abandoned or treated badly by many women in my life. So unbiased is what I need. Any advice for how to find the right therapist that would truly approach this from an unbiased perspective? | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/08/24 02:17 PM
Divorce guidance w/out legalThis is exactly my concern, wasting $35k in legal fees that could go to our kids college education. | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/08/24 08:36 PM
Divorce guidance w/out legalI will do that, this sounds like good advice. My concern is that if she lawyers up, won’t I be responsible for both her and my legal fees? | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/08/24 08:36 PM
Divorce guidance w/out legalThis is basically what I want to do. Keep the house for our kids and to keep things consistent. I dont think she can afford the house on her own with her current car payment though…. So I feel like I would need to take over the mortgage. | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/08/24 08:33 PM
Divorce guidance w/out legalAbout 250k me, 100k her, 14 years approx | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/08/24 08:29 PM
Any happy stories of reconciliation later in lifeAn old coworker of mine went through a horrible divorce with his wife and some years later they did eventually reconcile. Nothing is impossible | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/08/24 02:16 PM
