You don’t explain what you mean or how to do it. How is that helpful advice? Go where? Socialize with who? Men can go out and socialize and still not encounter an available women looking to date.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/23 08:38 PM

If you’ve met 100s of them they aren’t unique. It doesn’t sound like they are memorable either as that is reserved for a handful of people. And if any of them wanted to date you they will need to be attractive as mentioned.

No I do it observe this. Anyone constantly going from one relationship to another is not some average guy. There are some average guys who get in a relationship and cling to it because they know how difficult it would be to find another. Any guys who can constantly pick up a relationship whenever they please either has top tier attractiveness or status. Average guys constantly being in relationships is nothing I’ve ever observed.

You are ignoring other issues such as height or attractiveness that can make them unlivable and jumping straight to personality being the issue. This also assumes “fixing” their personality will now attract women when it may not create attraction at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/23 06:16 PM

So what should men be doing to find dates that is more efficient than dating apps?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/23 03:28 PM
1

What’s their purpose of doing this? I think there’s a bit of truth to it. At a bar they can’t control if the men they deem unattractive interact with them. On dating apps they can. I think they prefer apps as a way to completely shut out the men they deem unattractive which is such a high amount it can only be done on apps.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/23 03:26 PM

If women prefer apps wouldn’t that mean there are more women there giving men a better chance?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/23 03:20 PM

Sounds like dating apps are the #1 option to go to now.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/23 02:47 PM

What’s the difference between a guy getting your number at a bar and texting for a few weeks vs matching with a guy on a dating app and texting him for a few weeks?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/23 02:44 PM

If you’re using a dating app you don’t know anything about them or their intentions. Same with meetin guys at parties. So you’re saying you don’t want them to approach you but you want to approach them?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/23 02:11 PM

In 2010 no, I could see it. In 2023 yes it’s hard to imagine.

This is pretty much the change I’m talking about and thanks for being reasonable

It doesn’t sound like you’ve been involved modern dating. It’s changed drastically since 2015 or so when dating apps became prominent. I developed my views from experience and they have all been in line with what I’ve described. I don’t know what power or leverage you think men have but the culture has completely changed. If you’re trying to convince me that things have not at all turned in women’s favor I can’t even say I’ve heard that argued to me before. They at least admit it to some extent.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 10:14 PM
1

This is not something I can remedy. This is what modern dating is. I don’t have the luxury of choosing out of a list of several options. It’s this or nothing. At one point men did have the power in the relationship. We aren’t in that time anymore. It’s not what men are blamed for it’s that they are blamed period as the default response without the context mattering. It’s not about what women should be blamed for either it’s that there are excuses made to justify them whenever they’ve done someth…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 09:03 PM

I think the difference here is that men will admit there is truth to this. Where women will deny height is a factor. You get the “it’s all about personality” or “as long as he’s taller than me” excuse to prevent sounding shallow and deny this is an issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 08:39 PM
21

I’m actually amazed that 2 inches between 5”8 and 5”10 will determine whether 14% or 50% of women will reject you. I’m sure this will be denied and downplayed as not being an issue seeing as that’s tradition here.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 08:35 PM
1

Your response is representative of the new trend. You’re saying men are causing most societal issues. It’s easy to blame them and yes it is because everyone will support you doing it. When an issue arises it’s assumed it’s his fault. Women have leverage now with having so many options. If that man isn’t doing exactly what she wants he’s replaced instantly. Most men don’t have that leverage or power. They don’t have the power of being a provider anymore either. I don’t see any power they have at …

What happened in the past is not happening today. What current events have blamed women? I don’t follow that story too closely but from what I’ve seen Pinkett cheated on Will and publicly announced it then received some backlash. What issue did she face other than embarrassment which she didn’t seem to be at all? When I say they receive default support I’m talking about current events not the past. The Brittany spear’s incident where she was assumed to be in the right by default until the video …
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 04:14 PM

You’re speaking historically which is constantly done here. We aren’t talking about the 1940s. No one here was dating then or experienced those issues. We’re talking about right now. Most of these aren’t issues anymore. When it comes to relationships you will get the benefit of the doubt every time even if you’re wrong. You have complete control of the dating market and default support from society now.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 02:04 PM

This was a response to the multiple comments about all of the reasons they would know not date someone for not just this one. What an assumption it would be to think I’m trying to excuse or defend a messy room. If I wanted to do that I would have said it and made it clear. You could have asked but you instead jumped to assumptions.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 08:50 PM

Again have you been in a relationship before? Have broken up with someone? If so why did you?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 06:49 PM

Ok we get it you have everything figured out perfectly before entering a relationship. Have you ever had a relationship end? Why did it end?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/23 06:17 PM

I’m guessing you have plenty of guys who want you so I could get why it doesn’t make sense from your perspective. I also don’t think this totally solves the problem. But if you’re depraved of intimacy and could pay to experience it in some way it seems understandable. Even if it’s just for a short time.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 07:57 PM

Then how does the friend zone not exist? Isn’t this the flip side of this situation where the guy thinks it will happen when it’s actually not happening?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 06:49 PM
7

This is why the friendzone exists. Guys given hope that they can eventually get their friend to fall for them if they wait long enough. Being told it’s natural and normal. They hear the story like this one about friends falling in love thinking it can happen to them.

When the options are become one of the archetypes that they find attractive or be alone guys aren’t going to chose being alone. You’re telling me to do what makes me happy at the expense of being able to have a relationship. It sucks not being able to pursue your own goals or desires I get that part of it you’re describing but guys are really fucked in each path and at some point you are going to desire being in a relationship and have to put your own need’s aside while you try to fit into one o…

Reddit seems to think it’s ok so it must be right?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 03:58 PM

Men have to conform to what women find attractive. They control the dating market and set the requirements. Guys cannot just do what they want to do and expect to find a relationship. They need to do what women approve of. They set the ultimatum such as these and men need to follow.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 03:51 PM
1

Not the guy you responded to but no. There is no accountability on your end anymore in modern dating. It’s going to be blamed on the guy and you’ll be supported in doing so even if you were wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 03:47 PM
-1

It’s pretty normal to want a relationship. If women are mainly dating certain archetypes then men are going to do what they can to fit that role so they can also succeed. You’re saying to do what makes them happy and is fulfilling without a relationship when being in a relationship and desired by women may be what makes them happy and fulfilled while being alone does not.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 02:14 PM

It may not always be scouting as the sole purpose but men are looking to at least interact with women in some way. That’s why they party. There is a reason that clubs let women in for free. The men will follow because that’s who they’re chasing and who they are going out for.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 01:55 PM

Somewhat but a experiencing success alone isn’t ideal.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/23 01:48 PM

Why do you think it is that they don’t admit this? I see them claim men aren’t successful in dating because they treat them like objects but in reality this isn’t preventing success.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 08:13 PM
1

True. I guess this is just one of those things they will do but never admit.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 07:42 PM
1

So it’s ok to treat them as objects as long as you’re exciting, not needy and don’t make them the center of attention or depend on them for happiness?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 07:35 PM
2

They conveniently ignore it from the right guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 07:31 PM

What do you have to say about the people here who constantly spam how it’s guy’s bad personality that is the issue? Your story disproves all of this
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 07:30 PM
8

Does this not sound narcissistic? There is no man good enough for them so they refuse to date anymore? No man is compatible with them?
/r/AllPillDebate06/07/23 06:31 PM
1

So what got them there was negative experiences that prevented social growth. But I don’t see how this part was a choice. I do see the other piece you mentioned about choosing not to realize or fix this. What is the work you’re expecting to be put in and is this something you’ve fixed or seen someone fix? If someone is socially stunted how would they realize this and how would they know this is the issue among other potential setbacks?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 05:45 PM

What are the choices that got them there?

When I say it’s exactly what you’re doing it’s in response to you claiming I’m twisting what you said which isn’t needed because it’s clear. Please try to keep up. What I expect is an actual discussion with someone who’s capable of breaking down their reasoning. I expected too much as you’re not capable of the most basic level of discussion and nothing insightful is coming from you. You’re on a discussion sub but scared to discuss an actual topic and mad that someone has questioned you. The only…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 01:25 PM

Why support the liar with the excuse that it was obvious or he should have known? Instead you place the blame on the guy who was lied to for giving her the benefit of the doubt. Really it’s probably more likely they are lying when discussing these topics but I’m not faulting the guy for trying to hear her out.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 03:32 AM
1

That is exactly what you’re doing. You also agreed and your excuse for doing so is “people do it all the time”. I asked you what you expect these guys to do. You responded by saying they should shut the fuck up. Then proceeded to claim that after telling them that you will debunk their “claims” and convince them they should want other things besides sex. This doesn’t answer what these guys should be doing by your standards to get you to stop complaining about them.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 01:06 AM

What’s weak about this? I don’t see being undesirable equal to being weak.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/23 08:17 PM

I’ve seen many women here and outside of here admit that being average isn’t enough. That men have to stand out and be successful. Being a regular dude is not enough anymore. I’ve seen it said a million times that being kind is the bare minimum. This isn’t going to be arousing women.

How dare you compare me to a fish!
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/23 07:35 PM
1

The root in the analogy is that the fish wouldn’t give you helpful advice. Not necessarily the reason why. And you say you do want to date men from you’re perspective but it sometimes feels quite the opposite when you are on the other side. It may not be the reality in every situation but it can feel that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/23 06:17 PM

You don’t have an answer and never gave one. You had yet another chance to explain your views and chose to run back to the articulate response of “shut the fuck up”. Yet another going for the tough guy role. That’s not an answer. If it was you wouldn’t be here daily complaining. And no this is not me saying sex is the only meaning to life as you’re trying to twist this to be. It’s me calling out your bs answer to avoid having to actually discuss what you want as an outcome. It’s the bs portrayal…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/23 05:55 PM

That’s exactly what you’re saying. You try to hide it by giving some generic bs answer like anyone is going to fall for that. I asked you what you expect out of these guys you’re complaining about and your only answer is them to “shut the fuck up” in an attempt to dodge the question. Then you give some bs about how you tell guys there’s more to life than sex. You’re probably not going to be able to dictate what they want out of life. You can’t just tell them to shut the fuck up and desire other …
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/23 05:10 PM
1

Let me make this simple. You telling men they shouldn’t desire sex does nothing. They are still going to desire it. It’s not an excuse it’s what men want and you have no place in telling them what they should or shouldn’t want. I can tell women they shouldn’t desire tall men. They will proceed to want tall men. You don’t get to tell others what they want and enjoy. It’s. It not going to work. But please continue to waste your time.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/23 04:46 PM

I don’t think there are designated people or any structure there to actively recruit and convince others to believe them. Guys have negative dating experiences irl which lead them to share similar outlooks and search for solutions for similar problems. They don’t need to be recruited or found or convinced.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/23 04:27 PM
1

Unfortunately you probably aren’t going to be able to tell men what they should or shouldn’t desire. Especially when they are biologically wired to desire it. But you’re welcome to try.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/23 03:57 PM
1

How is telling them to shut the fuck up going to resolve or debunk anything? You have about 1000 comments on this thread complaining about men so I’m asking what do you want out of them. What are you trying to accomplish? Just getting them to stop talking?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/23 03:38 PM
2

So you’re response to these men who are struggling with dating and loneliness is to “shut the fuck up”. How is that going to solve this? Will hostile responses like this not drive them even further towards these influencers?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/23 03:06 PM

What do you want these guys to do? And why are you upset about it?

What do women want then?

You specifically are not responsible but you’re receiving the outcome. They’ve made it unacceptable for men to approach now unless these men are pre approved in some way.

If you don’t know any successful mothers who have been promoted I really don’t know what to tell you because there are plenty and I’ve never seen that stop any of them from succeeding. I’m sure it’s not easy but most mothers still have time for work. It’s 2023 not 1950. In the past that probably happened. Now I don’t see that. These are not all physical jobs anymore. Impossible at times. At times. Meaning there will be some situations where there are no options available for you to potentially date no matter how hard you try. Please understand this does not mean dating is completely impossible as you’re attempting to twist it into meaning. When someone says “at times” it means there are some situations where this happens. Not all. I love how you completely ignored everything else in the comment but focused on the one piece you either don’t understand or poor…

Like in the context of you saying it. I’m going off what you said about your current partner being the best and then saying you see it all around you. How is it that they are all dating someone currently who is better than all of their exes in every way possible? I’m more inclined to believe the original comment that said it’s less about them being the best but more of finding them at the right time.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/23 08:00 PM
2

Like anything at all. Is it simply a coincidence that the current man they are dating is the absolute best in all areas compared to their exes? Is the next guy they date going to be better in all areas than the one they’re dating now ? How is every new guy better than the last?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/23 07:47 PM

No YOU said you are disadvantaged. I was never the one to claim this. YOU did. You brought this up. What I did was ask you to list any example of how and received none.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/23 07:07 PM
7

Oppressed? This is a word that is found nowhere in my original comment. Not a good job of twisting words. The word was advantaged. Which you brought up first. Not interested in feminist books. Now can you list any example of how you are disadvantaged? Again if I’m supposed to be benefiting I’d like to know how because I’m wasting it by not knowing what the benefits are.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/23 06:39 PM

Men don’t typically have a roster of women where they can afford to designate one to different areas as women do. Nor do they have women lined up for them where they can choose to sleep with some now while others wait. I don’t see them doing the same thing at all based on your examples.

This action isn’t followed up in reality. If this had 250k upvotes the men doing this would date her or someone who looked like her if the opportunity was present to them. My only guess is that this happens as a way to prevent women’s egos from getting out of control by combating the massive praise and worship they receive online.

He’s talking about dating. So is everyone else. No one is bringing up life struggles or claiming how bad they have it outside of dating. Sadly you are confining his point. From what you’ve described it would be much more preferable to date someone who at least tries to be the perfect wife. Even if it’s for financial support with there supposedly being a potential real man from their culture on the side. This is compared to dating western women who are concerned with vapid and delusional things a…

Because it is much harder for men. Impossible at times. I thought we were past the point of even trying to argue that it’s not. If you’ve ever tried dating someone with a large social media following I promise you wouldn’t be commenting here to say this. In reality this isn’t going to stop men from dating these women. It’s just a red flag they will ignore because they’ve become so desperate and date whoever they can.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/23 01:57 PM

Your describing a situation where you’re dating someone who desires these “exciting” bad guys but dates the good guy instead knowing he’s better for her. Sadly you’re going to be dating someone who desires other men and this likely leads to cheating and arguments from everything I’ve seen. They aren’t capable of suppressing those feelings. Even knowing these guys are no good they’ll do it anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/23 01:46 PM

Changing the entirety of who you are as an attempt to impress a women has always rubbed me the wrong way. And it’s to be what they think is fun and exciting not what you actually enjoy. Most guys are already doing what they feel is fun and exciting. Also when the so-called unattractive guy becomes assertive and confident they get pissed.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/23 01:41 PM

The point is not that we need to get the answer out of them. I can observe their behavior to find that out. The point is that OP is correct in that while they may not always deny it they try to avoid admitting their physical preference in an attempt to seem “sophisticated” as he put it or less shallow as I see it.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/23 12:21 AM
2

That was an example of what happens if they do have to answer. Not the point which you missed nor the main focus of what was said. Nothing was retracted. I said “It’s not mentioned at all or avoided” That was the main point. The answer of a generic response was an example of what they may say if they can’t avoid it which was the only piece you retained unfortunately. Again that’s not the point. Let’s slow this down then. No they avoid the topic by not bringing it up it at all. If you ask what they like in a man looks will not be in the answer. You aren’t going to hear she likes taller attractive guys because she isn’t going to bring it up. If looks are pressed and they can’t avoid the question then you’ll hear the generic answers but you can’t seem to get past this part so please ignore it. The point is that they don’t mention looks at all. It is omitted from their discussion on dating…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/23 11:26 PM

I know you’re eager to defend them but you’re skipping over the point. It’s not always that they deny caring about looks. They avoid the topic and try not to reveal it at all. That way they can claim they never denied it while at the same time accomplishing their attempt to not appear shallow by hiding the importance they place on looks. They don’t want you to be able to say they denied it and they also don’t want to admit it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/23 11:16 PM

So if I’m lifting heavy are women supposed to care? Because I don’t think they got the memo. I may need to show them this post so they start to give a fuck. At least guys give some compliments here and there so that’s always nice.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/23 11:04 PM

It’s not always a denial. It’s not mentioned at all or avoided. To appear they aren’t shallow. Ask her what she looks for in a man she’ll name everything but the physical aspects or very basic generic physical aspects
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/23 10:56 PM

If we’re assuming all of the men who get left were just sticking with someone they don’t like because they are lazy. But I don’t think guys would be too upset if someone they don’t even like leaves them.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/23 08:32 PM

Yes the burden falls on men to keep the woman happy and to fix the problems when she’s unhappy. He’s responsible for continuing to meet that laundry list of obligations or she’ll leave. She doesn’t really need to fix anything or do much for him when she can easily leave and replace him and use that as leverage. So again I don’t think the ones saying this are cheaters who did wrong. It’s probably those guys who put in effort to get everything right but still got left.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/23 08:30 PM
2

Women have a long list of what they consider a good reason to leave. Men have a much shorter list. So women are generally more likely to leave which is a large part of what drives quotes and ideas about how they aren’t faithful. Just the fact of them leaving not really why. The women checks out and is done while the man still has feelings so naturally the man is going to feel wronged. You list cheating but there are plenty of other reasons that are debatable. I don’t think cheaters are arguing t…

Ok communication matters. So what is this post trying to prove? It’s possible a guy cheated and caused her to leave but most likely if a woman leaves the relationship it was her decision and not the man making an undeniably bad decision like cheating.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/23 06:37 PM
5

I don’t think the whole fuss about women leaving relationships is because of them doing it to men who cheated on them. When I’ve seen this displayed it’s because of them being more likely to leave relationships over small petty grievances they have or leaving guys who technically didn’t do anything wrong but she just got bored with him.

I’m also not going to keep going back and forth with you because I don’t have the time sit on this sub commenting on every post 12 hours a day like you do.

How many times have you just boasted to me about how you “call out losers”? How many times have you said the word “loser”. But you’re the “real ass motherfucker”. You want to play the tough guy role so bad. Just lift bro. As if no one else has been to the gym before. Anyone who goes around calling everyone a loser is implying they are better than them.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 05:24 PM

Nothing said was even really an insult. It’s literally me describing and outlining your actions on this sub and why they don’t make you better than anyone else like you boast you are. If you feel insulted you should probably re-evaluate your behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 04:55 PM

You aren’t saying shit to or about me. I come here to discuss and hear viewpoints on dating which is what the sub is for. The only losers on this situation are the ones who come to pick on others to feel tough. The only thing to laugh at here is the you coming here thinking you have any ground to call other people losers. The irony of someone glued to Reddit for 12 hours a day thinking that’s it’s everyone else who is the loser. I’m not trying to stop you I couldn’t if I wanted to. You talk abou…

I was told here on this sub that average men with “personality” get woman all the time and that men not being able to pull regularly was just internet talk. What do you say in response to them?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 04:23 PM

I don’t think you even understand. Even if someone was a loser. I’m not going to spend hours online trying to seek them out, rub it in their face, and “laugh” at them. I’m not here trying to kick others while they’re down. That’s one of the weakest things you can do. Let alone brag about.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 04:16 PM

Yes you care a lot. Which is why you’re so bent on calling everyone a loser. If you didn’t care you wouldn’t say cringe shit like this. Normal people don’t run around calling everyone a loser. Do you even have an argument? Or are you just content with sitting on Reddit the next 12 hours looking for guys to call losers while you’re a “real ass mother fucker”.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 04:02 PM

Yeah man you’re a “real ass mother fucker” because you talk shit to people on the internet who have done nothing to you and spend all your time posting on Reddit. But they are the losers. 🤣 The only thing I don’t like is that you genuinely think this makes you cool.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 03:40 PM

So these are “losers” who think they have balls while you’re the courageous one for coming online to pick on guys who are struggling while they are down and the cool one for constantly scrolling this sub every day looking for them?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 03:25 PM

Dude is commenting on this sub nonstop 24/7 bragging about hookups he had in the 90s but everyone else is a loser right?

Most men can’t get women? What do you mean by this?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 02:51 PM

I don’t think anyone hates them but they say they wouldn’t date them. The deadbeats are mentioned constantly on fem subs like TwoX.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/23 04:43 PM

Can you tell me what “effort” it is that guys are not putting forth? And what a schlubby guy is?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/23 01:16 PM

I don’t see frustration as being the cause of dating failures. I see it as being a result of those failures. And I’m not sure how we got into this but if women are supposed to be coming to me when I’m good at something they may have missed the memo because I’m pretty sure they could care less. That’s great to be good at something for you but I’m not expecting to impress anyone. I’d call this whole situation anything but simple. From your perspective possibly it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/23 07:24 PM

Please explain how someone venting their frustration about dating online is preventing them from getting laid? Are you assuming they start venting before asking them out?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/23 05:01 PM

That’s how you met them in the past but how are you meeting anyone now where those situations are less common? Or are you content with everyone you’ve already met and don’t plan on adding anyone new?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/23 04:01 PM

This needs to be told to those who say watching it is the cause of dating problems. Most guys know its actually the result of the problems.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/23 01:51 PM

How do you meet people if you don’t talk to anyone you don’t already know?

So you’re basically giving insecurity as an excuse as to why they are lazy and entitled. Not that they aren’t lazy and entitled.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/23 04:04 PM

They don’t..
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/23 03:20 PM

It’s possible to only like going out single but going out while in a relationship changes the dynamic and may no longer be enjoyable because at that point you have to be alert watching out for other guys and can’t really relax with that added pressure. When you ask why dudes aren’t going out with them they probably are for the most part but you aren’t going to go every single time. Sometimes it’s a girls night and you don’t fit in.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/23 08:31 PM

You can’t follow her to every single night out she has. There are going to be times they go out and you don’t. If you don’t like it you’ll be called insecure and controlling so you can’t really stop it from happening. You might expect her to stop the clubbing since she’s now in a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/23 07:41 PM

It’s a line of defense. It’s reasonable in reality but their way of defending it is devaluing the preference by calling it insecure. Like if a guy goes around calling them insecure for wanting to date guys taller than him to help boost his value as someone who isn’t tall how ridiculous would it sound?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/23 07:31 PM

Well we said we don’t care about this element of looks. Well we don’t care about these physical attributes. We said sometimes looks don’t matter but not all the time. We only said looks aren’t everything. You’re just slow you don’t understand us. Any other excuses? The mental gymnastics are entertaining at least. This all goes back to pushing the same general idea of downplaying the importance in looks. It’s said in many different ways other than the exact phrase of looks don’t matter at all. Ju…

If an unattractive guy is trying to date a woman. You tell him “looks don’t matter you can still date her” or “look’s aren’t everything you can still date her” what is the difference between what he’s being told? This is the context it’s used in. Not looks don’t matter at all at any point and have no impact whatsoever. They both imply the same general concept that he can overcome this. That he can date despite his looks. They are just worded differently.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 04:10 PM

You’ve just went from admitting there are outliers saying they don’t care about looks back to claiming you’ve never heard a woman say that. Really this has NEVER been said? You’re so focused on the exact wording of the phrase when it’s all the same concept. Looks don’t matter. Look’s aren’t the only thing that matters. Looks don’t always matter. We said looks don’t matter but it’s obviously common sense they do so we didn’t actually say it. You’re going to the extreme of “well we never said that…

You should tell the people on this thread saying that no one has ever said this before. They are the ones who don’t acknowledge these women. I’m saying they are out there and do say this. I’m not making any claims of them lying right now. I’m only stating that yes women do say this. According to this thread every woman cares about looks and has never stated otherwise so you aren’t arguing with me I think you’re problem is with all of these other comments here.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 02:17 PM

That doesn’t mean they are gaslighting me in this instance but where are they now? When this topic is brought up they are nowhere to be found in this thread but if I say looks are important here come all the “outliers” to call me shallow and tell me I have a shit personality. My main issue is the many people here commenting that no one says this. I’m saying there are plenty women who say this. You’ve even acknowledged this. My point is these women exist and do say this but no one in these commen…

It did not stop them from dating therefore it does not matter. It only matters of it prevents them from reaching their end goal. If guys reach their end goal of dating they don’t give a fuck if it was harder or not they only care that they got there. This is all beside the point. Guys are frequently suggested in some form that looks don’t matter and directed back to personality. Women rarely if ever admit looks are the largest determining factor in who they date and would not straight up admit t…

If you want to say looks don’t matter sometimes or we said it but it’s obvious it isn’t true so you should have just known that’s fine. I only prefer it’s not denied to have ever been said. I’m not concerned with the reason of it being said.

If you are telling someone they can still date despite being unattractive you are sending the message that looks don’t matter. You can give me the reasons of why you say it but there are people here denying that this is ever said because the exact words looks don’t matter aren’t what comes out.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/23 10:42 PM

No one here mentioned that you will have the same success rate regardless of looks. No one denies they have a flaw. They tell you that you can still succeed and date despite having this flaw. And you’re still feeding me the common sense trope as your little insult because I’m sure you don’t like getting called out. Yes I know what they are telling me is bullshit. You’re giving the same message regardless of how you word it. It’s that you can overcome your looks as if other areas can compensate for them such as personality. If you can overcome looks then they don’t matter. You still got to your end goal without them. I just gave you a prime example of how this is implied. If a guy struggling with dating asked you for advice you’re going to tell him he’s not attractive so he can’t because looks matter? No he’s going to get fed some bs about how he’s a grea…

There isn’t much difference from looks don’t matter and looks don’t matter much. You’re still telling men they can overcome their looks to get the woman they want. Instead of saying looks don’t matter outright you get comments like this implying you can still succeed despite your looks if you are cool and funny in this instance. “Yep I met a guy my first year in grad school who was likewise pushing 400 lbs, though I couldn't judge if he was ugly or not, its been awhile but for sure he had a girl…

You’re acting like I’m confused or have been fooled trying to figure out it look’s matter or not. That’s not it. You’re saying “that’s not a thing that people actually say” then give examples of how it has been said to you. It is something that people say a lot and it may not always be phrased in the exact words of looks don’t matter.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/23 08:10 PM
5

It’s usually not in those exact words. Have you ever heard the response along the lines of “it’s all about personality”. when asked what types of guys she likes? It’s much more subtle.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/23 07:46 PM

I don’t know I’m letting them decide that because I don’t want to argue what is and isn’t. I was more focused on the ex receiving better treatment and how they would react. Apparently they don’t care
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 11:37 PM

I’m not I’m rephrasing the question because if you ask using the example of an expensive date they’ll deflect to say they don’t care about expensive dates so it doesn’t matter. Asking it this way helps get a more direct answer and less likely for them to avoid the question.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 11:31 PM

If you ask Reddit they’ll be happy to tell you it’s because men suck. And yes you have those friends for platonic needs along with the roster for intimacy or validation. You’re not actually alone. You’re still getting all of your needs met from multiple people instead of one. A lot here try to paint it as if they are doing everything on their own or sacrificing something.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 11:28 PM
1

It’s funny because no one used the word single but you. This was already addressed in the previous comments but you’ve skipped ahead to the shitting on men part and missed it.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 11:17 PM

So you’re ok with him treating his ex better than you?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/23 09:46 PM
8

It’s just the trendy thing to say on Reddit now. Pretend that being alone is some badge of honor that means they are tough while shitting on men by implying it’s better to be alone than with them as if we are so terrible they can’t bear being around us. Like you said they are most likely not actually alone. They have a roster they can call up at anytime to fulfill their needs.

I was referring to his comment about meeting the love of your life in the produce section of Walmart because she was cute. I thought that was funny because Walmart is the last place I’d expect that to happen. I’m not extremely picky so attractive is not that hard of a goal to reach for me to give someone a chance. It’s more about who is attractive for me rather than only approaching those who are attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/23 04:53 PM

You just said that you aren’t arguing that short and tall men don’t have different results after arguing exactly that saying they get into relationships at the same rate. Why are you so desperate to try to convince anyone that height isn’t an advantage in dating? It couldn’t be more obvious that it is. You’re telling men who’ve experienced this that their experiences aren’t true. If a man tells you that period cramps aren’t that bad when you are currently going through them because his friend sa…

Escalating is not a normal conversation. It’s hitting on them. You can advocate for that all you want but the other guy is right that when you frequently do that you may start to develop a bad reputation and receive some harsh responses once they notice you are approaching so many women. Especially if they are in the same friend group. Even with normal conversation I’d still be cautious. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with doing it but they aren’t that friendly to so called strangers these…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/23 10:00 PM

It’s quite literally what you said: “Yes, and for many men who have had sex, it's not the most important thing either.”
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/23 03:44 PM

You sound awfully bitter here. What a picture you’ve painted of men. They just don’t care about anyone and have put in no effort into anything. So sorry this is what you’ve experienced.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/23 03:40 PM

No you cannot say no or you will be called sexist. Only women have the benefit of being able to do this without backlash.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/23 03:34 PM

Ah yes as soon as a man has sex one time he immediately becomes asexual and does not care about having sex anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/23 03:32 PM

So you’re saying that when women complain about how they are being hit on too much it’s a fallacy?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/23 03:02 PM
3

You did. You specifically said to ”talk to more women and escalate”. Key word is escalate. That’s exactly what hitting on someone means. If you want to change this to now being a normal conversation without escalation that isn’t getting guys anywhere because she’s not going to escalate for you. And yes if someone keeps this up and goes for 2+ in the same group they will talk about it and they can very easily get the creep comments.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/23 02:52 PM

Yes and they both receive the same response of not being possible and are treated as if they are the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/23 04:54 PM

That’s going to result in 20 by the end of college not even including afterwards. The issue is this same statement you just made would be denied and told only “impressionable minds” could believe such a thing. More realistic numbers like this are thrown in the same bucket as those in the op. Then you look in reality and this culture is quite common.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/23 04:25 PM

Making more will always be a benefit and being under 6ft is a disadvantage. A huge one. A lot of this is true but if you don’t agree with whatever their advice is what advice should be given to men now that’s not already?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/23 04:10 PM
5

The op is being dramatic with that comment but the point the other comment was getting at is that the innocent portrayal commonly pushed on Reddit is not accurate and it sounded like that’s what you were getting at. It’s probably not 3 a week but it’s also not 3 a year either. Hookup culture does exist despite those here pretending it doesn’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/23 04:03 PM

They are generally speaking on these types who won’t be good for them but what you’ve described is what I see as most common now. So they’re preparing them for the type they’re most likely to encounter. It would be more useful to learn to attract the more wholesome types but it won’t be as relatable as it’s becoming more and more rare.

Probably post on the TwoX sub for a few hours about how everything is so much better without a husband the break for snacks then more TwoX posting about being single and not needing men then sleep.

What you’re speaking of is usually found on those sugar dating apps but I didn’t think that woman frequent these that often. It’s usually the other way around. Maybe I’ll sign up to have a woman spoil me as you’re describing. I’ve been doing this all wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/23 01:53 PM

That wasn’t really the main focus of the post. He was talking about keeping her entertained. Money is just one of the things needed to do this.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/23 01:44 PM

Yes. For the most part this is pretty accurate. Adding that a lot of them think they are more interesting than they really are.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/23 01:41 PM

I’d love to experience this fantasy world that is spoken of here where women pay for everything. I would actually be nice to have someone else pay for a change. Unfortunately that’s not a reality I’ve ever seen but would be so interesting to see.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/23 01:38 PM
4

Women don’t have to reciprocate anything in the relationship. They know this and have no problems using this to their advantage. You need to satisfy them. They just need to show up and look good. They are the ones in demand and if you don’t give them what they want you will be replaced by someone who will. You’ll be reminded of the guys in her dms or of the guy who approached her at the beach just enough so you are aware your spot isn’t guaranteed. Op is more correct than I’d like him to be.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/23 01:34 PM

The smart ones realize their standards are unrealistic and compromise but I’m seeing the huge laundry list being more and more common. And for the laundry list I don’t think men can improve their way into passing that test.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 05:39 PM
1

I do feel the same way but that’s not what I’ve seen echoed today. Now the socially acceptable view is “the past doesn’t matter”. It’s not socially acceptable to judge someone based in their past relationships or behavior. If I do I’m called insecure among other things. Him being high value is more important to them than being safe and secure. If I say this behavior is an indication they won’t be faithful like you just did I’m called sexist.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 05:35 PM

Yes I need to provide those things plus whatever else she asks for. She doesn’t actually care about me. It’s about what I can provide. Really idk what his point is of posting this but what he described all sounds familiar. So when you say this view of relationships is bewildering I don’t see what other way they are supposed to be viewed.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 03:25 PM
12

What is this idea that men can simply chose to “improve” to then meet these standards? Most of them are unobtainable. The only answer I see is to keep searching to find one who has standards tailored towards what your strengths are so you can have a chance to meet them. What I see from your comment implies that men can meet anyone’s standards if they just improve. Then you end up with successful men who achieve accomplishments and become upset because they improved but still failed in dating. Wh…

The thing is always needing to provide something. It may be paying for dates, attention, stability, entertainment. It seems that what he’s getting at is that generally now women don’t really value their relationships for who the guy is but rather what he is providing to them which could be a variety of things. She doesn’t love the guy but loves the benefits he provides to her.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 02:33 PM

How are they supposed to view relationships? His description is much more familiar to my experiences than what you are describing. The second I’m not providing some type of benefit I expect to be dropped because there is another man in the que who will.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 02:23 PM
6

Sadly he does not become less valuable and most likely will become more valuable to women as he now is experienced and pre-selection kicks in as he now has social proof from other women of being safe and wanted. They don’t care about his exes because the past doesn’t matter according to them. He’s is useful because all of those other women thought so to let him in and the next agrees.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 02:00 PM

And that’s exactly what happens below. “How dare you compare me to a key!” It’s actually impossible to use analogies on Reddit.

What are these qualities?

What did you learn of their attraction?

So we can just throw the average height out and make it whatever we want? At least you admit this is true for those people. And if you’re 5’10 you’re considered 6’0 to them because they have no idea how to scale height. They just want to be able to say you are 6’ to show off to others
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/23 03:00 PM
3

I disagree here. Women here absolutely refuse to admit or accept that they care about height. They will go through great lengths to deny this. Although irl they are more likely to admit and be open about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/23 02:54 PM

I don’t really think I need attraction from large swathes. I just haven’t found things such as improvement, goal setting, grooming etc lead to more success in dating even though they are positive and still worth doing. I don’t feel like positively, goal setting, grooming type areas are the answer for everyone as far as relationships go.

No if that’s what you meant I’m fine with that and agree. But that’s good for me individually. I’ve learned to separate success in what you’ve described from relationships. Those plus keeping up in the gym and haircuts etc don’t necessarily translate into relationship success. That’s great to celebrate with friends but dating prospects could care less. So I don’t focus on doing these things to impress them or expect them to now be interested because of it. I consider it a way forward but not wit…

We are speaking in generalities. Nothing is going to be all men. This is not even limited to only men. Thinking of sex frequently does not guarantee anyone is low iq, dysfunctional, disordered, or obsessed. Complete bogus claims in an attempt to vilify anyone with a high sex drive.

It’s clear now you don’t respect men period you don’t have to tell me. Why do you think I called you out on it? Imagine thinking your sex drive correlates at all to IQ. And you have yet to address other women here who have shared they frequently think of it as well. You look down on it simply because it’s a behavior other than your own and you can’t comprehend or accept that people think differently than you. You should be a tad bit more humble because you are not the standard of how the rest of…

There’s nothing to be in denial about. The issue is you are putting men who think about sex often below you calling them low iq and assuming something’s wrong with them for thinking of it. These men you supposedly respect and would call high IQ think about it also but yet they’d be in high standing with you because you think they don’t. There are other women in the comments sharing they think of it regularly also are you calling them low IQ? Who are you to look down on anyone simply for the fact…

You are creating a clearly unrealistic example to push your idea. You clearly aren’t going to think of something every second with every single topic. The reality is they think of it often and frequently. Not every second like you’re trying to push. All you’re saying is that people who think differently than you are low IQ and “disordered”. Sounds like an ego issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 06:04 PM
1

You don’t know who thinks about it and who doesn’t because they aren’t all going to tell you. Some express it some don’t. Read the other answers in this thread. You want to go to the extreme and brand it as thinking of the same thing every second of every day which you know isn’t happening but it is common to think of it often.

Ok continue to hold the idea that men don’t think about sex. It’s only going to make men more confusing to you.

You don’t understand how men work and I don’t expect you to not being one. You’re calling other people disordered because of their biology. They have testosterone. They have a higher sex drive. Of course they are going to think about it more often.

Men think about sex a lot. Most do. It doesn’t mean they are low iq or something is wrong with them.

Ah yes everyone who doesn’t think like you is low IQ and disordered. I hope you know that these men you are praising for not making everything sexual can simply decide not to express their actual thoughts. Men are going to naturally tone it down around you and other women. They won’t let you onto how much they think about it and rightfully so seeing how you are looking down on them. Maybe it’s low IQ to express your thoughts with no filter around people who are going to negatively judge you base…

Idk what a satisfactory level is anymore but I know it’s high and I’m not there right now so all I can do is put forth the effort to maximize it as much as I can. I do wish it were more equal but they have the upper hand in dating so they do the selecting of who they want and they want the best so I have to qualify to them. It sucks that this amount of effort and time is required on my part but this is the only way I’ve ever found success. I can’t imagine a scenario where I’m given the chance to…

I’m looking at wealth status and looks as just the bare minimum that will hopefully give me the chance to show my personality. Those things alone won’t guarantee success but I do treat them all as the minimum necessary requirements for me to have a chance so these are the top priority. I’d probably throw social skills in there as a 4th. I don’t believe in this because I’ve never seen a man who fails in all of these areas succeed with dating. Anything is possible but I’m going off my real life in…

No one told me to believe this. I’ve lived it and determined it to be true through my own experiences. Look at every other comment other than the one you cherry picked. All of them mention looks. If you think looks status and wealth don’t play a role in attraction I really don’t know what to tell you. You will need to have at least 2 of those 3 to even get in the door for a chance of having your personality matter. And you’ll need to be successful at more than one. Probably all of them to some l…

Can you explain the claims that they are oppressed? It sounds like they are doing quite well and possibly more successful than men. I don’t fully agree with that either as it’s more likely they are single by choice and not due to their faults. I was saying you were accurate on the men’s side until you got into men needing to be better because idk what’s expected to happen there.

They’ve probably got in before yes. I’m saying that because I don’t think the problem is them getting opportunities and then blowing them by their actions. I think it’s more of them not getting the opportunities.

You are right they are not held to the same standard. Men are constantly told they need to be “better” because none of them can reach these new standards while women don’t have to improve at all and can still have success in dating. Their bar is probably lower now due to how desperate men have become for intimacy. Very curious what do men need to change to be better at that they aren’t doing? You are because you are implying they have another choice to pick a women they have chemistry with. They don’t. You can only see the female perspective of filtering through options and that’s not what dating is for men. Those women who men “vibe” with or care about are holding out for the best just as you said so they are probably not going to give these men a chance so the men will date who they can rather than be alone.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 10:00 PM
3

They don’t care because they can’t afford to. I’m sure most people want chemistry but that doesn’t mean they are able to get it. You are speaking as if guys just have multiple woman wanting to date them and they just pick the hottest and disregard her personality. That could happen but most are not in that position to be able to make that decision. They are trying with 99 and maybe 1 says yes just like you said. They are going to try with that one. You can hold out for only the best of the best …
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 09:43 PM
2

Yes men try to flaunt their money to attract women all the time. Again if your only options are a woman you don’t have much chemistry with or being alone plenty of guys are going to want to give that relationship a chance because they have no other option. If they had multiple options like you do I’m sure they would then start to care more about chemistry but usually they don’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 08:33 PM

Yeah it’s definitely more than just men but I brought it up because it’s so often denied that it’s for men at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 08:20 PM

For the few men who have a plethora of options they probably do factor that in more than others. Regular guys most likely will not have multiple options to choose from like you do. They can’t afford to hand pick the best as you are implying. They have limited options and can try to make the best of them (which could be seen as setting) or have nothing. It’s not desirable for anyone but companionship is hard to come by for men and the options are very limited. And you’re mad at them for trying to…

Yes and I’m wearing that outfit for women. Not for myself. If there were no women around I’m not dressing up or putting that outfit together. They are the reason I’d wear it. If you are wearing makeup to be more confident with attractive men you are doing it for men not yourself and the comment I replied to admitted that. I applaud them for being self aware enough to say it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 08:04 PM

I doubt men want to try with 100 women. It’s not that they don’t have a problem with it. It’s just what they have to do. With how narrowly selective they are you have to try in large numbers in a hope to get just 1 yes. And when you finally get 1 yes of course they will be tempted to settle because they know how hard it was to get that yes and don’t know when or if another is coming. There is no time to worry about chemistry when your main concern is finding that one yes. So yes that’s not going…

So it’s not men actively choosing to be on no one’s menu and not them lacking effort. The effort that they put in is stupid by your judgment so it’s totally disregarded. Saying they have a choice implies they know exactly what to do, say, and work on to be on someone’s menu but actively choose not to which I don’t see happening. I have thought about it. If I approach someone and get rejected this happens in a short amount of time. How am I to display emotional intelligence in this small timeframe of meeting someone? I don’t see how emotional intelligence is shown off in this initial approach which is the only chance I may get. My main issue with this is that I don’t think this is always a result of men not putting in effort and I don’t believe that any man could become remarkable/dateable to you if they work hard enough…

I don’t see how grooming and hygiene makes anyone stand out in a crowd. It’s a pretty regular occurrence. As for style if I wear a giant yellow T-shirt everyday that will stand out sure but how does this make me remarkable? If you’re in this situation you don’t know her well enough to know which of these she’ll want. You’d have to make this decision right away and if you don’t it’ll be too late. You pretty much have to treat it as a dating sim seeing how quickly this decision has to be made.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/23 04:50 PM

Your telling us “just become remarkable bro” as if everyone just knows exactly what this means and is capable but is refusing to do so. What does this even mean? What has a man done to get on the menu and become remarkable to you? You say this as if any man can just become remarkable to you if they try hard enough be we know that’s not realistically happening.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/23 03:48 PM

So you’re telling me the 9s and 10s only don’t like me because I haven’t put in work? Please tell me what work I should be putting in because if it’s really that simple I’d be busting my ass doing this “work”.

“looks aren't that important -- its personality that matters" was the exact quote we are discussing. Not ALL WOMEN don’t care. This is why I said it’s pointless discussing this with you. I’ve just given you multiple examples of women saying exactly this and you still deny it. Literally textbook examples of what you claim is never said. You aren’t looking for proof you’re just looking to argue and an opportunity to throw a “men are stupid” out there.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/23 06:13 PM

I’m just giving examples of them saying look’s aren’t important. I see comments like these a lot and have heard similar. So when a guy who may be inexperienced in dating sees and hears women saying this they may get confused until they get out there in life and find out that looks may be more important. So when you ask why do guys not think looks and sexual attraction are important many times it’s because they hear and read comments like these and don’t have the experience to know any better.

/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/23 09:56 PM

Ah yes respect and niceness will lead to 100+ women just waiting for the chance to be with you. So there couldn’t possibly be low n count men who are respectful and nice. No way. There also aren’t any disrespectful men who have a high ncount?

You can succeed in the gym and at work and still fail with women. You will create resentment if you’re telling men that the boss with the great body is going to lead to success with women when they become the boss with the great body and it doesn’t.

I would guess that the fit guy would be more likely to get the attention but this is the problem. He now believes he should be getting this attention and if he puts in the work and doesn’t receive it that resentment is going to grow. I’m all for being a hard worker but I don’t think that would solve the question at hand and could make it worse in some cases. This could lead to more resentment if they do this with the expectation that it will lead to success in dating when the result is women not caring or acknowledging the progress.

I’m sure that’s often true but when you don’t experience that it’s not going to be an enjoyable experience. Guys will go through this where no one ever makes it easy for them. When all of your experiences are difficult and negative due to there not being genuine interest you aren’t going to want to continue and you’re going to think of it negatively. Not everyone experiences genuine interest like you do and it’s not always a matter of effort.

You seem like you are just being purposefully being difficult at this point. Not “FWB benefits”. You find out your man gave A relationship benefit to an ex or a FWB that he does not do for you even if you ask. A benefit. That he did for others but did not do for you. That is the equivalent of how op and other men feel. This is not her doing it once and now all men have to wait. It’s her continuing to do both where some do and some don’t
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/22 09:35 PM
2

You’re getting stuck on the specifics of the example. The answer is no. You would not be happy to learn your man gave his ex or FWB benefits that he does not give you. That’s not progress. It’s a lack of attraction and respect. I’m not going to date someone and give them less than I have an ex. And if I did it signals that I don’t like them as much as the others.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/22 08:43 PM
2

It’s not entitlement. Its not demanding you receive the same. It’s an observation that she respected and desired him more than she does to you who had to wait. If you enjoy knowing your man treated his ex better than he treats you that’s very strange but you’re really just saying that to disagree.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/22 08:21 PM
2

So a man who gave his ex benefits that you don’t receive is progress? When you have rules for one guy that another guy doesn’t have to follow you’ve just set the precedent that one is better than the other as one is receiving the benefits of not having to play by any rules. The problem is that the one who is receiving the benefit benefits is not the one who is “relationship material”. This isn’t about women who did ONS in the past and now they don’t. It’s about the ones who do both concurrently.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/22 07:58 PM
2

You can skirt around the specifics of the example but bottom line is if your man gave his ex specific benefits that you want and have asked for and then didn’t give them to you yes that would be a problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/22 07:18 PM
3

If they applied this across the board and made every man wait that would hold value. Making one guy wait when others did not does not mean the man will think they aren’t “easy”. If she has a ONS she’s given him a level of respect that wasn’t given to the other men who had to wait. Even if you didn’t intend to. Your actions are telling him he is better than the other men so does not have to wait and can bypass any rules that the others who are made to wait have to play by. That you desire him and…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/22 04:41 PM

This whole idea is that you are in a relationship with that person so yes they should feel that way to some degree. If you are dating a man who spoiled his ex and did all the chores around the house and then stared dating you and made you do all of them and never did those things for you it’s guaranteed you’d feel the same way.

It she valued his opinion she’d do it with him just as fast as she did with anyone else. That would signal she actually likes and respects him. If you force him to wait while others did not have to his opinion would be that you don’t respect him as much as you did your previous partners. If it’s his opinion she’s worried about it’s backwards and even if she pulled this off it’d be dishonest to deceive the man into thinking all other guys have to wait like he did when they didn’t

It seems like an ego thing. A way to disrespect them. Often times this escalates into how they are trash and none of them are good enough for me etc. It’s really just used as a way to insult. Implying men are worthless.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/22 03:09 PM

No it’s pretty easy to read up on simple concepts like this. That’s why you’re getting so much pushback
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/22 04:12 PM

You aren’t arguing with me. You are arguing against science. I’ve seen your other reply’s and they aren’t going well because you’re arguing against a pretty common idea that is true in most cases.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/22 04:06 PM

It’s not my view it’s biology. Women biologically want men with power because men with power are more likely to have recourses to provide. Women seek larger men because they are perceived as being able to protect them. Men and women are biologically wired to seek certain traits. It’s how humans evolved. If you don’t agree with science you’re going to have to speak with the people who study evolution not me.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/22 03:44 PM
1

He’s being dramatic of course it’s not going to play out that way but yes money and power does attract them in general. Having power over others and being dominant is seen as an attractive trait. Having money and demonstrating you have succeeded is an attractive trait. It may not turn them on on-site but it’s going to heavily contribute to you being able to do so. Maybe you say this doesn’t matter but generally it usually does.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/22 03:38 PM
0

He’s generalizing. In general a man with power is going to be more successful then a man who does not with all else equal. There will be some like you who want to go against the grain and say they don’t care but most times this will not be the case. Then you have those who say they don’t care but in reality still chase these traits. The evidence is biological. Just like men are wired to seek traits like wide hips for fertility women seek traits such as power height athleticism etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/22 03:12 PM
1

How are we still arguing that money and status doesn’t attract women? It does and always has. It’s a part of evolution. If you want to say you don’t care that’s possible but you would be in the minority here.

I’ve given you examples check college for one. You’ve given me nothing but claims I’ve been fooled by some algorithm like you’re the only one who’s discovered what an algorithm is. But now it all makes sense. You are either a boomer or didn’t have much or any social media in your day so you don’t actually know what is posted there. You’re just speaking on it like you do.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 05:51 PM
1

College is one example of where this happens not the only time. Anyone who’s experienced this knows what is posted on social media. Clearly you’ve missed that experience because you have no clue what I’m referring to. I love how this “algorithm” has duped everyone but you. The algorithm doesn’t determine who I’ve met or come in contact with. And what pages are you viewing to know this is a small percentage?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 05:44 PM
1

I’m only using college as an example because it’s the most obvious place this happens but looks like the only posts you’ve seen are from Mormon church missions where everyone is wearing long sleeve turtlenecks. Apparently it’s very rare for anyone to post any revealing pics to social media and you’ve scanned every profile to know this never happens. With your limited experience of ever seeing this rare phenomenon I don’t think we will be able to discuss the topic of this post which is why they d…

I’m not complaining about them doing shit. I’m calling you out for trying to push that this isn’t common when you don’t even have a handle of how social media works. Pulling bullshit claims out of your ass that only a tiny percentage of them do this then pointing to an “algorithm” you know nothing about.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 04:58 PM
1

No I just told you I decide to follow people based on if I know them or not… The fuck are you not understanding about that sentence?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 04:48 PM
1

I decide who I follow based on if I know them or not. There is not an algorithm that decides that for me. I decide what profiles I view out of the ones i follow. Not an algorithm. Im not using the explore page with recommendations. A human being deciding to post revealing pics because they get likes 1. Is not an algorithm and 2. Does not refute the fact that it’s common. This is the reason that it is common. Because those pics get more likes. That’s why they are common.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 04:42 PM
1

No because of actual people I manually followed. I select the pages I view. Do you know what an algorithm is? More importantly do you know how social media works?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 04:36 PM
1

You don’t have to be on spring break to post these. Maybe you’re following people from stem backgrounds posting their latest meeting from chess club idk but revealing pics on ig are very common. Really on any platform that’s just one example.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 04:32 PM

They go insane if you suggest anything even close to this. Lack of empathy is one thing but damn why get so pissed about it. There are plenty of things that aren’t critical needs but still important to have. This thread isn’t too bad but I don’t even want to bring it up elsewhere due to the hate
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 04:25 PM
1

I’m not looking through random recommended posts on the explore page. These are actual people I’ve known irl who do this. This is not a matter me getting duped by some recommendation to random users. It’s insane that was your response. The question was not if they post these pics but why. Have you been to college? You’d see these like clockwork every summer. It’s not just influencers posting these it’s everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 03:58 PM
2

How is it small? Pretty much all of the IGs I’ve seen have the string bikini pics with the famous pose of their back facing the camera. Not a small percentage of anything I’ve seen. It’s quite common. Are you scanning every profile?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/22 03:12 PM
2

That’s their argument. If it benefits them it’s now all of a sudden not toxic masculinity anymore. If it doesn’t benefit them then it is. This is really the main criteria they use to apply this label. So here they are providing a classic example of why your post is correct and they don’t even realize it.

“work is seen as more and more publicity acceptable” as in its increasingly becoming accepted. Not that it’s totally finished being accepted. It’s much more acceptable now that it was in the 90s or early 00s. I totally agree with him that a substantial amount of progress has been made towards this being accepted. I don’t think they should force it either no. But I do see what they define as attractive is out of touch with reality and what they can actually get. The overwhelming attention and praise received from Social media inflates a lot of egos and creates an unrealistic expectation of what’s attractive and I think that’s the problem rather than whether or not they settle. “Manosphere: This is what happens when you bitches won't tend to men's needs! It's YOUR FAULT he did that.” Your comments are full of these mocking the people you clearly have it out for. I’m not saying shit like this to people I like. Of course it’s not all men but like I said at least the men here it’s clear you do. We can start with you mocking men and their issues which clearly upsets you. That’s not something you do to people you like. Majority of these respondents were not dating with social media and OLD present and dominating the way we meet now. I’d like to see the number of those who had to date through this timeframe. Also isn’t that article hinting that the number of those living single is growing?

They do but those types often also can end up divorced if they do find marriage. The party types have a tendency to go downhill later on and are not who I think of when I think of stable relationships. This type is more likely to rely on their beauty to get by which stops working at some point. Not all of them do of course but I’ve seen it more frequently with this group.

Usually I’m willing to hear people out but in this case it’s a pretty obvious troll after the blatantly hypocritical things you were saying before so do that weird shit elsewhere because you’re clearly not speaking in good faith.

They don’t even have good relationships. Look at Brady or Will. The best NFL quarterback of all time wasn’t good enough for his wife. One of the most successful actors out couldn’t keep his wife happy. If they can’t do it who can? May have been done in the past but the era we’re in now isn’t the same
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/22 08:45 PM
1

Yes I have to dumb it down that much because you can only understand one point at a time. You just finally said you get his point that “there is hypocrisy in not caring.” If you don’t care I don’t give a fuck if you do. Im not trying to convince you. The point is you know it’s hypocritical. That’s all that’s being pointed out. It’s doesn’t mean jack shit if there is a widespread solution or not. No one is saying there is. Not every issue needs an easy solution to be valid.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/22 12:38 AM
1

Using that as a crutch isn’t going to work. I guarantee there are issues that don’t have a widespread government solution that you still think are a valid concern. And I narrowed it down to that piece of his point to simplify it because you keep getting distracted on the analogy used. You’ve admitted you know it’s hypocritical so there’s not much else to be said here.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/22 11:31 PM
1

Again it’s not about the practicality of whether or not this can be solved. It’s your attitude towards it that’s the point of focus. I can continue to repeat until you understand. Let me leave out the analogy so aren’t distracted by that and you can focus on his main point. I’m explaining what he meant. You can debate what you think is right with someone else. His point: You can be a good person who works hard and still lack success in dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/22 11:02 PM
1

You don’t need a government mandate to help people with dating. You could introduce them to a friend. Shit you could give them a pat on the back and say hope it gets better for you. Instead the results we get here are assuming it’s because they are a terrible person or telling guys they have a shit personality and need to fix themselves. Op was probably driven to write this post because of others hinting lack of success in dating is because of someone not being a good person. You can be a good p…

There is no proposal to fix dating through government. The point is you flip flop from supporting hand outs on one topic then flip to the pull yourself up by your bootstraps mentality to those struggling with dating. That’s the point of the post. Your values don’t hold steady across the board. They are not the same level of importance but they fall in the same category. If you believe that those without water should be helped it would seem that you would also believe those who are struggling wit…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/22 09:01 PM
1

This is really the point of the op I was explaining. You have that view but you apply it equally to both water dating or whatever else. There are others who pick and chose when to apply this narrative. In politics they may advocate for hand outs but their tune changes once it comes to dating. Not sure why he brought it up but the flip flopping is definitely there
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/22 08:34 PM

You can’t explain how people deserve anything. That’s your own definition. The only thing I mentioned is whether or not people deserve is help from others. At the very least I do expect some sort of concern or recognition.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/22 08:32 PM
2

There probably isn’t a blanket answer to solve it all at once but it’s not going to get any better when people have your attitude. You’re a prime example of what the op is talking about. It’s that you think those with other issues deserve help from others rather than expecting them to fix their problems themselves but with dating you don’t apply this same logic and you place the burden solely on them. Your attitude changes but both of theses groups are facing problems mostly out of their control…

There are plenty of things that you can physically survive without but that doesn’t mean you don’t need it. You’re also speaking from a place of privilege so of course something that’s easily attainable to you is not going to seem important. You could wear the same clothes every day and not shower and survive. It’s still important and still going to effect you even though it’s not technically needed. It’s a valid concern despite your biased against it.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/22 07:36 PM
1

Yes I do agree too but with many guys your options are woman with red flags or nothing. I figure a lot of them say fuck it and go with the shitty relationship and ignore the red flags because that’s their only option and rather have something than nothing. You could hold higher standards but in return none of them may give you a chance.

“It’s just that not watching means more (attention) goes to one’s partner” They want your attention and other things that receive attention are “bad” because it’s less attention for them. And yes going straight to insults calling someone socially stunted for a one word response is quite aggressive. That’s what happens when people hear hard truths they don’t like. Not sure why this one got to you but I’m just pointing out the root of this issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/22 07:34 PM

If I go outside and club every night. I won’t “always” be getting pussy. Like I said some average guys get lucky and it happens occasionally but you aren’t average if you are “always” bringing home women from the club every time you go.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/22 08:54 PM

They have to have some high level skill , status, or value. They have to provide something. I’m taking about being in someone’s inner circle and personally hanging around them. The guys you’re mentioning aren’t in your inner circle.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/22 08:51 PM

Any guys who “always get pussy” are not average. Average men may get it once in a while if they are lucky. Maybe that’s where we disconnect

It’s everywhere. This is the most common advice I’ve gotten and seen in regards to dating so I did believe it until I actually experienced the ugly truth.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/22 06:45 PM

Naturally yes I would expect this to happen. The men online are not able to find women who want to interact with them. So they probably don’t know many women. You don’t even know these guys exist because you don’t encounter them outside of brief passing which most won’t bother to remember. The guys who are attractive enough or have enough social status/followers to be worthy enough of being accepted into a co-Ed friend group most likely ended up there because they don’t have issues getting women…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/22 06:36 PM

From the feminist view it makes sense because your number 1 goal is to never admit any if your privilege and to focus only on hardships you face. The huge benefits they receive in dating does not support their agenda of how hard they have it so of course they want to deny anything that shows they actually are powerful
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/22 06:30 PM
3

Problem. You probably aren’t getting invited to hang out with people who enjoy casual and where it’s common if you aren’t top 20%. The difficulty in getting laid comes from not being accepted or invited into these circles. Once you’re in sure you’ve got good odds. The difficulty is getting in which is not easy as an average guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/22 06:26 PM

No because the rules of Reddit prohibit that. If that sub were on another platform that allowed this they would
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/22 03:02 PM

Believe it or not there are probably guys who have had bad experiences with women who think less of them. So they probably enjoy watching when the shoe is on the other for for once and they are they ones with the L. Like watching the people who always shit on you get shit on. This is just a guess but that’s what would make sense to me

And what does “work on themselves” mean to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/22 02:55 PM

Well ideally I’d hope there wouldn’t be a need for it to be sold but in reality it may be the only way some men have to experience intimacy so there is a need for it. In many cases I do think it’s a good thing. Maybe not a good thing for a married man to do
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/22 02:44 PM

The only competing your doing is for a small subset of men at the top. For most men if a woman wants him she can get him pretty easily because most men are easy or desperate. As a woman men are generally competing for you so you have the luxury of focusing on connections or anything you want from each of your prospects. As a man you need to be focused on impressing and proving you are the best option which pushes any other thoughts to the backseat.

If you’re in a major city and not an irrelevant flyover state then yes you’d better be at the top of you game to pull this off and your going to need a good majority of the qualifications he mentioned plus either money or status. The dating market has changed big time. Like imagine going somewhere like Miami and expecting to be able to pull being an average guy. Those women are looking for b list celebs and up. There could be places where average guys thrive but I don’t know about them.

Sounds like a small group concerned about that. With hookup tinder culture all those risks are an afterthought. They find an attractive guy the last thing they are thinking about is risks anymore they don’t care.

“Looks are some of the last things I care about”….. “my current partner is extremely attractive”. Classic example of watch as they do not as they say for guys out there. Reminds me of the just so happens my bf is 6’5 memes.

This is all very new and recent. The trend has just started so you’re not going to see it enough to realize yet. It you’re thinking back in 2010 no this wasn’t happening much. Current day it’s now becoming the norm so people used to how dating was in the past won’t relate. That was a different generation. The newer ones are different.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 06:19 PM

I’d guess you’re not as active on social media or constantly posting thirst traps like they are. I’d think that’s a good thing meaning you’d be more down to earth than the average woman getting this attention feeding their ego.

They aren’t given the respect to be a real man without women’s approval. That’s what garners you respect as man. Other men respect you because of it. Other women respect you just for the fact you are desired. Typical pre selection. In this society the opinion of women is what dictates everything because they have what every man needs.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/22 01:41 PM
3

Even if it was a choice raising your standards as a man is going to eliminate the small possibilities you had. You can’t just get a date with anyone you want but living that way probably skews your pov to feel like everyone has that same amount of power.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/22 08:50 PM
4

I’m sure as a woman you do that but that’s not what we’re talking about.. You said men should have higher standards. I’m saying they have no options to place those standards on. Most are not in a position to chose who they want. They date whoever they can get. If there’s 0-2 options of women willing to date you raising your standards is pointless. Men don’t have the options women do.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/22 08:37 PM
8

You don’t have anyone to apply standards to when there are 0 options.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/22 07:57 PM
11

Probably because the still receive intimacy on demand. The can basically order anything they want from a relationship without the commitment of actually being in one. I’d expect them to be fine when the game is rigged in their favor. Men are left with nothing and blamed for it so I’d expect they are the ones struggling more.
