Women do earn the same as men, they work fewer hours in average, retire earlier on average, and choose lower paying fields. Society doesn’t pressure women into these fields. It’s a fact that women like to work with people and men with things, working with things is more dangerous a lot of the time therefor deserving a higher pay.
