Yeah absolutely not. I find it controlling and think the cons greatly outweigh the pros. I also wouldn’t say it necessarily results in marrying a HVM and I personally need to be sexually compatible with my partner so it definitely would not be the route I’d ever take.

Most responses are saying they do care… but I’ll just say I don’t. I’m personally not really sure what my body count is. But I will 100% be loyal to someone I’m committed to and that’s all I ask of my partner. Obviously this is a preference and if you don’t feel the same, great! Just find someone who feels the same way :)

You said you staunchly against children—I’ll respond as a woman who also does not want children. You can absolutely live out “traditional gender roles” without having a kid. There are plenty of ways to show your feminine side without becoming a mother. I have a bit of a wild side but am in a secure, long term relationship. It sounds like you just need to build your confidence and communicate with your partner on why you feel like this. Therapy would be helpful but I know that’s not possible righ…

Thank you! The mindset some of these individuals have is disgusting.

I’m a woman and I honestly prefer men closer to my height. It feels more intimate to me. Your height is something you literally cannot control so who cares?

I’m not usually a super agreeable person either, but I’m with a man who knows how to handle it. I’ve also learned to just “pick my battles” if you will, and that has helped me come across a lot less stubborn. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized many things are not worth my peace to argue over, and I think simply recognizing that will help.

Well, this year or not, it’s wrong to have a problem with it. I understand your concerns and they are valid, but as OP stated, her family and friends have issues with it and that is absolutely not okay. That is hurtful to their potential children because it already sounds like their mind is made up about starting a family. As long as both parents are open and willing to talk about who they are and where they came from, they can raise strong children who feel comfortable in their identity. It’s u…

I know this isn’t the simple answer but I’d encourage you to STRONGLY consider the family and friends of yours who have an issue with your relationship. It is absolutely not okay, particularly in this day and age, to have a problem with interracial relationships. It’s racist and if I were you, that behavior from my family and friends would not be acceptable. I just wouldn’t tolerate it. Raise your kids to be kind and appreciate all people and cultures. Do not let your family and friends be a par…

OP said she doesn’t want kids.

I think she possibly just pointed it out because a lot of young women have this misconception and it can be harmful to self-worth in many cases.

The fact that you said “communication between us doesn’t flow naturally” is somewhat concerning to me. Someone else said there isn’t enough information here to really give you solid advice, but you should always, always make sure the communication aspect is there. I’d say it’s one of the most important things in a relationship, whether it’s your boyfriend, your parents, siblings, bosses, friends, etc. I’ve been in relationships that the communication DID feel more forced and I’ve come to realize…

Interesting. Can’t say I agree and I’m sorry you haven’t felt what you think to be true love! Maybe I’m not looking at it as literally as you but thanks for sharing

May I ask why you don’t believe in that?

Thank you! I feel like anyone who “settles” just doesn’t have the confidence in themselves. Which is sad but that’s just how it is.

Omg I literally just replied to someone here and got banned from posting on r/offmychest. I’m not even “all in” on RPW if you will. So dumb.

Thank you for saying this. I feel the same way and it’s disheartening to read comments claiming we’re angry, self-loathing, and hateful... It kind of seems like the other way around haha

I thought your post made some good points and I was just generally curious to hear from “RPW.” After the mod pointed out the sidebar with information (still learning to navigate Reddit efficiently), I read through many of the posts and am even more confused to be honest. For example, a lot of the RPW philosophy seems to revolve around family and finding a good man to procreate with. I 100% do not want children, does that automatically exclude me from identifying with the RPW theory? I’m just try…

I appreciate your response! I will certainly look into more content regarding this topic but I do hope I can have future, civil conversations with RPW to continue expanding my thoughts on the matter. Have a lovely day

I’m questioning to understand better because there ARE points of RPW that I subject to. I apologize if I came across as rude.

I apologize. I’m not trying to “study for my amusement.” I am genuinely curious to understand your thoughts and opinions. Shouldn’t you want more women to feel comfortable in this community and ask questions to see if this is a lifestyle path they want to take? Again, I’m sorry if my post came across as rude but I just wanted more insight. No judgement.

It says this sub is “for all women who want to improve themselves and their relationships” and I want to do that. I don’t disagree with everything here at all. I believe there are parts of this lifestyle I can incorporate into what I want. I’m someone who likes to read about different opinions than my own and analyze why I think and feel the way I do which I don’t think is strange. It should be more normal to question your beliefs.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
