3	Can we talk about how aggressively men get off on cheating, getting caught, and NOT getting broken up with immediately? Their egos are astronomical at this point. Very true. You described my situation with my ex well. I kept forgiving him, but I didn't know at the time exactly what I was forgiving him for. He would downplay his lying and cheating so at the time I thought he was just telling small lies. I would forgive him for that, but I was unaware of the cheating. 7	Like…I know it’s bad, but I didn’t know it was THIS bad. Wow, I never thought of it it like that. My ex would say stuff like this. I'd catch him lying and he'd say "Well AT LEAST I'm not cheating on you. Most guys would do that, but I'm not most guys." Like I should be grateful and give him a cookie. Foolishly, I agreed and stayed with him. I found out later that he was with at least 2 girls for most, if not all, of the time that we were together.
