Sometimes I wonder if people like you fully understand that women are individuals, not a uniform group of programmed behaviors. As a woman, I find that kind of thinking really unsettling. Also, as a scientist, I find it funny when people use evolutionary psychology like it explains everything. It's not respected in much of the scientific community (it is often seen as pseudoscience) because human behavior is much more complex than simple evolutionary explanations. Also, our brain is highly plast…

Who are those women? I've never met a woman who doesn't avoid them. Who is telling you these things? Just because some red pill guy said it on the internet, it doesn't mean it's true.

I am curious if it is really that you cannot find a person like that, or you behave in ways that induce this kind of response. Like, if you are demeaning to your partner, she will get angry. But who actually started a drama here - you or her? How much accountability are you taking for your own role in these dynamics? It can be easier to blame the other person and frame it as a gender issue (as a scapegoat), but it's harder, and more productive, to reflect on your own behavior and how it affects …

Also, "anti-feminist egalitarian man" is so funny to me because it is oximoron. If you are anti-feminist, you are anti-egalitarian. There are many branches of feminism, and of course you will not agree with all thoughts and directions. I mean, by default you are disagreeing with some because they are sometimes opposing to each other. But feminism at its core is egalitarianism. There are just differences in how people think it should be achieved. It's important to keep in mind that women are not …

To me this reads as this woman is in a relationship with very traditional gender roles. In that kind of relationship, expectations are tied to gender roles. I am in egalitarian relationship and I cannot relate to any of this at all. Instead of treating this as some ultimate truth about female/male differences that is permanent, what about realizing that these trends appear depending on societal roles but are not set in stone. If these dynamics bother you, it's more useful to focus on finding a p…

First of all, why are you framing this as a gendered pattern? I experienced these issues from both sides in relationships. It's more likely a common relationship communication problem than something specific to women. You are just male and attributting it to a woman because that's who you have relationships with. Also, you're assuming manipulation instead of just asking directly. The irony is that that kind of assumption actually fits the stereotype you're attributing to women, reading intent in…

I agree there can be trends in how men and women are socialized to communicate, and those patterns can show up in relationships. But trends are not the same as rules. The issue with tuis is that a lot of conflict comes from treating stereotypes as expectations rather than seeing them as possible patterns. It can be self perpetuating. For example, where men do not ask for emotional validation although they need it because it's not manly.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
