There is a time during which I'd have considered uncertainty about marriage a deal breaker. Now, I'd absolutely disagree. I believe that as long as someone wants a long term (or lifelong) partnership, the papers or ceremony or performance of marriage is not at all important to me. I'd give anything to have this perspective in the past, when I was judgemental and harsh about my wanting marriage (or feeling like I did) to the man I was with. I should have enjoyed the time we had together instead, …

I think I am going to get off of this subreddit. I joined when I was in a happy long term relationship that ended last year the ending of which allowed me to see that I think I am supposed to be alone, permanently. I wish things would have worked out, but I think it's just me, and how I am. I lost everything I loved last year and I don't have much left to give. Thanks for all the positivity, good luck out there.

I am thankful for my new car. I've been going to the gym faithfully.

I lift, but I've been only doing so 2x a week, and feeling very frustrated with bad bike fit. So this week I'm lifting 3x, moving weights up, and getting some help with my bike.

I'm grateful to be dating a man that asks me how my day is. Really makes me smile.

I just finished week 8 of Strong Curves and highly recommend it! Great way to get into lifting, and certainly helping my figure.

Thank you for this in depth reply. I'm really going to give everything you suggested a go, and I'm pretty optimistic it will help. Thank you.

I trust him, and I've no interest in cheating on him. I don't have "urges of infidelity," and your opinion seems pessimistic at best.

I said low to no contact because he will be biking and doing charity work so he'll be pretty busy. However I believe some days he won't be able to talk at all, which is fine. Thank you for your concern though.

I have a book I write in that is "to him" just to get my feelings out if the mood strikes me, but so far that has only made me feel even more sad. I just got back from an internship that had us apart for a couple of months, so I feel like I had plenty of opportunity to become more independent and know myself more -- I definitely do after that. Something I learned about myself is that I do best when I can be around a small but close knit group of loved ones. I'm going to keep writing though, than…

I think you might be right -he might have just been feeling down.

He did not elaborate further, and couldn't give examples. Which is part of why I was confused.

Personally, I shave every other day. First I go with the grain with a double-edge razor. Then I go against it with a multiple-bladed razor (more like a typical razor you'd buy in the store).

I really appreciate this advice - I will give it a try. Thank you so much!

No worries! Trust me, I want to spend the summer with him. However, I know that this means a great deal to him and thus the best thing for me to do is to put my wants aside and try to support him best I can.

I'm not looking forward to him being gone for sure. I'm only really worried about potential injuries and sunburn, though. Why would you be concerned, may I ask?

I should clarify - I am not looking to be involved with this event specifically, but more like how to be more involved in the future and how to deal with feeling excluded.

It's a pretty self-sufficient event - he will be gone a total of 70 days and I will be taking classes (in another state) during the time, unfortunately. But I will certainly ask about helping during future events, thank you for the suggestion!

Any healthy woman is completely capable of handling herself alone. No, we don't "need" a man, but we may want one. Men and women compliment each other - that is the base of RPW. Not "women need men and cannot function without them." I think you may have misunderstood.

Make sure you can narrow the gap before going with Invisalign. In order to close my gap, the dentist would have to cut the part of the mouth connecting my gums to my lip. This is why some people have a gap - that tissue prevents the teeth from moving closer to each other. I have just accepted my gap, and my boyfriend thinks it's just part of me - it never made a negative difference in my attractiveness. Good luck with whatever you decide!

I don't know why your boyfriend would tell you that you're not his physical ideal, but men absolutely do care about your character. It is absolutely not healthy to obsess about your appearance, because in a lifelong relationship, that will eventually age. That's okay. That's normal. You can take care of yourself, but no one is immune to time. Personality will outlive even the best surgery. Your post makes me concerned for you and your self-esteem, and ultimately, your relationship. Edit: More th…

Generally, I found giving him space (without interaction that you begin) to be the best course of action. If he wants food, have it accessible to him but otherwise I'd just leave him be.

I think every decision through. I'm aware this is vague, but I prefer to avoid being super specific because I really don't like lists that resemble demands or narrow perceptions of what a happy life or relationship can look like.

My motive is that I want to find someone who challenges me, encourages me, loves me and values me to go through life and all its changes with me. I want to do the same for him, too. End game? Marriage, maybe one child (but maybe not), just enjoying life as a team. If I do have a child, I would prefer to stay home some of the first few years because I want to foster bilingualism and breastfeed as well. Unsure after that - I'm flexible to whatever comes.

We regularly call each other 'love,' and he calls me darling or sweetheart in particularly sweet moments. I call him 'dear' a lot, and he also calls me sugar tits on occasion, haha.

I am a French student (very academic, cannot procrastinate, motivated and empathetic - INFJ) and my SO is a Political Science student soon to be Masters in Public Health student (logical, strong-and-silent type, brilliant and self-assured, caring). Right now, though, he delivers pizza. Haha.

I love Atlanta. Now that I'm in FL for school, I miss the wide array of venues, restaurants, and events... Not to mention the people. Although ATL is big, there are all kinds of people there. Plus, most everyone lives in the 'burbs so you can choose whichever suits your fancy.

Hello! I have ADHD-combined hyperactive impulsive. I was diagnosed in high school after beginning to self advocate after reaching a breaking point with some serious issues with focus, compulsive behaviors, and organization. While it is true that you may not have ADHD, it is real and diagnosed in many different countries (albeit under different names). It was first noted in the early 1900s if I recall correctly. As for the US, The revision of ADHD symptoms and criterion in the DSM-IV are more spe…
